* TheDragon: Kenny or Butters usually act as this to Cartman.

** After a series of misunderstandings, Jimmy and Timmy mistake the [[Gangbangers Westside Crips]] for a club for people who were crippled from birth. They're told that to join this "club," all Jimmy and Timmy have to do is "Pop some punk-ass Bloods." They mistake this for an instruction to give the Bloods ''soda'' pop. As they approach the old gas station that the Bloods were using as a hideout, they inadvertently cause a tanker truck to crash into the station, causing an explosion that kills ''thirteen'' Bloods. The Crips immediately accept the two after this, and they quickly start assimilating themselves into the gangster lifestyle. This all takes place without the two ever realizing that they've joined a dangerous, violent crime syndicate.

* DarkerAndEdgier: Pre-Season 5, the show was really silly and amusing. But once we get to the season of uncensored cursing, Cartman [[spoiler:[[Recap/SouthParkS5E4ScottTenormanMustDie killing two people and grinding them up into chili]]]], [[Recap/SouthParkS5E3SuperBestFriends brainwashing Earth Day cults]], [[Recap/SouthParkS5E6Cartmanland life-threatening hemorrhoids]], [[Recap/SouthParkS5E8Towelie genetically-engineered towels]], and [[spoiler:[[Recap/SouthParkS5E13KennyDies Kenny's death being completely PlayedForDrama]]]], sooner or later, you'll realize that the show has gotten a near-complete overhaul.

But once we get to the season of uncensored cursing, Cartman [[spoiler:killing two people and grinding them up into chili]], brainwashing Earth Day cults, life-threatening hemorrhoids, genetically-engineered towels, and butt-faced people, sooner or later, you'll realize that the show has gotten a near-complete overhaul.

* BoringYetPractical: Ultimately the best way to deal Eric Cartman's actions and behavior is just ignoring him. This works because Cartman is such a massive AttentionWhore he can't stand people ignoring him yet is unable to do anything about they don't fall for his manipulations. The boys decide to ignore Cartman which drives Cartman insane to the point where he thinks he's a ghost. Heidi decides Cartman's after breaking up with him for the final time while Cartman is unable follow through with his threats of killing himself. Even his mother decides to ignore Cartman where Cartman is unable to to manipulate her into getting breast implants, instead winding up with them himself. In the new future at the end "Post-Covid" duology, ''everyone'' decides to ignore Cartman where Cartman winds up becoming a friendless, homeless, and miserable alcoholic who has done nothing but scream insults at people just to get even the slightest bit of attention without much success.

* BuxomIsBetter: Parodied in "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society". Being an early blooming third-grader, her "breasts" are practically nonexistent (she first mistakes them for mosquito bites), but even they're enough to first make every boy in her grade fall head-over-heels for her and eventually transform into lustful, breast obsessed cavemen. [[spoiler:They all grow out of it just in time for Wendy, who's spend the entire episode jealous of Bebe's newfound popularity, to get ridiculously large breast implants, which of course immediately turn her into a subject of mockery instead of adoration.]]

* CoitusEnsues: In "The Death Of Eric Cartman", Eric hears what sounds like his mother crying because of his "death". Boy was he ever wrong. We get a nice scene of Eric's mother '''getting RAILED on HER BED by a black man'''. HilarityEnsues.

* DoTheyKnowItsChristmasTime:
** Subverted in "Red Sleigh Down"; Santa Claus is taken prisoner in Baghdad and Jesus leads a commando mission to rescue him. Santa makes it out alive, but Jesus is shot and killed during the escape, which prompts Santa to give a conclusory speech about how Jesus died for him and decrees that every Christmas they remember Jesus and the sacrifice he made.
** Also parodied in the first Halloween episode. At the end of said episode, Stan says he learned that, "Halloween isn't about costumes, or candy. It's about being good to one another, and giving and loving." He is then told by Kyle that it actually applies to Christmas and that Halloween is about, in fact, costumes and candy.
** Going even further back, "The Spirit of Christmas," the original South Park short, concludes with "Christmas is about presents."

** Averted with some actual Canadian celebrities who have been caricatured on the show, including Music/AlanisMorissette, Music/JustinBieber, Music/SarahMcLachlan, and professional wrestler Wrestling/{{Edge}}. They are portrayed in the "normal" style despite being Canadian.

* CourtroomAntic: Spoofed in "Chef Aid".

** Kenny's brother, Kevin (the dirty kid who speaks like a hick, when he speaks at all). He was only seen in "Starvin' Marvin" (from season one), "Chickenlover" (from season two), and "Chickenpox" (also from season two). His most recent appearance was in season 19 episode "The City Part of Town".

* CurrencyConspiracy: In "Sexual Healing", the Head Scientist goes to Barack Obama and explains that money has a direct link to sex addiction. He then shows a zoomed image of a $100 bill to reveal the picture of Independence Hall. Obama then reveals that that the Roswell Aliens carried a virus that was barely contained, but has been set loose by an Alien Wizard in Independence Hall. Of course, the whole thing is itself a conspiracy drummed up by the nation's men so that they don't have to take responsibility for their bad sexual habits.

* BeethovenWasAnAlienSpy: Music/{{Slash}} is really a mythological character based on the legend of Vunter Slaush. It was just one of their parents that actually played at Cartman's party.

* {{Cloudcuckooland}}: {{Canada|Eh}}. The entire country is obsessed with farts, all vehicles have square wheels, and traditional weddings involve a giant bowl of pudding, the guests tossing Captain Crunch, and the groom shoving the bride's severed arm up his ass. Watch out for Scott!
