Their mother is also Latina, as evidenced not only by the profusion of Hispanic names, but also by the Puerto Rican flag hanging in Mel's bedroom. It also makes a minor appearance as Maggie, looking to explore her heritage and applying for scholarships, checks both the latin/Hispanic box and the black/African-american box.

* PlayingGertrude: Creator/MelonieDiaz, who portrays middle sister Mel, is the eldest cast member of the three sisters, making her this to Creator/MadeleineMantock's Macy.

Niko is massively irate, slamming Mel for making this massive decision without even bothering to consult Niko. She also rails on how she's been worried over losing her mind over gaps in her memory and her feelings for Mel and wants nothing to do with the woman anymore.]]

While her new molecular powers are arguably more suited for combat, she loses all of her time-based powers that had already reached reality-warping levels by the end of the first season. * AssPull: The limits of the sisters' active powers are murky, which leads to some...convenient plot devices. This is particularly egregious with relation to [[spoiler:Mel's time magic. In a season 3 episode, we find that Mel used her powers to hide her Source fragment in the future -- an extraordinary capability she'd never shown before. Her casual reference of this power makes this moment even more jarring.]]

* TwoferTokenMinority: The sisters share a Latina mother, Macy and Maggie having a black father too. Mel is also a lesbian.

* WarHero: Leo served in WWII. When he attended a reunion (pretending to be his own grandson) all the other veterans, many of them war heroes themselves, and their families all gathered around Leo to talk about how he saved their lives.

Mel is the middle sister with a variation of Piper's powers, with Prue's domineering personality and {{Action Girl}} tendencies.
