* AscendedMeme: If the player tries to talk to Garrus when he has nothing to say in ''VideoGame/MassEffect2'', he’ll ask Shepard to come back later as he’s in the middle of some calibrations; as a result of Garrus having the fewest optional squadmate conversations, players heard this a lot. On top of the numerous jokes about Garrus’ fondness for calibrations in ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'', the [[UpdatedRerelease Legendary Edition]] renamed the display options as Calibration across the trilogy.

Removed YMMV elements from the page. Ascended Fanon is when an element that is fanon is canonized in a work, and JUST that element. Princess Bubblegum and Marceline having dated is ascended fanon, not having a brother-sister team in the next game in the series because some fanfics had it.

* AscendedFanon: It was a common enough trope in ''Mass Effect'' FanFic to have ''both'' John and Jane Shepherd as protagonists, usually depicted as a BrotherSisterTeam. What's ''VideoGame/MassEffectAndromeda'' got on the character creation screen? Yup. Ryder has an opposite-sex twin that you customize in the same way.

* BeamMeUpScotty: Shepard's flirting can be cringeworthy, but s/he never says "We'll bang, okay?" in-game. That quote originated from a Youtube Poop that mashed together several Shepard lines out of context.

What? I've been in the Kot OR fandom for ages and I've never heard of that or read any fanfiction with both as the main center. Female Revan's fans are more of a loud minority than anything, just like how it was revealed that most people actually played as male Shepard.
