* PocketRocketLauncher: The AR-7 is a rifle-sized mini-rocket launcher that shoots out a three-missile burst in a fan pattern that will cause lots of collateral damage, every time the Silencer fires. [[AllThereInTheManual The game's manual provides details]] like the fact that it's an experimental weapon, that the mini-missiles won't arm until they have flown 50 feet away from the rifle, and also renames the gun as the "SW-404 "Spitfire" Anti-Personnel Multiple Rocket Launcher".

* NintendoHard: This game really wants you dead. Even on the easier difficulty levels, you'll still routinely encounter enemies armed with weapons then can kill you in just a few hits, in addition to the many traps and platform jumps that can send you plummeting to an early grave. Things really get brutal on "loose cannon" difficulty (the second highest), because a single rocket will kill you with one hit, even with full health and shield bars. Have fun dealing the hundreds of servomechs, turrets, wall-mounted defenses, and regular enemies armed with rockets.

* ButThouMust: Don't feeling like murdering the unarmed doctor Hoffman in cold blood? * EarlyGameHell: No Remorse's first few missions can actually be quite brutal, especially on higher difficulty levels. Your starting shield is very weak, and the starting battery barely has enough power to keep it operational. Once your shield is down, enemies can blast through your lifebar with ease. Meanwhile, your starting arsenal is woefully underpowered for taking on mechanical units such as servomechs. By the start of mission 5, better battery and shield upgrades are available. Also, the appearance of enemy special forces soldiers ironically makes the game somewhat easier since you can loot their corpses for previously hard-to-find energy cubes to keep your battery powered up. Greater availability of ammunition for the GL1 and newer weapons also makes dealing with servomechs a lot easier.

* ArtificialStupidity: Enemy AI is about as basic as it gets for a 90s game. Upon sighting your character, they will just stand in one spot and shoot at you until you die or move out of their vision. They are completely oblivious to friendly fire, resulting in them routinely mowing down luckless civilians and even each other, and they also ignore environmental hazards, which will sometimes result in them dying by walking right into open flames or electrical grids.
