* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: Almost everyone can agree that Oh!Great's artwork is one of, if not ''the'' biggest selling point of the manga.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The anime's soundtrack. What would you expect from [[VideoGame/JetSetRadio Hideki]] [[VideoGame/SonicRush Naganuma?]]

* BetterOnDVD: The series has less censoring on DVD than it did when it aired on TV. It also reads easier in tankōbon format than it does one chapter a week.

* ClicheStorm: A common criticism levied at the series. In it's defense, while the main conflict of the series and the driving motivations of most of the characters ''are'' a bit cliche, Oh!Great likes to expand on many of these clichés and explore them (though not necessarily subverting or deconstructing them). This somewhat helped to develop the main cast, many of whom began as typically clichéd shonen characters, before being revealed to have HiddenDepths.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The anime's soundtrack. What would you expect from [[VideoGame/JetSetRadio Hideki]] [[VideoGame/SonicRushSeries Naganuma?]]

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Many people felt that relegating Emily to being Omaha's body was a waste of a character that was just getting interesting.
* WhatAnIdiot: Kazu says it's a good idea to build a forward base to defend Kogasumaru's territory... right on top of train tracks. ''Which are being used.''

* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler:[[BigBad Sora Takeuchi]] emotionally abused his brother Nike and his girlfriend Rika, the two people who loved him and trusted him most. He even {{brainwashed|AndCrazy}} the latter, and when the two of them stopped being useful to him, he [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness threw them aside like trash]]. While he does have a slightly sympathetic past that paints him as a failure, this justification rings hollow when it's shown that he's orders of magnitude more powerful than every single rider except Ikki. Furthermore, he remorselessly killed several friends who were once in the same situation as him and who even helped him, all in the name of [[ItsAllAboutMe gaining personal power]]. He is either directly or indirectly responsible for all of the deaths in the series and he doesn't even think highly enough of the lives he's taken to feel something like satisfaction, let alone remorse or regret. After he is defeated, he spits in the face of redemption and tries to turn his girlfriend into a bomb so that [[SoreLoser he could kill everyone in the tower in which he was fighting so that even if he were to lose, his opponents wouldn't win]]. He only gave up afterwards when faced with overwhelming power that convinced him he would never be able to succeed. Even [[AxCrazy Nike]] looks tame and compassionate in comparison.]]

* CrossesTheLineTwice: An old lady [[http://www.mangareader.net/137-7701-10/air-gear/chapter-196.html choking Ikki with sagging prehensile breasts]] should be disgusting but ends up as hilarious.

** Is Nike a lost, lonely man who started fighting and killing because he was forced to have nothing else in his life and is now a broken shell of a person [[TragicMonster who sees what he was deprived of but feels he can no longer embrace it]], or did he [[KarmaHoudini get off lightly]] thanks to the sympathies of other characters and the presence of a sad backstory that he personally doesn't care about?

* CrossesTheLineTwice: A good deal of the humor. See CovertPervert.
** An old lady [[http://www.mangareader.net/137-7701-10/air-gear/chapter-196.html choking Ikki with sagging prehensile breasts]] should be disgusting but ends up as hilarious.

* GuiltyPleasure: The manga itself. Many an anime forum poster has gone on at length about how stereotypical and contrived the series is, while still wholeheartedly enjoying it for just how fun it is to read. The SugarWiki/AwesomeArt doesn't hurt either.

* IronWoobie: Kilik
* JerkassWoobie: Kilik again. Given how his ideals were betrayed by all of his friends, it's easy to see how he became such a prick.
* {{Narm}}: Everything that Inuyama says in the anime is [[ChewingTheScenery so over the top and hammy]] that you'll find it difficult to take him seriously.
** NarmCharm: However, this just makes him more entertaining, and it's likely done on purpose.
** The fact that all the character deaths and tragedy in this series resulted from rollerblades can be considered Narm or NarmCharm.

* {{Squick}}: Almost everything that Onigiri says or does. Arthur and Shallot get their fair share as well.
** Mari fantasizing about being raped by her [[{{Ephebophilia}} underage male students]], and not-so-subtly getting off to it. This can be partially offensive in light of the #metoo movement where woman often have their rape accusations doubted and ignored.
** That fact that Simca has no problem flirting with and seducing Ikki who's a middle schooler while she's a grown adult. If the genders were reversed, her character would likely be a lot more controversial.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Many people felt that relegating Emily to being Omaha's body was a waste of a character that was just getting interesting. This trope can be applied to about half the cast of characters due to the lack of character development from the side characters.

* MST3KMantra: While the story does try to make ''some'' kind of sense, the powers that are on display are based on pseudophysics at best, and if you try to apply real-world logic to any of them, your brain will melt. And that's before [[SerialEscalation they start piling on things]] like a HumongousMecha. Your best viewing experience will probably come if you just sit back and don't think about it.

* CrazyAwesome: Lind, and maybe Kaito.

* IKnewIt: Here's a shipping example: [[spoiler: A small number of fans pointed out that there have always been hints that Ikki and Ringo would end up together even in the face of most fans (even [=IkkixRingo=] and [=IkkixSimca=] shippers) figuring that Kururu was the most likely of the three love interests to win. These shippers brought up a number of scenes that show just how close the bond between Ikki and Ringo is. Come Chapter 329, a good number of those scenes are actually shown in passing, meaning Oh! Great was building up their relationship from the start and that these fans were right.]]

** The fact that all the character deaths and tragedy in this series resulted from rollerblades can be considered Narm or NarmCharm

* UnfortunateImplications: All of the LGBT characters are either villainous or barely developed. Akito gets less screentime as the series progress, and Aeon tries to rape a sleeping Ikki at one point. The latter plot point was played for comedy and never even mentioned again. Played [[IncrediblyLamePun straight]] again by Sharlott and Arthur, two henchmen who work for the final villain; however, this is ''somewhat'' mitigated by their [[AntiVillain characterization]], and the fact that they are shown to be in a loving relationship.
** During the battle with Sleipnir, Ikki refers to Buccha as a black pig in a moment of anger. That line can only be considered offensively ignorant at best.
** Simca's flirtation with a minor being portrayed as sexy and comical. Hard to say the narrative would treat her character the same if she was a man.
