* AwesomeMusic: The game's soundtrack was done by Creator/NobuoUematsu, so this is a given. Most the themes surrounding Nene in the first game are standout examples.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: After Jiro is reunited with his parents near the end of Disc 1, he notices their bandaged hands. His father tells the story of how they began to dig into the earth where he disappeared, fearing he'd been buried alive. When their tools broke, they resorted to digging with their bare hands. Jiro's moved to tears from this.

* MomentOfAwesome: Near the end of disc 2, Shu finally understands that being a LeeroyJenkins and saying, "I won't give up!" at everything won't solve his current problems and learns the importance of a ''tactical retreat''!

Pretty much everyone notes that the game pretty much compresses every JRPG cliche imaginable, but the fun, ''VideoGame/Persona2'' [[XMeetsY meets]] ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIII'' style gameplay easily makes up for it if you're not big on cliches.

* FridgeHorror: Okay, so there's a factory in Baroy Town, which creates Servant Mecha Robos. When the Servant Mecha Robos get summoned to capture the party (or rather, force them to lower the barrier, because Yasato would die if they didn't), they keep coming if Jiro doesn't lower the barrier (the other type of Mecha Robo stops trying to capture the party). How can Nene have that many Servant Mecha Robos...?
