Part One: Into The Dragon's Pit

Hello, everyone, Psyga315 here again. For those who don't know, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger had premiered a short time ago. Gokaiger is pretty much Kamen Rider Decade for Super Sentai. In other words, a crossover. And since I like crossovers, I decided to watch another episode of Pooh's Adventures... Wait, why the hell would I do this to myself?

For those who don't know, I had livebloged an episode of Pooh's Adventures sometime ago and I shall sum it up as this: Take a movie, and shove unnecessary clips of Pooh and other characters into it to make it look like they are involved into the story, but in reality, they are not. Read my previous liveblog for how it went.

So, what's today's episode gonna be? Pooh's Adventures of Scooby-Doo And The Alien Invaders. Unlike the other movie, I know a bit more about the movie Pooh and Friends are gonna riff on. As You Know, it stars Scooby Doo and features Alien Invaders. This is one of the few Scooby Doo movies that has a modern art style, before they switched to the What's New, Scooby-Doo? style art. And while I want to dive into the movie there is one more thing I have to note: this is done by a different Youtube User.

No, I am not kidding. BowserMovies1989 was not the only one doing this. There are many people doing this. To put in perspective, it's like The Abridged Series, only it features the same main character (though not always, and it's not like they do anything important), it abridges a movie (Not really, it prolongs it, I abridge it however), and it's not funny (there are some moments though). When you have time, check out the Wiki, yes, they have a wiki. However, right now, we must set our sights towards this episode. So let's dig into Pooh's Adventures of Scooby-Doo And The Alien Invaders.

WARNING: SOME OF THESE VIDEOS ARE BLOCKED, AND THUS THE LINKS WON'T WORK! I REPEAT! SOME LINKS WON'T WORK!

Part one of... THIRTEEN? God help me.

So it opens up with the Nicktoons logo... Which is weird because Pooh is owned by Disney and Scooby Doo is owned by Warner Brothers. What's weirder is that the video rewinds itself. Then an alien ship comes and tells us what is coming up (OOO?) while zapping an iceberg and making it look like the Nicktoons logo. And then the Flintstones go into the drive in. WHAT? First Nicktoons, now The Flintstones? What do they have to do with Pooh? This is before everything takes place mind you! Okay, so they go into the drive in, and they see the screen saying "Warner Brothers: Feature Presentation". I will be very surprised if the Youtube User actually put time and effort and manipulated the video into doing that. We are then bombarded by both the "TV-G" rating, and the Nicktoons Watermark, thus reinforcing the theory that the user has a slightly more advanced movie maker compared to Bowser.

Then we have the familiar NEW!Disney logo. Which leads into trouble. This is a Disney show, shown on Nickelodeon. That's like having a Mario game on an X-Box 360, or Master Chief on a Nintendo Wii, it's downright impossible unless the sound of gavels pounding on wood as the headlines read "Disney Sues Nickelodeon" is appealing. Then we have the Warner Brothers logo. Which is weird, because they shown their logo before when the Flintstones show up. Even weirder is that this is the second Pooh's Adventures episode I liveblogged and it also had the Disney and WB logo. Then we have the Hanna Barbera logo, then the PBS logo, you know, the one that says in the end, "This was made possible from viewers like you, thank you." Wait, how does PBS fit in... Unless... Bah, like that will ever happen.

So then, we have... some Deranged Animation. Some monster rips its chest open, revealing a heart, then a similar monster, this time a fish like thing, gets eaten by a bug-like monster of the same look. So our user goes by the production name of Kratt's Creatures Movies Inc., I don't think the Kratt Brothers even want to do with this movie. His user name is TtarkosaurusRex2. What the hell is a Ttarkosaurus Rex? Why does it have two t's in it? Is this the last of the logos? Are they gonna show the caterers next?

GAH! MORE DERANGED ANIMATION! This monster thing turns into an amoeba, then that same monster comes in a different form, the fish, slurps the amoeba. Then that monster sprouts wings, all the while having this weird digital voice... I found my new source of Nightmare Fuel. Then after a badly done MS Paint logo, we have the Pooh Title card, this time, it's a Space Alien adventure! Prepare to be disappointed people. Oh, and nice job hiding the ghost.

FINALLY, we have reached the intro. TWO MINUTES AND THIRTY-FIVE SECONDS IN! The previous movie I done didn't take that long! The intro though rewards me for having been put through the build up. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the song. However... Then we see our Villains for the show: Jafar and Maleficent. Assisting Pooh this time is some penguin. Because Everything Is Better With Penguins. And Arthur... Wait. Arthur? ARTHUR? WHAT? AND SIMBA? Uh... Okay...This might sound fun... certainly not a good roster compared to the previous movie, but you play what you are dealt. And yes, I did use the term roster. Depending on the user, Pooh will have different foes and allies. It sounds cool, but when you go from Mewtwo and Darth Vader (and many more characters) to Arthur, Simba, and some penguin I don't even know (I shall call him Penpen), you are left kind of empty.

Then we see some commercial of Scooby Doo on a pogo stick? Somehow I miss Bowser's straightforward "let's dive into the movie" thing. Ooh! Maybe the entire video is one entire TiVo recording! And that's why we see the commercials! We then see a video of some dog singing... Okay, are we really gonna be put through this? I want to see Pooh not doing anything! Wait... that sounds bad, but still. This is a TiVo recording, right? So we can just fast forward past all this crud. {hits the fast forward button}

Okay, so, finally, we arrive at the intro to our movie, as we see the impossible: Disney, Nick, and Hanna Barbera presenting the movie. We open to The Hundred Acre Woods where the gang is building a set. Wait... isn't this the episode where they perform that play about Piglett being the sheriff? The sad part? This is used for almost every episode of Pooh's Adventures. No freaking joke. And everyone says the same thing, even Piglett. Let us look at the dialogue:

Piglett: What is going on, Pooh?

Pooh: Don't worry, Piglett. You'll find out.

Imagine that happening almost every day. Piglett probably would have picked up by now what is going on enough not to ask such stupid question. So Christopher Robin comes out and introduces the play. Oh and you gotta love the poster he shows us. The original Poster with Green text on it. And apparently, Chris has written it Manga-style because he is reading it from right to left. This raises some questions about how Pooh and his friends participate in the play. First off, is the play how they go into these worlds, much like how the Hikari Studio teleports Tsukasa and his friends or like how a Gummi Ship is used for transport in Kingdom Hearts? Are they just fanfiction Christopher wrote out and had his toys act out? The latter sounds more true but creepier and may make less sense in the long run, so I shall opt for the former. Hell, where do Pooh's friends and enemies fit in? Are they just toys like them? Or are they the real thing? What happens if they don’t start with the play, much like with Pooh’s Adventures of Double Double Toil and Trouble? My brain go boom now.

Okay. The movie begins with the title card and its introductory credits, with additional stuff that stick out like a sore thumb. Especially the fact that most of the credits have And Ttark. Thankfully, one of the characters saves us from the badly done credits. Two other characters then join him. They had received a loud reading. Then an awkward shift of scenes later and we find our first set of protagonists, Pooh, and his friends. On some purple planet. And apparently, Pooh, Piglett, and Tigger are all purple for some reason, with Rabbit immune to the radiation (he’s slightly purple though). Yes, it would be easy just to say Ttark must have set the color to purple and everything that was not gray was turned purple, but we must use our imaginations here!

But who cares about Pooh and his friends? We now must focus on the second set of protagonists. The true protagonists. Scooby Doo and the Mystery Gang! Or not, as the video is over.

What weird things will await us? Find out next time!

I love and hate these things at the same time. Hate them because they're abominations, and love them because I actually do something similar, only with O Cs and legit interaction between characters. Imagine my surprise when I happened upon these things. At least they don't try to have a continuity like the Spongebob ones...

Oh trust me, All the Pooh's Adventures have some sort of continuity.

Just so you know, the "monster thing" is Ttark from Kratt's Creatures (GET IT?), and the penguin is Tennessee Tuxedo from the Underdog Show.
