*** Goro Akechi is never going to live down his love of pancakes, as him mentioning "delicious pancakes" is actually a plot point.[[spoiler: It's not the pancakes themselves in this case, but the fact that he said he'd heard ''someone else'' mention them. Someone did, but that someone was Morgana (he compared a building to a pancake) and unless you've been to the Metaverse, you can't hear Morgana's speech as anything but cat noises. Goro says this line in June, but later claims he first went to the Metaverse in October. Joker remembers the pancakes comment and realizes that Akechi was lying and was the 'Black Mask' Persona user behind the mental shutdowns. This allowed the Thieves to prepare a plan to fool Akechi and fake Joker's death. All of Akechi's deception went down the drain because he talked about pancakes at the wrong time. Hilariously enough, a conversation in ''Royal'' shows that Akechi doesn't want to hear about pancakes for a ''long'' time after they caused his downfall.]]

** If his movie intro and his between-round animations are anything to go by, Bear Hugger loves drinking jugs of ''[[CanadaEh maple syrup]]''.

** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIV:

*** Urianger is also maybe one of the only people in the world to actually enjoy [[NondescriptNutritionalNasty Archon Loaf]], finding it nostalgic of happier days in the Studium. When the meal is first introduced in 5.3, the other scions begrudgingly take it because they know they need it for their health, but Urianger is the only one openly excited about the delivery.

This is especially true in the cartoons, where each episode has Mario mentioning pasta at least once, while pizza is the only thing the live-action segments ever show Mario and Luigi eating. However, it also recommends puttanesca, for that stuff is great. In ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'', if you [[IdleAnimation don't move Mario for five minutes or so]], he will sleep on the floor and dream of spaghetti and ravioli. ''VideoGame/SuperMarioOdyssey'' has this animation return, but kicks it up a notch, with Mario dreaming of many, ''many'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V18Kq7IZmY kinds of pasta]], including [[ShownTheirWork some rather obscure ones]]. As for mushrooms, they're often used as things such as power-ups or healing items in the games.

* ''VideoGame/IWasATeenagexocolonist'': Not only does Cal love cake, especially on his birthday, but he also shares a piece with you when you give it to him, reducing a little bit of stress and further boosting your friendship/relationship with him.

The Inn is a clinic for people infected by [[LightIsNotGood too much light aether]] as it slowly turns them into [[AngelicAbomination sin eaters]]. Those working at the Inn tend to the afflicted, trying to ease their burdens in day-to-day life. When they're close to completing their transformation, the innkeepers will give them a LastMeal of their favorite food that's been poisoned to give them a MercyKill.

*** One notable plot point example of this is Goro Akechi's love of pancakes, why is this a plot point example? [[spoiler: He introduces himself by saying he heard someone talking about "delicious pancakes." That someone was Morgana (who'd compared a building to pancakes), but people who haven't been to the Metaverse can't understand Morgana's speech (instead hearing a cat meowing), so Goro inadvertently gave away that he'd been to the Metaverse long before he ''said'' he had.]]

* Nugget from ''VideoGame/{{Kindergarten}}'' is absolutely obsessed with chicken nuggets, to the point where it's even in his name. Just to name a few examples: to become his friend you have to find the five Nuggets of Friendship he's hidden around the school; he carries around [[{{Hammerspace}} more of them than a kindergartener should possibly be able to keep on their person]]; and in Felix's mission in ''VideoGame/Kindergarten2'', he bribes Nugget into [[TunnelKing digging a hole for him]] by offering to take him to his family's (non-existent) nugget factory.

** ''VideoGame/Wario'' series: Wario loves eating garlic cloves - apparently the EvilCounterpart to mushrooms, considering [[GeniusBonus garlic has antifungal properties]]. To go with his purple theme, Waluigi has eggplant instead of garlic.

** ''VideoGame/WarioWare'': Wario loves eating garlic cloves, which are apparently the "evil" counterpart to Mario's mushrooms. To go with his purple theme, Waluigi has eggplant instead of garlic.

* ''VideoGame/FarCry5'': Cheeseburger the bear has salmon as his, and he will follow you around if you give him a salmon and pet him a little. Cheeseburger got his name from where he was found as an abandoned cub, namely scavenging in the dumpster behind the local burger joint for discarded cheeseburgers. However, his fondness for burgers gave him "the diabeetus", so the local wildlife centre put him on a strict salmon diet to get his blood sugar under control.
