* GoodBadBugs: A coding oversight for the PC port resulted in the Red Brick Extras being automatically unlocked after collecting them, rather than needing to buy them like you're intended to. Not only does this render the Police Station's Red Brick store pointless, it eliminates the need to save up studs for the previously-exorbitantly-priced stud multipliers, heavily amplifying their GameBreaker nature.

General clarification on works content; I've seen more comparisons between GTA and LEGO CITY Undercover than comparisons between LA Noire and LEGO CITY Undercover.

* SpiritualAdaptation: While the stories are only similar on a superficial level at best (and even saying ''that'' much is more than a bit of a stretch), gameplay-wise this is essentially a LEGO-fied child-friendly version of Creator/RockstarGames' ''VideoGame/LANoire''.

Comparisons to another one of Creator/RockstarGames' popular series, ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto'' are also common.

** The ice Cream Truck Time Trial is among the more infuriating ones for one specific reason: the ramp jump in Paradise Sands onto the roof jutting out of the tunnel mountain, because jumping both onto and off of that roof has a frequent tendency to either launch you into the water or flip the truck upside down, helpless against the impending self-destruction and forcing a race restart.

** The Super Color Gun Red Brick, as it completely frees the player from having to seek out Color Changers, especially since there are objects that need to be painted without any hint as to what color they're supposed to be.

** For a completely different variety of awesome, the music that plays on Hayes' Farm or whenever you're riding a pig is just about perfect, folksy, sweet, and oddly nostalgic all at once. And it's one heck of an ear worm to boot.
** The beautiful Italian-sounding strings and piano piece that plays in Vinnie Pappalardo's ice cream parlor is pretty great, too, and is a perfect fit for an Italian gangster-movie pastiche.

* GameBreaker: The stud multiplier Red Bricks are easy to find and make the Lego City Hero ratings a matter of getting one purple stud. Thankfully, a lot of red bricks cannot be found until the endgame, or after the story is over.

** The cannon in King's Court. You'll be walking by minding your own business, and the damned thing will begin firing on you continuously, with cannonballs/[[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Bullet Bills]] that lock onto you no matter where you dodge!
** Speaking of sharks, there's what happens when Chase falls into water infested with sharks: one flipping leaps out of the water and devours him. It happens so quickly, it feels like it's coming out of bloody nowhere and you're only warning is that three note sting that sounds like it was right out of ''Jaws.''
** Once you get to Free Play mode after you finish the game, there’s no background music as you play. The silence can be eerie, and it gets even more eerie when the distant bells start ringing or when the ominous drums randomly start up at some points.
