* ThreeDEffectsTwoDCartoon: As part of the StylisticSuck of the theme song, the fight between Toth-Ra and Glomgold is done in very poor 3D CGI animation. {{Lampshaded}} in the song lyrics.

** The episode, [[StatusQuoIsGod rather than ending with Louie doing the right thing and signing the company over to Scrooge no questions asked,]] [[SubvertedTrope ends with]] [[WhatYouAreInTheDark Louie contemplating what to do with his newfound wealth and power in front of a worried Scrooge and Della]]. Louie is [[TokenEvilTeammate proud to admit he's the Evil Triplet who sees all the angles]], and as far as he's concerned, [[DarkHorseVictory he EARNED this win]]. Louie's behavior, good or bad, isn't going to change overnight, especially when his dream is right in front of him.

* BatmanGambit: [[GuileHero Louie]] pulls off a HELL of a one. Using their mutual hatred of Scrooge, he convinces the villains to pool their resources to back Glomgold so he wins the bet in exchange for the villains sparing the Duck-McDuck family. He then convinces Glomgold to sign him on as his partner, knowing that Glomgold would never 1) use his [[UnfortunateName real embarrassing name of Duke Baloney]] for anything, or 2) read the fine print on the contract detailing that Louie would get his shares should he use an alias. For good measure, Louie even uses his '''own''' EmbarrassingFirstName on both points that matter, therefore making '''himself''' the richest duck in the world once he pulls this off, therefore stripping his foes AND his great uncle of all their wealth.

** Also, the RoguesGallery here consists of [[CorruptCorporateExecutive two confirmed billionaire CEOS,]] [[TheDon a crime boss]] [[SiblingsInCrime and her army of sons,]] [[SkyPirate a ruthless, singing pirate,]] [[EvilSorceress and an evil witch with access to the souls of the damned]]. None of them can be considered poor to be able to keep up with the likes of Scrooge [=McDuck=]. Combined, their wealth actually is more than enough to be considered richer than Scrooge's.

* ChekhovsGun: Louie [[Recap/TheBalladofDukeBaloney remembers Glomgold's real name is Duke Baloney]], which means "Flintheart Glomgold" has no legal bearing.

** Burger, Bouncer, and Big Time Beagle are the Huey, Dewey, and Louie respectively, as the three brothers, one smart, one tough and one sharp.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: The LegionOfDoom finds out that Glomgold didn't have an actual plan for destroying Scrooge and his family. His strategy was to assemble counterpoints for each member of the family and kill them all, with no thought given to ''how'' that would be done. His lack of planning is so bad that they attack the manor when almost everyone is away.

* JerkassHasAPoint: While Glomgold wants to exclude Magica primarily for ego reasons, he's right that she's not as useful as she would have been in the past now that she's lost her powers. Outside of managing to dispatch Duckworth with a magical gem she had in her possession, she's reduced to using smoke bombs and just physically striking Scrooge and family during the climax.

* StylisticSuck: Glomgold's take over of the theme song is very poorly put together lyrically and the animation budget runs out by the end.

* YankTheDogsChain: As if being grounded wasn't enough, Louie misses out on a fun, easy adventure at Big Rock Candy Mountain. Every time they call him just shows Louie all the fun he's missing.
