Compare to Disney's WesternAnimation/TheWuzzles, another short-lived animated series about MixAndMatchCritters. And no this is not an AnimatedAdaptation of the sci-fi horror film Film/Splice, even if they do both feature mutant genetically-spliced hybrids.

Once upon a time, there lived a MadScientist who spent his weary days on a secluded island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. To occupy his time, he created mutants, MixAndMatchCritters, and other biological abominations that stood against all notions of sanity and common sense. But it was only a matter of time until the judicial system caught whiff of the whole situation and arrested him for his crimes against nature and "good taste". With their master forever gone from their lives, the mutants, with only limited knowledge of the outside world and their customs, are left to construct a civilization of their own. Of course, HilarityEnsues.

Spliced is a crazy Canadian animated television series from Creator/Nelvana that was created by cartoon writers and WesternAnimation/Grossology developers Simon Racioppa and Richard Elliott for Creator/Teletoon. Inspired by Creator/HGWells' Literature/TheIslandOfDoctorMoreau and the Zany Cartoons of decades past, the series stars a dimwit duo consisting of the naïve optimist Peri and the selfish gourmand Entree, whose shared misadventures around the setting of Keepaway Island result in all manner of insane occurrences from bowling pin aliens and possessed golf carts to mayonnaise monsters and brain-sucking squids. Starring alongside the pair is an equally bizarre ensemble of characters, including ill-tempered half-rhino mayor Two Legs Joe; Patricia the Only Sane Platypus; ineffectual evil genius chimp-dolphin Mister Smarty Smarts (and his henchwoman Octocat); the cute but long-suffering Fuzzy Snuggums; and Princess Pony Apehands, a hulking brute with the mindset of a little girl.

The series

ran on Creator/Qubo and on the Creator/CartoonNetwork website in the United States, Creator/DisneyXD in Mexico, Brazil & Spain, Creator/Nickelodeon in Sweden and Norway, Creator/ABC3 in Australia, Creator/Nicktoons in UK & Ireland, and Teletoon in its native Canada. However, it was canceled after a single season of 26 episodes, despite getting some very good ratings in its home country.

Spliced is a quirky Canadian animated television series created by cartoon writers and WesternAnimation/Grossology developers Simon Racioppa and Richard Elliott for Creator/Nelvana and Creator/Teletoon in 2010. Inspired by Creator/HGWells' Literature/TheIslandOfDoctorMoreau and the Zany Cartoons of decades past, the series stars a dimwit duo consisting of the naive naïve optimist Peri and the selfish gourmand Entree, whose shared misadventures around the setting of Keepaway Island result in all manner of insane occurrences from bowling pin aliens and possessed golf carts to mayonnaise monsters and brain-sucking squids. Starring alongside the pair are is an equally bizarre ensemble of characters, including ill-tempered half-rhino mayor Two Legs Joe; Patricia the Only Sane Platypus; ineffectual evil genius chimp-dolphin Mister Smarty Smarts (and his henchwoman Octocat); the cute but long-suffering Fuzzy Snuggums; and Princess Pony Apehands, a hulking brute with the mind mindset of a little girl.

** In "Stupid Means Never Having to Say I'm Sorry", Peri, in a delusional state while being stranded on a marooned island, befriends a tire who both do quite a questionable act at 6:47:
-->Peri: I keep telling you Retread! I lead, you FOLLOW!
** There's also the title of the episode "Living Hellp". Yes, it was spelt with two l's and everything.
** The title of the episode "Mole-sters in the Mist". No joke. That's the title. Try reading the title without the hyphen.
** In the episode "The Count of Pinchy Craboo", Peri and Entree try to get away from a wunny sharbit, and Entree ends up throwing stuff at it in order to hold it off. After Peri asks Entree if he can do anything else to stop it, he replies with "I don't know, I'm all out of crap!"
