These games hosted at the [[Webcomic/OrderOfTheStick Giant In The Playground]] forums are part MegaCrossover, part MSTing. For one reason or another, a random assortment of characters from fiction have appeared in the world of a series considered to be poorly written (traditionally ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' or ''TheInheritanceCycle''), frequently with some motivation to kill its main characters. The game ends when all main characters of the work are dead. Sounds like a HateFic, except that interactions between PlayerCharacters can make up a [[UltimateShowdownOfUltimateDestiny significant]] [[OddCouple portion]] [[StoryBreakerTeamUp of the plot]], to the point where the series being "lynched" is little more than a backdrop.

** [[CodeGeass C.C.]] was [[{{Transmetropolitan}} Spider Jerusalam's]] first wife as well as the [[DresdenFiles Summer Lady]] as Geass is now a minor form of Sidhe Knighthood.

* ''BlackestNight'': Part of the storyline of these comics is incorporated, with Black Lanterns arising to attack TheMultiverse. Among other things, [[KingdomHearts King Mickey Mouse]] and [[TengenToppaGurrenLagann Kamina]] become Blue Lanterns, while [[Manga/DeathNote Light Yagami]] becomes a Yellow Lantern.

** Every AnthropomorphicPersonification of [[TheGrimReaper Death]] is the same character. On occasion this means [[{{Castlevania}} Dracula]] can be seen in the company of [[TheSandman a perky goth girl]].

* CombatPragmatist: Everybody seems to be one, fighting dirty and doing whatever it takes to win, including ganging up and kicking them when they are down. Even people you'd never expect it from.

* FictionalHoliday: "[[DoctorDoom Doomsday]] is the main holiday in Latveria. It is celebrated whenever [[DoctorDoom Doom]] feels like celebrating."

** [[TheSandman The Endless]] summoning the [[{{Preacher}} Saint of Killers]] to take care of the Crimson King and giving [[DresdenFiles Michael Carpender]] another magical weapon to take care of the Saint.

* SuperWeight: Most of the characters in this game are high on the scale, if they don't outright break it.
** Except the ones that are not. These make it up by being {{badass}}.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Lord Zedd. His senior tecnician is [[AlienScrappy Jar Jar Binks]]. His infiltrator is [[PsychopathicManchild Invader Zim]]. And his main general? [[DragonballAbridged Nappa]]. Most of his other servants are not much better, or more effective. The very fact he mannages to be a threat at all says something about his power.

* TheDogWasTheMastermind: We learn that the Cullens attacking countless worlds was all orchestrated by one being creating them for the purpose of seeking power and destabilizing the universe. We learn it was all a huge gambit to tear apart reality at it's fundamental point and watch all creation, all possible worlds burn around it. We learn of a [[HumanoidAbomination Eldritch Abomination]] specifically birthed to bring this about, and arranged to be in the position where it can end all reality. And the man behind it all? Charlie Swann, a man of many handles, partner, who prefers to be called [[LouisCypher Randall Flagg]]. Yeah, MindScrew.
* TheOlderImmortal: The Kurgan to Nicodemus. Played with, as Nicodemus is a man of wealth and taste, the Kurgan is a primitive brute.

* WhatTheHellHero: Dream provides many such moments. Of course, it's [[JerkassGods only to be expected with him.]]
** As does the Stig, who blows up Chicago to make sure TheHost doesn't spread, even though most of the people within aren't possessed yet.
** Thanos of all people calls out [[GetterRobo Hayato]], saying that the Getter Force is as big an abomination as anything it fights, it doesn't give a damn about anything but it's own self interest and egoism, he and his entire groups are all total hypocrite and that at least he doesn't go around telling people being made part of death is for their own good. He still ends up helping them, but it was nice to see.

* TheSouless: Loosing his identity and all his emotions, and thus his ego as well, and then going mad really made him far mored dangerous then he ever was before.
* OddlySmallOrganization: V's group of terrorists who are holding every government in the world at gunpoint consists of Spider Jeruselum (whom is more of an independent contractor) and three women, which only two of have any affect whatsoever.
* TheUnfettered: V. He'll sell his soul, torture his son, manipulate the woman he proports to love, and do whatever it takes to reach his objective, even when the entire point of reaching said objective no longer has any meaning, he won't even slow down.

* LogicBomb: John uses a... [[{{Squick}} interesting]] variation of this.

* TheHunter: Baby Bonnie Hood, Cassie Hack and John Chesse all have this to a certain degree when facing monsters.

* XanatosGambit: V pulled off a truly spectacular one against TheAuthority, killing off almost the entire roster, and if not for circumstances beyond his ability to forsee, he would probably have won. Light attempted one against TheAuthority, and whether he succeeded or not is really a question.

* GambitRoulette: Flagg's plan. Though it wasn't a plan, so much as going with the flow.

* HannibalLecture: Several. A few even work.
** Hannibal himself shows them all how it's done, reducing a Green Lantern to the point that he couldn't use his powers then maiming him, just by talking.

* XanatosGambit: Odin knew everything. Your scheme? He was on to it from the start. Your accomplices? He was the one who let your letters get to them. That time you stubbed your toe? He was watching!
** Though what he actually pulled off was a ThanatosGambit, letting the [[TheChosenMany Green Lanterns]] kill him the propper way so as to reform as he who he was. Still well played, however.

* MagnificentBastard: Aro, against all probability, managed to be one. Most of the players were shocked. Mr Tiny is also very good and getting people to do what he wants and getting away with it.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: In his most hilariously [[KickTheDog cruel]] act in the game, Raistlin uses an Orb of Dragonkind to ''make Saphira eat Eragon alive''.

* CompleteMonster: Carlisle, from the little we see of him gives off this vibe, dissecting children while still alive in order to understand how they can use magic and to provide his family with superpowers, and starting a plague for no reason other then he can. Richard also gives this off, doubling as TheCaligula. So much so, he manages to shock members of TheAuthority so much they rethink their own actions and step down from power (!).

* CrazyAwesome: Much of this game was.
* CrossoverShip: [[ThereWillBeBrawl Kirby]]/[[Series/{{Heroes}} Sylar]]. We kid you not. It just sort of... happened.

* CrazyAwesome: Always to be expected. But [[{{Yu-Gi-Oh}} children's card games]] in the same sentence as Nazi invasion probably deserves some sort of reward.
* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Magneto, killing Nazis in Forks and defending innocent people while saying "Never again."

* AntiClimaxBoss: Discussed but ultimately averted. The Crimson King is killed offscreen before he can finally be confronted, by [[{{Preacher}} The Saint of Killers]], but he is fought instead and actually makes a better villain, as he planned to climb the staircase and kill [[{{God}} GOD]]. And Stephanie Meyer, with her formidable reality bending powers, is more a threat then she appears.
*** Even if she does just drool and shout out "EEEE!"

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Ivenzo/Zexion confronts Leon and reveals himself to be [[TheSpoonyExperiment Doctor Insano]] in one post only for the events to be totally ignored in his player's next post because they were considered too insane even for this game.

* CompleteMonster: Plenty. Most of them have scenes that will demonstrate to you exactly how they arrived at this point.
** Flagg and Nicodemus actually [[MoreEvilThanThou compete over who's more evil]]. They seem about equal, Flagg is better at [[KickTheDog Kicking the hell out of the dog]] and [[MoralEventHorizon and raping it when it's down]], Nicodemus is better at [[HannibalLecture corrupting innocents]].

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Can't be listed here, for fear of crashing the entire internet. But most characters get at least one.
** However, Elijah Snow's Karaoke gambit is a particularly fine example.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: Death and Thanos are spending time together, now that he's dead again. So Thanos, on the advice of Morpheus, creates a copy of TheLittleMermaid by manipulating his cells to into the shape and cellular structure of a DVD to watch with her as a sort of date. We are then treated to an explanation of Thanos the nihlist trying to make sense of it.

* TrappedByMountainLions: Some of the subplots seem to have little to do with the premise of the game, though they are eventually drawn together somewhat satisfactorily.
