* BestLevelEver: The final level. [[spoiler: You get to infiltrate Forrest Blackwell's moonbase and then get not one but ''two'' boss fights against Rex Fury (the first time [[CoolVsAwesome in a suit of powered armor while Rex is riding a giant robotic T-rex]], the second while throwing mooks at him in the vacuum of space), and capping it off by skydiving to Earth ''through'' Blackwell's crashing rocket [[VisualEffectsOfAwesome as it falls to pieces around you]]]], with the [[CrowningMusicOfAwesome best track in the whole game]] playing through this final segment as the cherry on top.

** For a completely different variety of awesome, the music that plays on Hayes' Farm or whenever you're riding a pig is just about perfect, folksy, sweet, and oddly nostalgic all at once. And it's one heck of an EarWorm to boot.
** The beautiful Italian-sounding strings and piano piece that plays in Vinnie Pappalardo's ice cream parlor is pretty great, too, and is a perfect fit for an Italian gangster-movie pastiche.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: A lot of people love Vinnie Pappalardo thanks to his being one of the funniest characters in the game and a [[AffablyEvil genuinely nice guy]] with [[EvenEvilHasStandards no tolerance for Rex Fury.]]

* ThatOneSidequest: Some of the Time Trials and Vehicle Robber Arrests can get quite frustrating if one is not accustomed to how different vehicles handle. The Muncher Time Trial and Transter Robber Arrest in Fresco especially come to mind for the unlucky.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Sure, it's a kinda LighterAndSofter ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto'', but the humor is hard for kids to understand, you can steal cars, food, boats etc. Enemy [[spoiler:astronauts's jetpacks explode making them [[NightmareFuel return in pieces]]]]. Also many [[ShoutOut Shout Outs]] to adult movies. It's safe to say that this isn't a good game to build a child's morale, but to kids over 14 is it really awesome since they know the difference between right and wrong. And this is to say nothing of the fact that the player character is a police officer--not even an AntiHero type--who is allowed to cause all manner of collateral damage with no repercussions.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: This game is often treated as a SpiritualSuccessor to the ''VideoGame/LEGOIsland'' series. On top of that, it's a "cops & robbers" game.
