*** FridgeBrilliance: Anakin has been living in a monastic order since age nine. One which makes a huge point about forbidding attachments. There's no way he was going to be a Casanova.

** Most of the scenes were probably supposed to be awkward b/c Anakin isn't supposed to be Casanova. Occasionally it works, like when Anakin says "You've grown more beautiful - for a senator I mean" and then visibly winces - one gets the idea he didn't want to sound too forward, so he tried to soften his comment, and then probably ended up saying "No no stupid stupid" to himself because of how it came out. The problem came when later he was still this awkward and yet she reacted like he was spouting eloquence that could put Romeo to shame.

Then comes the finale, and the movie reminds the viewers that they had been rooting for what will become The Empire by playing the Imperial March.

** Not to mention, why she seems to somehow forget what Anakin did to the Sand People, including killing their women and children, between him telling her this and when he murders the Jedi Younglings in ''Revenge of the Sith''. Though to be fair, a great deal of time passed between movies two and three, during which the Clone Wars raged. While it would seem hard to believe she completely forgot what happened, it can't be denied there was likely a lot on her mind prior to the attack on the Jedi Temple.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: A ''lot'' of the romance subplot actually begins to make sense if you interpret Anakin as (un)intentionally using the Force to manipulate her emotions, causing her to fall in love with him. This isn't actually too far out there because its not like we haven't seen Jedi casually MindRape people to get what they want.

**Though the EU (especially the comics) don't take it as far as MindRape, they clearly present Anakin's obsession with Padme as extremely unhealthy, possessive, and dysfunctional. What is unclear is whether or not Lucas intended to imply this interpretation, or whether he was generally trying to write them as a romantic couple and [[RelationshipWritingFumble that somehow fell through.]]

Separatist leaders are trying to assassinate Republic Senators and they are assembling a massive army with which they planned to blackmail the Republic. The rank-and-file Separatists are not necessarily bad, but their leadership is which is shown over the course of the movie (and seeing as how they\'re providing automated armies which they personally control, that\'s more reason to be paranoid).

** Why the Seperatist's leaving the Republic is a ''bad'' thing. They don't seem to be attacking anyone or doing anything sinister, they appear to just want to ''leave''. And if the supposed benevolent leaders of the Galaxy see this as grounds to create a Clone Army tasked with relentlessly slaughtering them, can you blame them?
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
That was explained. The alien PM mentions working with \"the finest shipbuilders in the galaxy.\"

** Probably the most blatant is that where the Republic got it's cannon fodder is the main thrust of the plot, but there's no explanation of where all the walkers, artillery, and massive space fleet came from.

** Considering the nature and purpose of the clone army, one could make a case for it being an IntendedAudienceReaction - a million-strong Temuera Morrison army is never going to ''not'' be UncannyValley, and considering the dubious origins of the army and their eventual hand in eliminating the Jedi, taking advantage of the UncannyValley to highlight that there's something off about all of this seems to be a feasible thing to do.
