They can only take precautions and protect themselves from it, and if they ''can't'', then they'd better get out of there or else. Just like real life natural disasters, with the possible exception of the fact that Celestia, Luna, and to some extent Rainbow Dash do manage to slow things down a bit.

* AdjustingYourGlasses: Sunburst pushes his glasses up quite often, as they keep slipping. Unlike Moondancer, though, he usually does it with his hoof rather than with magic.

* NotSoDifferent: Starlight and Sunburst were so ashamed of revealing their true selves that they were more than a little surprised when they finally dropped the facade and let their {{Old Shame}}s out in the open.
