The first film:

  • The Jack Russell terrier puppy managing to get out of first his cage and then the dognappers' van while also helping Beethoven escape.
  • Beethoven scares the bullies harassing Ted, who didn't know he was behind him and thought they were running from him when he raised his fists.
    Ted: And don't come back!
  • Beethoven saving Emily from drowning in the babysitter's pool when her cries for help go unheard by anyone. Adding to the awesomeness is when Ryce responds to the babysitter's attempts to cover up the incident by contacting her mother. Sealing the deal is when Alice comes back to pick up the kids and fires the babysitter for her carelessness.
Babysitter: She must’ve snuck out while I was watching Ted and Ryce. It was hot out, so I guess she wanted to take a little swim!
Alice: And where were you while all this was happening?
Babysitter: I was where I was supposed to be; inside, watching the other two! If Emily had stayed where I put her, none of this would’ve happened! If you ask me, what these children need is a little discipline.
Alice: What these children need is their mother. You’re fired.
  • Beethoven crashing George's dinner meeting with Brad and Brie, who unknown to his owners were plotting to take over George's business. Tying his leash around the table, he ends up dragging the scheming couple away when Brad sends him off to play fetch, with the pair still in their chairs. George is furious, but Alice applauds Beethoven for crashing their dishonest deal.
Alice: Those two idiots insulted your kids, and they treated me like dirt, and he was the only one of us who had the nerve to give them the ride they deserved.
  • When George gets physical evidence that Dr. Varnick was faking his abuse claim against Beethoven (as Emily stated earlier), and the vet threatens to have George arrested if he dares to take a swing at him. He answers the threat by punching him into a dog kennel.
George: What the hell are you trying to pull?!
  • Ted gets one himself when he hears a gunshot from Dr. Varnick's warehouse with George and Beethoven already inside fighting the dognappers while Alice is in a phone booth talking to the police. The police are nowhere in sight, so he drives his parents' station wagon into the warehouse, saving his father and Beethoven while also sending a flurry of syringes into Dr. Varnick's chest.

The second film:

  • Ted and Emily manage to smuggle Missy and Beethoven’s pups out of Regina’s condo basement before Regina comes back. She doesn’t suspect anything until she finds the puppies gone.
  • Beethoven saving Ryce by ripping apart Taylor’s lake house and getting Taylor to fall in the lake.
  • George’s Let's Get Dangerous! attitude when his kids tell him about Regina taking the puppies. Keep in mind that, like their father, George has gotten annoyed by the puppies and their antics. Just like with Beethoven, he is willing to risk his life to save his furry little family members.
  • Ted and Beethoven teaming up to scare away a bully that is antagonising Ted's crush by stealing her tickets. At first Ted's tricks with Beethoven fail to impress, but the last command to bite the bully in the groin does the trick.
    • Noteworthy that in the first movie it was Beethoven that did all the work, but this time we see that Ted Took a Level in Badass since the first movie, teaming up with Beethoven to take on bullies.
    • Ted is also rewarded for his efforts in his crush finally agreeing to his offer for a coke.
  • The outcome of Brillo's divorce custody battle against Regina when it comes to Missy. Noteworthy because despite the divorce system being tipped in favour of women, Regina's abusive behaviour toward Missy and her puppies throughout the movie sealed the judge's decision to let Brillo keep his beloved dog.
