* AmbiguousEnding: The ending is mostly straight forward, but it's never addressed if Lali and Jane still live together, stayed friends, or even stayed in touch. They're never seen together after Lalia meets up with Clyde Ryde at the festival.

* BalloonBelly: The entire point of the series.
** Jane falls victim as well during Thanksgiving and later while studying at an ice cream bar.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Jane goes ballistic when she sees the mess Lalia has made trying to eat one hundred boxes of cereal, and proceeds to angrily stuff the last few down her gullet. Not that Lalia minds.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Clyde Ryde, a popular vlogger who interviews Lalia on her rise to fame on social media. He acts very supportive, even sponsoring her to visit a food festival, but it's clear he's only using her for views and doesn't care much about her at all. The moment he's done livestreaming, he ditches her to schmooze with some more conventionally attractive girls.
* BloodierAndGorier: ''Technically.'' In one page of the ANC revival, Jane gets a blood nose after Lalia accidentally falls on her.

** She also unknowingly eats her dates' wallets when they angrily try to forc-feed her.

* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Though she does flaunt her curves, Lalia probably doesn't realise how attractive [[InUniverse some]] find her engorged stomach.

Lalia also finally realizes how her indulgence has hurt her friends and starts changing her ways to being a much more reasonable glutton.]]

''Craving Control'' is/was a webcomic published on Drunk Duck.com in 2007. It followed a beautiful young freshman named Lalia, as she attempts to survive college with her roommate Jane. The twist was that Lalia had a [[BigEater massive appetite]], often with the [[BalloonBelly gut to show it]], which is the [[FetishFuel entire point of the series]].

* {{Jerkass]]: The clothing store clerk who, ahem "helps" Lalia find some fitting clothes after she finally manages to gain weight.
* LostEpisode: Most, if not the entire series can still be found online with a quick search, save for the final page of the original run, and the first and only page of ''Early Warning Signs.'' Fans likely overlooked them for two reasons; the former did not feature Lalia, and neither featured any belly stuffing.

* {{Prequel}}: The ''Early Warnin Signs'' series was intended as this, but only received a single strip before being quietly cancelled.

Despite being relatively short and prone to extreme cases of ScheduleSlip, it managed to acquire a decent-sized fanbase. After spending time as an OrphanedSeries, it returned on the author's Website/{{deviantArt}} account, though now trimmed the supporting cast out and focused exclusively on Lalia and her increasingly over the top binges; what the creator and his fanbase considered the ''fun'' stuff.
Unfortunately, despite it's fanbase the series was again orphaned and later taken down due to personal reasons.

In August 2016, Arthur briefly returned to [=deviantArt=] to upload three new pages as a special one-off treat for fans, inserting new scenes into the ''Coming Apart At The Seams'' story line. This would in turn inspire a faithful continuation along the same lines by prominent fetish artist Adjective Noun Combo. Quickly grabbing Arthur's attention, he stepped in to offer his blessing and input on future instalments, effectively reviving the comic once more.

** This finally gets a nod in the ANC revival, where Jane and Trevor are briefly seen on a date.
** Arthur drew a single page for a prequel series that would have followed a teenage Lalia developing into the familiar gluttonous bombshell. Unfortunately, there was controversy in regards to her age, and the story was abandoned. It's possible Lalia's mother would have reappeared during this.

* AdaptationExpansion: Of an unusual sort. ''Coming Apart At The Seams'' was originally just a collection of Lalia's gluttonous antics that culminated in her winning her cruise ticket. Much, [[SequelGap much]] later, new pages were drawn to be inserted in between them, turning it into a flowing story.
** Almost comically, once Arthur and ANC started collaborating, further pages were added, expanding the story a second time.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Trevor is head over heels for Lalia, while Lalia never acknowledges his existence.

* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Everyone but Lalia and Jane disappeared after the initial run on Drunk Duck. [[SubvertedTrope The ANC revival seems intent on bringing some of them back.]]
* ClipShow: Done hilariously in a single strip when Lalia is completely dumbfounded by her slight weight gain.
