** Following the above rumor being dispelled, the inverse began to circulate in its place as a continued dig at the branch, that certain interactions with Holostars were being "forced" on Hololive or that management is conspiring to astroturf their presence. No sound evidence exists to support any of these claims, and attempts to spread them are frequently rebuffed as so.

* ShipsThatPassInTheNight: Due to the greater subject of Hololive/Holostar interactions being a known minefield of FlameBait, heterosexual shipping discussions are often booted to this by default, lest they get accused of being deliberately malicious. The loudest pairing of them, however, appears to be Zeta and Axel, which usually takes the form of interpreting their ''VideoGame/KeepTalkingAndNobodyExplodes'' collab (and their only collab thus far) as bickering LikeAnOldMarriedCouple. Other fuel for the ShippingGoggles includes how Axel is the only member in the entire company to receive a serious drawing from Zeta as a birthday gift (everyone else's drawing gifts were jokes of varying quality), and how the 2024 Super Expo promotional art frames them in a way that could be interpreted as them staring at each other.

*** Building more on the JP Idol culture's reaction to male/female interactions we can see this pretty heavily in the way the JP fans and talents treat Holostars compared to EN and ID. While Cover Corp has no restriction on male/female interaction, there is virtually no interaction between Hololive JP and Holostars outside of special events and when asked it's a nigh-universal hard "'''NO'''" on collabs, and the exceptions amongst the Hololive JP talents being the minority[[labelnote:The talents in question]]Sora, Fubuki, Matsuri, Roboco, Subaru, Suisei, Choco, Towa, Polka, Mel, La+, Akirose, and the [=ReGLOSS=] members[[/labelnote]]. EN fares somewhat better, with a higher proportion of talents interacting with the Stars, but still remaining a minority to those who do not (with some who won't so much as acknowledge them) -- a matter complicated by occasional {{Flame War}}s & related pushbacks from trolls and particularly rabid fans. The ID girls, by complete contrast with both, have all been frequently collaborating with the boys since the beginning of the branch with almost zero complaints. The very few times someone tries to make a stink out of it they are mercilessly mocked by both the talents and the fanbase. That said things are slowly changing with the JP branch, with more and more collabs happening everyday as hardcore idol culture is beginning to be looked down on as toxic, not to mention Stars themselves growing more and more popular.

*** Talking about a talent's past streamer personas and/or the voice actors is guaranteed to spark a debate wherever it happens, even for people who otherwise have no ill intent. The meme was originally associated with Touhou's Nazrin and simply crossed over to Bae. While Bae never directly acknowledged it, she was amused by a fan's username being "Chiz2meet U". Also, one of the entries that made it into Bae and Mumei's Letter to Santa rating stream had a "mating press" joke in it, albeit in a subtle way. There is also no evidence that anywhere close to the majority of the Hololive fandom dislikes the meme, and besides, every other Discredited Meme example here was explicitly condemned by the Hololive member the joke was about. You don't have to like this meme, but it does not belong here.

** There is a "Mating Press" meme surrounding Bae that arose from 4chan with an unclear basis. Bae does her best to not acknowledge it, and most of the audience gives the meme a frosty reception, if not outright backlash.
