Not just once, but ''repeatedly'', going back and forth with one passenger at a time, until he'd lifted every last one of them to safety.

After years of abuse by his throng and discovering one Aurum member was a complete JerkAss, he decided that [[ThenLetMeBeEvil if everyone wanted him to be a creepy spy, then he might as well make a career out of it.]] He then started suborning his natural instincts to observe to become a blackmailer who seeks to force others to give him information on the New Dawn, when he's not prying into things [[ItAmusedMe for the pleasure of knowing them]]. On some level, Actaeon [[ObliviouslyEvil literally doesn't understand]] how much of a nightmare this makes him for other Prometheans, and if confronted with someone who was DrivenToSuicide by his pranks, [[HeelRealization it's explicit he'd be horrified into changing his behavior]].

** [[ManipulativeBastard Mortimer the Adversary]], a ''sublimatus'' who remembered his failed creation perfectly well...including a vision of the New Dawn he, as a Pandoran, can never have. Eventually, he grew so [[GreenEyedMonster envious]] of the Pilgrimage he declared himself a SatanicArchetype and now seeks to push as many Created off the path and into Centimanus as he can, so that ''someone'' understands how frustrated and lost he feels.

* UnfortunateImplications: ''TabletopGame/ChroniclesOfDarkness'' fans who happen to identify with various minorities, particularly sexual minorities, have commented that it's possible to read ''Promethean'' as bearing an underlying message of "the majority is right to hate and fear you for being different and you should change yourself to fit in if you want it to stop". 2nd edition arguably makes this reading more blatant, given how strongly it now mechanically enforces the need to follow the Pilgrimage. One particularly strident, self-professedly trans fan was ultimately banned from Onyx Path's forums soon after the release of 2e, due to their repeatedly breaking forum rules to make passionate protests about this perceived message and how they felt ''Promethean'' was wasted potential.

They must live in a state of constant agony, they cannot form any real relations with people or other Prometheans because they can render the land unliveable through their Wasteland, and their Disquiet invokes feelings of irrational paranoia in people anyway. Simply put, the odds of completing their pilgrimage are stacked against them to the point where not a single one in recorded history actually has. And even if one were to become human, it may not be able to survive the radiation it'll inevitably be immersed in. There's little wonder why most Zeka embrace [[OmnicidalManiac Centimani]].

** Special mention: An Osiran attained her humanity and was reborn while retaining her memories as a Promethean; her husband, whom she had met on the first day of her human life, dies in front of her eyes and she then uses her knowledge of the Prometheans to rebirth him.[[spoiler: Albeit he now exists without the memories of their love, the text indicates she's starting to act like a StalkerWithACrush and that he's not likely to regain his humanity any time soon.]]
