Page Action: Real Life Section Maintenance 16

Go To

What would be the best way to fix the page?

At issue:

Deciding which pages should have their Real Life sections removed, and be listed on No Real Life Examples Please. Reasons to do so include contentiousness and high potential for flame wars.

Vote UP if you think the page's RL section should be cut.

Vote DOWN if you think the page should still be allowed RL examples.

Items with the trope name stricken (like so) have already been decided, with ten or more total votes, more than 48 hours on the crowner, and at least a 2:1 yes/no ratio. No further voting is needed on those items.

To check if something has already been voted on, please see Keep Real Life Examples.

Dirty Old Woman: We REALLY don't need to know. Also kind of flame bait material. [Added 10th Mar '14 at 06:28:18 PM]

Alcoholic Parent: The Alcoholic is already NRLEP, and like with that trope the wiki doesn't need the gossip. [Added 10th Mar '14 at 08:41:02 PM]

Demonic Spiders: This is a page about Video Game enemies, which (obviously) don't exist in real life, and is being misused, with the real life section merely being a list of dangerous things.
[Added 7th Mar '14 at 08:20:17 PM]

Goddamned Bats: Video Game and fictional trope, impossible in Real Life. Complaining, natter, thread mode, and shoehorning. [Added 10th Mar '14 at 05:57:41 PM]

Forced into Evil: Villain trope [Added 10th Mar '14 at 02:44:56 PM]

Timey-Wimey Ball: Impossible in real life. Shoehorned examples. [Added 11th Mar '14 at 07:59:37 PM]

Board to Death: Villain trope.
[Added 2nd Mar '14 at 06:12:06 AM]

World of Badass: Examples seem terribly shoehorned. It lists thing like samurai, a social class, Sparta, where the badasses were an elite class, and animals, which are a category of life-form. Also near-impossible in Real Life.
[Added 8th Mar '14 at 06:28:10 PM]

For the Evulz: Villain trope.
[Added 8th Mar '14 at 11:23:59 PM]

That One Player: Should only have In-Universe examples. "This game has some very skilled players" is too subjective. [Added 11th Mar '14 at 10:00:23 AM]

Alpha Bitch: The trope describes an inherently horrible person. It's also not nice to call real life people bitches any more than Jerkasses or villains. [Added 11th Mar '14 at 07:55:54 PM]

Jerk Jock: The trope describes an inherently horrible person. It's also not nice to call real life Jerkasses or villains. Related to Alpha Bitch. [Added 13th Mar '14 at 12:35:01 AM]

I Banged Your Mom: Sex trope, natter.
[Added 16th Mar '14 at 05:45:50 PM]

Dark Mistress: A villain trope.
[Added 17th Mar '14 at 10:57:17 AM]

I better make sure to do that if I call any more posts in the future.

Most Definitely Not a Villain: Is misused since the Real Life section mostly involves tourists. There is also a bit of Natter. [13th Mar '14 at 06:46:03 PM]
