* TaintedByThePreview: At first, all because it's a social RPG on iOS. But then it went FromBadToWorse once the gameplay was shown at TGS 2012... Frustratingly, [[http://www.themmnetwork.com/2012/11/29/rockman-xover-first-impressions-yeah-it-sucks/ it seems to be every bit as awful as the trailer suggested.]] Upon the game's actual release, it's been confirmed multiple times.

* AmericansHateTingle: In Japan, ''Xover'' hit #3 of iTunes' Top Free Apps and at least #63 of iTunes' Top Grossing Apps. Americans, who were still ''really sore'' about Capcom submarining various ''Mega Man'' projects back in 2011, unleashed gargantuan levels of vitriol against it, so much so that [[http://www.themmnetwork.com/blog/2013/01/29/due-to-popular-demand-capcom-usa-may-not-bring-rockman-xover-west Capcom decided not to release it in the Americas]].

** Over-1 himself. The game itself is widely despised, but the main character's design is often cited as the one redeeming quality of the game, to the point some wish he could show up in other games in the future.
