Making adjustments and nowhere does it say that Dark Mind fused with Shadow Dedede at all. Not in-game, not even in obscure Japanese interviews or magazine publications.

The story progression is expanded from the original: whereas the original game has 5 worlds (and 1 unlockable world) with one boss each, now each world hosts up to 8 bosses, the tougher of which you have to unlock by spending Gem Apples and/or beating the harder "Ordeal" bosses; doing the latter also unlocks new worlds and fights, and lets you purchase better gear.

A UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch version of the game titled ''VideoGame/SuperKirbyClash'' was released on September 4, 2019, considered the "definitive" version of ''Team Kirby Clash Deluxe''. ''Super'' introduces an overhauled Story Mode that puts the parallel counterpart of Kirby's original foe Nightmare in the spotlight, and adds a slew of new Quests, new bosses to challenge, new equipment, and new music. In addition, ''Super'' adds a Party Quest mode where players can challenge specialized Quests that can be played solo or with up to three friends in local and online multiplayer modes.

* AllegedlyFreeGame: ''Team Kirby Clash Deluxe'' is free to download, but if you need a lot of Gem Apples quickly, you're gonna need some real money. (If you want to still play for free, you'll have to collect apples twice a day every day for just short of two years and ten months).

* FreemiumTimer: The game has a "Vigor" meter that will get used when the player goes into quest battles, with each quest requiring a certain amount of Vigor to be initiated or reset. If it's depleted, you'll have to either wait for the meter to replenish itself by waiting a few minutes, or eat some Gem Apples proportional to how much Vigor you need to begin the quest. Gem Apples, as you might expect, are purchasable using real money. The various Codices of Vigor, purchasable in the Shoppe, reduce the time it takes to regain one point of Vigor; the first cuts it down to five minutes, the second to four, the third to three, and the final to just one.

* AbsurdlyHighLevelCap: Surprisingly averted in ''Super''. The max level is 100, but given how [[NintendoHard utterly nuts]] the hardest Quests get, you will need all the help you can get.

** ''Super'' cranks Heroic Quests UpToEleven: there are now '''900''' of them, and they're now associated with a mechanic called Heroic Rank, which raises your LevelCap when you clear enough Heroic Quests.

* AutobotsRockOut: [[spoiler:It's pretty much standard for any Galacta Knight appearance. Aeon Hero (Light/Dark) [[UpToEleven cranks it up a notch]]: Can you say "Galacta Knight but with '''[[OrchestralBombing symphonic metal?]]'''"]]

* BattleAura: SDX equipment in ''Super'' is enveloped in a faint aura of light that bears semblance to flame.
* BeamSpam: A number of Parallel Nightmare's attacks are just about firing as many explosive stars as he possibly can, with one attack in particular being a massive flood of stars from the background that strike the foreground at seemingly random, exploding all over the place.

** In ''Super'', Dark Taranza's role is taken over by Parallel Nightmare.

** ''Super'' adds the Rarity 15 Starlight equipment, even more elaborate versions of the Platinum series equipment that have gold-colored headgear and equally-colorful weapons.

* BonusBoss: Following the defeat of the main story, you unlock a number of new bosses in party mode to face off against at a considerably higher difficulty. The final battle of the story mode ends at level 65, however the highest level of these fights are 85-90. The final boss of the story mode is a "Super" mission, but these new ones are "Super+".

** Nightmare makes his return in ''Super'' in his first prominent role in a ''Kirby'' game since ''[[VideoGame/KirbysAdventure Nightmare in Dreamland]]'', which itself was a remake of the NES game ''VideoGame/KirbysAdventure'', meaning he hasn't been in a new role since 1993.

* DemotedToExtra: In ''Super'', Taranza is kicked out of the BigBad role in favor of Parallel Nightmare. Team Kirby deals with him as soon as their first encounter and he joins the heroes afterward.

** [[spoiler:In ''Super'', defeating King D-Mind causes the credits to roll. However, Parallel Nightmare is still on the loose, so Team Kirby jumps right back into the action. * DoomyDoomsOfDoom: The naming convention for the Rarity 14 Sword Hero gear, based on [[spoiler:Morpho Knight]]. The description for the headpiece even describes said character as "the knight of doom".

** The Rarity 14 Flask casually spoils the [[spoiler:Dimension Mirror's role in Sectonia's demise]].

** The fights against Nightmare in Super definitely qualify, given said villain hasn't been seen in quite some time, and the vast majority of his attacks have been overhauled with some new versions, and a number of attacks added.
** There's also [[spoiler:Galacta Knight, who got some new iterations of his attacks, and reappears after having gotten his fight stolen by Morpho Knight in ''VideoGame/KirbyStarAllies'']].
** The fight against Taranza is a version wherein the fight in Super has no plot reason to exist other than mistaken identity on Team Kirby's part, but allows for a new fight against Taranza to happen, and later iterations with a couple new attack designs.

** Super changes this slightly. Purchasing 5000 of them levels the tree up to the point where it throws 2000 at you. The game will actually still allow you to buy more Gem Apples, but it always warns you every time you go to use the shop that doing so will not level the tree up any further. As such you still ''can'', but the game tries to convince you to just wait out the 12 hour respawn.

* NintendoHard: ''Super Kirby Clash'' has some outrageously brutal boss fights towards the Story Mode endgame, necessitating ForcedLevelGrinding or [[BribingYourWayToVictory buying Gem Apples to get the best gear for your team]] to stand a chance, much less get Platinum Rank.
** The Super+ boss fights take this far harder in the post game, where even being at the same level as the boss can result in you taking 1/4 health damage from a single hit while wearing the best possible gear.

** Roughly half of the new equipment added in ''Super'' is variations of previously-existing gear with modified stats, including a blue version of the fish hat for Sword Hero and a "princess"-themed version of the MagicalGirl equipment for Beam Mage.
* PalmtreePanic: The Seaside in ''Super'', replacing Grasslands from the original game.

* PoisonousPerson: ''Super''[='s=] Venom Kracko, a purple cloud with a reptilian eye. In addition to sharing most of his moveset with Kracko, he can spread poison clouds with various attacks that inflict heavy damage to Kirby.
* PostEndGameContent: After you clear all of the Story Quests in ''Super'', you unlock a batch of new content on the Party Quest side, all of which are ranked "Super" difficulty. Clearing this content ultimately unlocks "Super+" Party Quests, including the hardest fights in the game and the TrueFinalBoss.

* RecurringBoss: [[spoiler:Nightmare is fought no less than three times in ''Super''. While his initial early-game encounter is a straight port of his ''Adventure'' fight with minor enhancements, later fights drastically mix up his moveset with several new attacks.]]

** In the Port Village in ''Super'', Taranza sits on Magolor's shoppe. Meta Knight is flying around in the background, occasionally landing near the water, Kine and Rick are hanging out on benches on the opposite sides of the screen, Coo will fly back and forth, and Francisca and Flamberge are hanging out near the water while talking.
** In the Castle Village in ''Super'' Hyness will fly along the background, Gooey rolls around behind the quest sign near a Parasol Waddle Dee, Parallel Susie is relaxing on Magolor's Shoppe, Zan Partizanne is relaxing by herself on a bench near the right edge of the screen, and Adeleine and Ribbon are near the left edge of the screen with Ribbon floating above Adeleine who is hard at work on a painting.

* SceneryPorn: Thanks to the move to the ''Star Allies'' engine, the game's original graphics were remastered for ''Super'', resulting in some gorgeous battle environments.

** Not only does this apply to ''Super'', [[spoiler: but rather than a palette swap, Parallel Nightmare ends up taking visible damage after the second battle with him, chipping a horn off, cracking his pauldrons and exposing one of his eyes through his visor.]]

* SocializationBonus: In ''Super'', playing online costs less Party Vigor and awards 30% more EXP by default.

** The "DX" in DX upgrades stands for "Deluxe". The third level upgrade added in ''Super'' tacks on an "S" to it, meaning "Super", thus making it [[VideoGame/KirbySuperStar "Super Deluxe"]].

** Nightmare in ''Super'' now has EvilLaugh voice clips similar to [=3DS=] ''Kirby'' villains like Sectonia and Haltmann. Amazingly, this is a RoleReprisal - his voice actor from ''Anime/KirbyOfTheStars'', Creator/BanjoGinga, provides these clips.
* SummonBiggerFish: Parallel Nightmare does this twice in ''Super''. [[spoiler:Both times he gets his ass kicked [[HoistByHisOwnPetard by the thing he summoned]] as a result.]]

* MoneyForNothing: Based on how you play the game, one of two things can happen.
** If you never spend any money, equipment progression slows down significantly at endgame due to the rising Gem Apple cost of equipment. As a result, you will find yourself hoarding a ridiculous number of each Fragment with nothing to spend them on because you're waiting to get more Gem Apples to use them.
** On the other hand, maxing out the Gem Apple Tree produces the reverse effect, where the game constantly supplies you with a vast hoard of Gem Apples that you will eventually have too many of once you finish gearing your party and buying the Codexes.

The Gem Apple Tree is a subtle reference to the saying "money doesn't grow on trees". The irony being that the Gem Apples are the game's currency.
** The "DX" in DX upgrades stands for "Deluxe". The third level upgrade added in ''Super'' tacks on an "S" to it, meaning "Super", thus making it [[VideoGame/KirbySuperStar "Super Deluxe"]].
