1* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: ˛** ''[[ The loading screen music, of all things]]'' ˛** [[ The music that plays during the very final level.]] An orchestra and epic chorus are hardly what would be expected from a Lego game, but are perfectly fitting and awesome all the same. And what is the [[OminousChanting chorus chanting?]] [[TitleDrop "LEGO, LEGO, LEGO // CI- TY, CI- TY"]]˛** For a completely different variety of awesome, the music that plays on Hayes' Farm or whenever you're riding a pig is just about perfect, folksy, sweet, and oddly nostalgic all at once. And it's one heck of an EarWorm to boot.˛** The beautiful Italian-sounding strings and piano piece that plays in Vinnie Pappalardo's ice cream parlor is pretty great, too, and is a perfect fit for an Italian gangster-movie pastiche.˛** An of course, there’s ‘Walking on Sunshine’ which plays in the opening. Does it count if it’s a preexisting, though?˛* BestLevelEver: The final level. [[spoiler: You get to infiltrate Forrest Blackwell's moonbase and then get not one but ''two'' boss fights against Rex Fury (the first time [[CoolVsAwesome in a suit of powered armor while Rex is riding a giant robotic T-rex]], the second while throwing mooks at him in the vacuum of space), and capping it off by skydiving to Earth ''through'' Blackwell's crashing rocket [[SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome as it falls to pieces around you]]]], with the [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic best track in the whole game]] playing through this final segment as the cherry on top.˛* EnsembleDarkhorse: A lot of people love Vinnie Pappalardo thanks to his being one of the funniest characters in the game and a [[AffablyEvil genuinely nice guy]] with [[EvenEvilHasStandards no tolerance for Rex Fury.]]˛* GameBreaker: The stud multiplier Red Bricks are easy to find and make the Lego City Hero ratings a matter of getting one purple stud. Thankfully, a lot of red bricks cannot be found until the endgame, or after the story is over.˛** One of the last upgrades, [[spoiler:the jetpack]], makes it possible to skip large sections of the main world's free runs.˛* HilariousInHindsight:˛** "Blue" the fill-in for Red from Shawshank Redemption was asked if he was [[Creator/MorganFreeman "Free, man"]] To which "Blue" denies... [[WesternAnimation/TheLEGOMovie Morgan Freeman as a LEGO minifigure, eh?]]˛** The final boss is [[spoiler: fought in a rocketship with a yellow mech suit and defeated by knocking it out and using its tail to throw it around a-la-''VideoGame/SuperMario64'']]. [[VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay Sound familiar?]]˛* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler: Forest Blackwell deciding to launch his rocket, which would have certainly killed many people had Chase not put up a forcefield around the exhaust fumes.]]˛* NightmareFuel: [[spoiler:Forrest Blackwell's EvilLaugh during his video-screen meeting with Rex. It just keeps going on and on...]]˛** The cannon in King's Court. You'll be walking by minding your own business, and the damned thing will begin firing on you continuously, with cannonballs/missiles that lock onto you no matter where you dodge! And the cannonballs look like scary shark-heads or something!˛* SpiritualAdaptation: While the stories are only similar on a superficial level at best, gameplay-wise this is essentially a LEGO-fied child-friendly version of Rockstar's ''VideoGame/LANoire''.˛* ThatOneSidequest: Some of the Time Trials and Vehicle Robber Arrests can get quite frustrating if one is not accustomed to how different vehicles handle. The Muncher Time Trial and Transter Robber Arrest in Fresco especially come to mind for the unlucky.˛* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: This game is often treated as a SpiritualSuccessor to the ''VideoGame/LEGOIsland'' series. On top of that, it's a "cops & robbers" game. This was a perfect opportunity to include some classic ''LEGO Island'' characters, especially [[BlatantBurglar the Brickster]]... and they somehow missed it!˛* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: During the final level [[spoiler: the scenery that Chase passes while skydiving to earth]] is nothing short of mindblowing.˛----
