* ArtificialStupidity: In Go Fish, Mario may repeatedly ask for the same card two times in a row that you don't have.

* EveryoneRating: The game is rated K-A. Although the cover itself recommends "Ages 6-101".

Notable for being the first video game to feature Creator/CharlesMartinet as Mario (though he had originated the voice in other mediums prior to the release of this game, such as various video game trade shows and the Pinball/SuperMarioBrosMushroomWorld pinball table).

* ContinuityNod: The suit Mario wears on the title screen is reminiscent of the suit he wears on the box art for VideoGame/SuperMarioAllstars, minus the top hat.

* Malaproper: At least being voiced by Charles Martinet, Mario (aside from the thick Italian accent) says phrases in this game like: "Great! I'm a liker [name of the game you choose]" There actually is no "of" in this sentence, "Excellent selection! I'm a always-liker [name of game]" (Mac version only) Again, no "of," plus he actually does say he's "a always-liker" instead of "an always-liker.", "You must've make a jump'm now." "Pizza the heck out of me!"When doing a sardonic knock-knock joke while when the player is stalling., "Jamaica the who?" another sardonic knock-knock joke ("Jamaica me cuckoo crazy!"), "I'm-a go first.""I go first" with a combination of his accent and fractured grammar, "I'm-a know!""I know" with another accent-grammar issue combination, "I'm-a lost.""I lost" with another accent-grammar issue combination, "Pirhana Plantae", "Ah...I'm-a guess I'm-a go fishing.", and "Doubles! You get-eh fourth moves!"

* WritingAroundTrademarks: Yacht is obviously Yahtzee, just renamed because it's the only game included to be trademarked.
** Mario even calls the game "Yacht-ee" hiding the trademark violation behind Charles Martinet's faux Italian accent.
