The opposing camp cites this as why they're okay with the recasting, since it allows new blood to try their hand at the characters after an entire decade of mostly Cullen and Welker. Both sides have acknowledged that both Optimus and Megatron's new actors are clearly trying to emulate Cullen and Welker, with the more optimistic viewers suggesting that as time goes on, they can really grow into the roles just as Cullen and Welker before them.

* WinTheCrowd: For those skeptic of the show's LighterAndSofter tone affecting the artstyle (after ''Robots In Disguise (2015)'' was criticized for having too plain and repetitive character designs), a number were won over after the character designs were unveiled, the art having been influenced by ''Generation 1'' and ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''.
