* CrossRegionalVoiceActing: Since most of the English version voice cast is Vancouver based, the game has had a few Los Angeles based voice actors come in, the ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' event has Creator/YuriLowenthal voice Marth, Creator/WendeeLee voice Veronica, Creator/RayChase voice Alfonse, Creator/MatthewMercer voice Chrom, and Creator/MelaLee voice Tiki

* TalkingToHimself: Often times when two characters who share the same voice actor share a scene and converse with each other, mostly in the Japanese vocals like when Creator/AyaEndo voices Brunhilda/Mym and Myriam.

* IKnewIt:
** Ever since Lily was released, fans of other Creator/{{Cygames}} titles were expecting more playable characters to be imported from ''VideoGame/RageOfBahamut'' and/or ''VideoGame/GranblueFantasy''. When a Dragon version of Cerberus came in ''Dragalia'', many have thought that the Wyrmprints having ''Rage of Bahamut'' characters serve as the [[{{Foreshadowing}} clue]] (Cerberus appeared in Fireside Gathering), with Forte and Albert being the next possible choices due to having cameos in the Lord of the Skies and Levin's Champion Wyrmprints respectively. Indeed, Albert finally became playable in 2019; and Forte herself became playable in 2020 (alongside Yurius, who is an UnexpectedCharacter to be ''playable'' since Yurius is often portrayed as a former friend of Albert that has become evil).
** People also figured one of these days there was going to be a crossover between this game and ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes.'' Now they finally get that chance in the "Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes" event.
** Fans of ''Granblue Fantasy'' expected that Cygames would implement the "Suprise Ticket" system into ''Dragalia Lost'' - a paid item that gives one Tenfold Summon plus the ability to freely obtain one unit of the player's choice. As of March 26, 2019 it is indeed announced that this game will have a counterpart of it, named "Dream Summon Special".
** Fans knew that one of these days, Mym would be made a playable unit. They were right, as she's the May 2019 Gala unit.
** People had also guessed that, whether a Gala Adventurer or not, Ramona would be made playable. She and her sisters are the featured stars of the Flames of Reflection Event.
** It was always figured one of these days, either on an anniversary event or Gala, Zethia would become playable. By Chapter 14, ''a'' version of her was made playable with her future version, now named Zena. She would get a Gala version a few months later. Then the actual Zethia made her playable debut in the Septemeber 2021 Gala Dragalia, alongside Bahamut.
** People have thought that Laxi would get a Gala form at one time or another. This was confirmed with the announcement of the July 2020 Gala Dragalia, which introduced Gala Laxi.
** People guessed that a variant of [[VideoGame/GranblueFantasy Sparking]] would be available at some point in time. This was eventually added in the 2.0.0 update, in the form of the Wyrmsigil/Wyrmsigil Remnant system.
** Fans knew that one day, any one of Euden's siblings will be playable, whether through the main campaign or as Gala units. They were proven correct when Chelle became playable after clearing Chapter 16. A Gala version of Leonidas would later be playable in the November 2020 Gala Dragalia.
** Regarding "The Phantom's Ransom" facility event, many people guessed that Lapis and Bella were the same person before the end of said event's story was released. On release of the ending, their guess is confirmed to be the case.
** Ever since "Forgotten Truths" showed Meene being an adult fairy, players were expecting that Notte was going to have a human-sized form in Chapter 18. She not only had one, but TWO!
** Speaking of Notte. Many fans guessed correctly that she will be the March 2021 Gala Dragalia.
** When Notte was shown wielding her dagger in the artwork for the ''VideoGame/Persona5Strikers'' crossover event, people have guessed that she would wield that same dagger when she becomes playable. Her Gala version has that same dagger, albeit with a golden-colored blade.
** Many fans knew that Mascula will be playable one day. They were proven correct when he's the May 2021 Gala Dragalia.
** Many fans knew Gatov would be playable one day. They were correct when he's the November 2021 Gala Adventurer.
** Fans also guessed that Emile would be the January 2022 Gala Adventurer because of his prominence in the second half of Chapter 23. They were proven correct.
** Some fans feared the worst when the last few crossovers were with other Cygames properties, thinking that the game wasn't making enough to license another property like ''Franchise/MegaMan'' or ''VideoGame/Persona5Strikers''. That feeling really started to amp up in early 2022 when all the previous Facility, Onslaught, and Defense Battle quests were hastily shoved into the Compendium, as well as Valyx and Phares, who would normally be Gala units with revamped designs, were put in the general summoning pool in their standard gear. More fears rose when February went with the only new content being Chapter 24 Part 1 and Shiela being dropped in the main summoning pool. Sure enough, in March 2022 the game was announced to be winding down and wouldn't last the end of the year.

** While there are characters in ''Dragalia Lost'' who have been imported from ''Rage of Bahamut'' or ''Granblue Fantasy'' sharing the same name and design like Lily, Leviathan and Cerberus, it is not uncommon to come across Adventurers and Dragons who share the same name with another ''[=RoB=]'' or ''GBF'' character. For example, compare ''Dragalia''[='=]s [[https://dragalialost.gamepedia.com/Garuda Garuda]] to ''Rage''[='=]s [[https://rageofbahamut.wikia.com/wiki/Birdman_Garuda Garuda]] and ''Granblue''[='=]s [[https://gbf.wiki/Garuda Garuda]]. They all have varying designs despite sharing the same name. The Designs of the dragons used in this game are actually imported from an old Cygames title ''Knights of Glory'' that had a different overall design than the aforementioned two games.
** Outside of other Cygames titles, some characters also share their name with character from other works. Botan shares her name with a certain [[Manga/YuYuHakusho reaper girl]], and Maribelle shares her name with a [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Fire Emblem character]]. ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIV'' shares names of dragons with other dragons (Midgardsormr and Nidhogg) and Primals (Ifrit, Garuda, Leviathan).
** Leif, the leader of the White Sparrow Knights, share the same name as [[VideoGame/FireEmblemThracia776 the Prince of Leonster]] and [[VideoGame/AnimalCrossing a gardener sloth]].
** The Doctor, a prominent figure in "Scars of the Syndicate", [[Series/DoctorWho is not a Time Lord]].

* InvisibleAdvertising: Nintendo had barely advertised the game besides promoting collaboration and anniversary events.

** In late October of 2018, Creator/Ufotable, who did the anime cutscenes for the game, was in the talks with both Cygames and Nintendo to make a full fledged [[https://twitter.com/KaroshiMyriad/status/1049496934904344576 ''Dragalia Lost'' anime]]. This never came to pass for reasons unknown.

** Some characters have been teased, but due to the game ending service, they would never see the light of day. Such characters include Atlas (the brother of Promethius, Epimethius, and Menoetius, whose appearance was [[https://twitter.com/dragalialost/status/1504215959506075651 teased on the game's Japanese Twitter]]), Dark Phoenix (sister of the standard and Corsaint Phoenixes, who was only mentioned by name), and the leaders of the Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Sheep, and Dog Clans (faces shown in "Celestial Showdown", with no names given).

* DoingItForTheArt: Deven Mack (Volk, Joachim, Durant) loves working on the game so much that he sometimes makes fandubs of it, even getting some of the other voice actors to reprise their roles. Most of them are based on ''Dragalia Life'', but a few are also based on Wyrmprints and the game's story. He even managed to successfully get Creator/XanderMobus to voice Joker in a few of them.

** ''Dragalia'' was also, more specifically, very similar gameplay-wise to ''Shironeko Project''/''Colopl Rune Story''; ''Shironeko'' game didn't last long in its ''Rune Story'' incarnation in English, but it's a long runner in Japan, and in general ''Dragalia'' didn't manage to capture much of the Japanese mobile action RPG crowd away from ''Shironeko''. Its failure in this arena is one of the things that ultimately doomed the game as a going concern.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: When Version 2.0 hit in September 2020 for the 2nd Anniversary, a lot of backstory lore for the Weapons[[note]]Including Void, Dragon, and Agito Weapons[[/note]] had disappeared not just from the game, but from the wiki as well. The only way to read that old lore now is to look up sites that collected it before Version 2.0.

** Sophie from ''VideoGame/Persona5Strikers'' became available as a free character on January 30, 2021, before the game she came from got a western release on February 19, 2021.

* TheOtherDarrin: Because of a [[https://www.usgamer.net/articles/nintendos-dragalia-lost-is-now-a-union-voice-acting-production union agreement]] between Nintendo and [=ACTRA=], the game's voice cast went through some major changes. While some of them were merely using pseudonyms and are now going by their real names, others were replaced entirely.
