In space, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=962#comment-24028 Tau approaches the seemingly lifeless hulk of Unicron]] and rattles off some legalese at the dark god before blasting him with an energy beam. He notices something moving within Unicron's superstructure and goes to investigate. This proves a fatal mistake. The dark god seizes Tau and devours him, repairing himself and transforming into robot mode in the process.

In Omega's command center, Eta has the upper hand until [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=965#comment-24113 Omega decides to give him a taste of his own energy-draining medicine]]. Eta is forced to autotomize most of himself and teleports away, now reduced to a childlike being with barely a fraction of his power. The Champions come across him shortly afterward. Several of the Champions are sympathetic to this seeming lost child, but Ravage, suspicious of this apparent Nomad, wants to kill him. A nasty argument follows, which escalates into a brief but violent altercation between Ravage and Bowser.

Lambda, tired of Digamma's interference, sends "the specimen"--a god-slaying eldritch monster--to kill him. Digamma is not impressed, but the monster--which has an ego to match his own--proves more of a threat than he initially thought.

Back with the Champions, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=951#comment-23756 Ravage unveils the full extent of his upgrade]] by attaching himself to a headless Transformer body based on Emile-a239. Their progress is blocked by [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=953#comment-23804 Quingenti]], who wants to get his torture fix one last time before the world comes to an end. Boss fight ensues. The Champions manage to do significant damage, but the tide only turns when [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=955#comment-23864 Xi teleports into the fray]], having just escaped Digamma, and impales him with her naginata. This weakens him enough for the Champions to bring Quingenti down. He gloats that he has many more bodies waiting for him to jump into, but Xi [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=956#comment-23891 transfers all her memories and most of her power into him]], obliterating his essence. Quingenti is dead, and Xi is now permanently Blink. Blink has no memory of what just happened, and the Champions mostly agree to keep it that way.

In the fight's aftermath, the Champions discuss what they'll do when they get out of here. Some want to go back home, while others feel there's no way they ''can'' go back home. The discussion is cut short when [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=959#comment-23952 a battalion of Militantiaries teleport into the hallway]] and surround the Champions. Mason recognizes the monsters as fellow soldiers and--against the ''strenuous'' objections of his fellow Champions--tries to negotiate with them. In response, they seize him and attempt to convert him into a new Militantiary. But help arrives from an unexpected quarter: Lambda sends [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=960#comment-23995 two of his Maruts]] to back the Champions up, their great strength and powers over law and order helping to even the odds.

Back in his lair, Digamma uses his newly established control over Omega's command center to suspend the bomb's countdown. He then reveals that he intends to rid Xi of her human persona and make her into a "pure" Nomad again. The thought of this horrifies Xi so much that she finds the strength to fight back. A lop-sided battle ensues as Xi tries to break her restraints and escape.

He dons special gauntlets to protect his mangled hands, [[HyperspaceArsenal packs up his arsenal of god-killers]], and goes hunting for Omega.

In the amphitheatre, Tau and Sigma are about to go deal with the weakened Unicron when they are stopped by Eta. Repurposing the empty Current Challenge folder under A Game Of Gods to contain a recap of the game's endgame.

[[folder:Current Challenge]]

[[folder:Current Challenge]]
[[folder:The Endgame]]
The endgame begins immediately after the completion of the crossover challenge with ''Twilight of the Gods''. The Champions discuss their plans to take down the Nomads and argue about the Doctor's morality (or lack thereof), but the argument is cut short as [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=936#comment-23400 the ceiling fractures into an ominous pattern]]. Ravage enters the Common Room and freaks out at the sight of the pattern, recognizing it as the mark of Unicron. The Champions are briefly demoralized as he explains what Unicron is, but they rally. After everything they've been through, they're not about to just lay down and die.

Elsewhere, Digamma reveals to a captive Xi that he lured Unicron here to kill everyone, Champion and Nomad alike. Xi is horrified, both because the planet's destruction would mean she'll never get to erase her memories of being a Nomad and because her friends are going to die.

In the Common Room, Unicron dismisses the Champions' defiance as meaningless babble and essentially tells them that they're all doomed. [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=940#comment-23479 ECHIDNA begs to differ]]. She manifests a gigantic fist from the floor and punches the mark in its face, shoving the real Unicron back a great distance. As her fist retracts back into the floor, she telepathically tells Kimimaro not to lose the Key. Kimimaro recognizes Dr. Langley's voice at the core of her VoiceOfTheLegion and figures out her true identity.

The other Champions are emboldened by ECHIDNA's solidarity, and the Doctor prepares to fly the TARDIS into Unicron to destroy the dark god. Said plan dies before it can get off the ground when Ravage reveals that Unicron probably doesn't have any organic parts. With their best shot seemingly a bust, the Champions default to their usual behavior: standing around and getting into pointless arguments.

In his private sanctum, Lambda puts the finishing touches on a god-killer weapon. As the tidal pull of Unicron's approach begins to damage the chamber, he pulls out another weapon--the chains of Judecca--and opens a portal to the depths of space. He casts the chain through this portal, using it to whip Unicron and drag the planet-sized Transformer off-course. Zeta and Eta lend him their assistance, while Unicron retaliates by spewing deadly light and acidic corruption through the portal into Lambda's sanctum.

[[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=945#comment-23611 Dis Baba watches this battle from atop one of the spires on the planet's airless surface]]. \n'''To be continued...'''\nEntering the temple, the Challengers soon reach a chamber containing a model of the planet Thor and its twin moons. [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=924#comment-23087 There they run into three of Washington's best troops]]: PoweredArmor-wearing, {{BFG}}-toting {{Super Soldier}}s who can FlashStep. In the resulting fight, Dr. Langley's flesh-and-blood arm is viciously broken and Spriggan is killed.

Right after this, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=926#comment-23147 the Challengers finally meet Dr. Ikari]], who has clearly seen better days himself. He leads everyone to the elevator shaft that leads down to the artifact chamber, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=927#comment-23169 where they begin to experience the effects of the artifact's interference field]]. As they ride the elevator down, he [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=927#comment-23175 provides more exposition]]: the artifact is a prisoner of this temple, and the Bak'nala are its jailors. Bolas speculates that Washington was trying to prevent them from inadvertently releasing the artifact, but Washington--who is waiting for everyone at the bottom of the elevator shaft with a fleet of hovertanks and gunships--corrects him. He believes the artifact is God, that he has been personally chosen to free it, and that it will lead humanity to its rightful place as masters of the universe once it is freed. The artifact itself looms behind him, a titanic and very much living statue chained to the walls and buried up to the waist.

The final battle of the challenge ensues. Washington and his forces are killed to a man, but as dawn's light begins to shine down from the shaft, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=930#comment-23237 the artifact breaks free of its restraints]]. Its power is overwhelming, and while the Challengers go all out and slowly manage to chip away at its physical form, it is clear they will lose.

Lambda will not allow this. He needs the key the Challengers retrieved to complete his own plans. And so, he intervenes. [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=933#comment-23301 He possesses Dr. Ikari, using his powers to shield the Challengers from the entity's attacks]]. The tide begins to turn with his assistance, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=933#comment-23314 and finally the statue crumbles as its physical form dies]]. Hordes of Bak'nala then manifest in the chamber and reimprison the entity's spirit within a new statue made of their own bodies.

Several of the Champions recognize Lambda and bombard him with questions. Why is a Nomad helping them? Can he take over any person's body, or are there restrictions? The thing they just killed wasn't ''really'' God, was it? His answers are vague, but Bolas correctly infers that there's some sort of connection between the Nomad and his current host. Meanwhile, Megatron and Ravage make plans to team up once they escape from the Nomads and [[MultiversalConqueror plant the Decepticon flag on every version of Cybertron throughout the multiverse]].

Lambda offers the challengers one last chance to ask him questions before he sends them back. the only taker is Narumi, who asks whether they're friends now. The Nomad doesn't deign to answer this and snaps his fingers, marking the challenge as complete.

After Dr. Langley takes a short nap to recuperate from that traumatic experience, the group gets underway once more. But the triumphant mood from overcoming her demons slowly sours over the next three hours. Rey is still saying nonsense, and the Doctor is getting worse: he wallows in his guilt over the lives he's taken while rebuffing all attempts to commiserate with him, lift his spirits, or convince him that he is not the only person who can solve the crisis plaguing this world. His sheer negativity pushes Galen toward the dark side, and [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=915#comment-22861 a callous comment]] pisses Dr. Langley off so much that she stops the bus, [[EyeScream gouges out one of the Doctor's eyes]], and reads him the riot act. Chaos ensues, during which the Doctor is killed.

[[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=917#comment-22914 Then Washington hijacks the radio once again]]. OrbitalBombardment ensues. Bolas uses his magic to shield the bus while Dr. Langley floors it and gets them out of there. The other Challengers can't do much in this situation so they sit around.

Elsewhere, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=918#comment-22935 Unicron enters the Nomads' star system]] and begins advancing on their world. Back in the challenge, the bombardment goes on for quite some time, though it stops once they reach the outskirts of the desert. The hoverbus dies as all the sand blowing around clogs its engines. Dr. Langley manages to bring it down safely within walking distance of the dig site. Kimimaro hands out protective sandstorm gear to those who need it, and the group continues toward the ruins on foot. The Bak'nala watch the Challengers from nearby dunes, but inexplicably are not attacking.

[[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=921#comment-23007 Ten minutes later, they arrive at the dig site]]. They discover that Washington's soldiers have built a barricade around this alien temple, with armed guards and powerful floodlights to keep the hordes of Bak'nala massing outside at bay. The Challengers discuss possible ways to circumvent the security, which become moot when [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=923#comment-23068 something cuts the power to the lights]]. Up at the front, Dr. Langley confirms that it will take 5-6 hours to reach the desert. Three weeks ago, Dr. Ikari's team unearthed a strange artefact deep beneath the alien ruins they were excavating. The artefact--a statue--gives off an "interference field" which scrambles communications, and its chamber has a shaft in the ceiling which seems designed to focus the light of the moons onto the artefact itself. Washington's forces commandeered the dig site soon afterward and forbade Dr. Ikari's team from leaving or contacting the outside world. The entities that have been attacking the Challengers first began to appear after the statue was bathed in the moonlight coming from the shaft. He tentatively dubs the entities the "Bak'nala"[[note]]A translation of the hieroglyphics found in the chamber[[/note]] and warns the Challengers that their mental influence over their victims is difficult to remove.

He is right to warn them, for while Rey no longer hears Angie's voice, he now hears the laughter of his children instead. They are calling him to come play with them, and as he wakes up, he sees their smiling faces watching him through one of the bus's windows...

He claims that the artefact will secure humanity's dominance over the galaxy and that the Bak'nala are simply a trial which must be overcome before that happens. He also smugly claims that the Challengers won't get anywhere near the dig site.

Simultaneously, Rey is desperately trying to open the bus's doors to let his "kids" inside. Link, Jack, Vezon and Bolas all try to stop him or convince him that what he's seeing isn't real in their own ways. Now that the group is out of immediate danger, tensions begin to rise, and tempers begin to flare. Rey is still affected by whatever the entities did to him, accusing the Challengers of murdering Angie. Link invokes the power of the Triforce to try to cure Rey, who breaks down sobbing before falling asleep. Bolas takes advantage of Rey's unconscious state to rummage through his mind, manipulate his thoughts, and appoint him guardian of an artifact that will slowly accumulate the mana Bolas needs to cast his bigger spells.

Meanwhile, Link's overuse of the Triforce awakens Dark Link, who takes control of his body. Icarax makes a failed attempt to exorcise the fiend by draining Link's inner darkness, then hurls Dark Link from the bus. This tricks Dark Link into withdrawing temporarily, and Icarax swoops down, catches Link, and brings him back aboard. The other Champions are understandably concerned for their friends, more so when Link regains consciousness and confides the truth of what Dark Link is.

The Challengers bail out of their ruined vehicle with Dr. Langley, landing on a nearby skybridge. As they try to get their bearings and make sense of the yawning void in the night sky, Dr. Ikari suddenly calls Dr. Langley on her Phi-module. The transmission is garbled, but he tells them that things are too dangerous at the ruins and urges Dr. Langley to stay away for her own safety.

At the same time, the more mystically inclined Challengers realize that they are not alone: an otherworldly presence is observing them from the darkness. Megatron fires his fusion cannon into the darkness, and in response, [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=878#comment-21939 an entity slithers out of the shadows]]. It is unconcerned with the gaping hole this attack left in its chest and approaches Megatron to examine his cannon, its touch causing his metal body to rust. Ravage, Megatron, and Sec all open fire on the entity, seemingly killing it. In the momentary lull, Dr. Langley tells her husband that she's coming to save him no matter what he has to say about it. In turn, Dr. Ikari gives the Challengers some valuable advice before signing off: don't look at the sky if they want to keep their sanity, stay away from the shadows, and use fire to kill entities because it's the only thing which seems to stop them from regenerating.

Jack asks where they can obtain transport for the rest of their journey, and Dr. Langley suggests that they steal a hoverbus from a nearby transit hub. Before the Challengers can set out, however, they realize that Dr. Ikari was right: the creature has completely regenerated itself while they were talking. Worse, it is joined by two more of its kind. The first entity approaches Rey and does something to his mind that makes him hear the voice of his wife Angie calling out to him. The other two go after Sec when Galen Marek Force pushes the Dalek away from the group.

Taking Dr. Ikari's advice, Bolas sets the first entity on fire, then [[SpellBlade imbues Megatron's weapons with flame]]. As Megatron lays into the entity with his newly flaming swords, Angie's voice begs Rey to save her from the pain. Jack is forced to carry the traumatized wrestler away from the scene as Zod finally kills the monster. Meanwhile, Sec manages to kill one of his attackers with his [[FireBreathingWeapon defoliator]], but the other one dodges the attack and coils around him like a python. His attempt to disintegrate the entity with his de-molecularizing forcefield backfires, ramping up the creature's natural regeneration to such an absurd level that even fire becomes ineffective. Narumi comes to the Dalek's aid, but because he missed Dr. Ikari's explanation of the creatures' weaknesses, he accomplishes little.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Challengers follow Dr. Langley's directions to the transit hub. She begins to hotwire a hoverbus big enough to carry everyone, with the Challengers standing guard. Rey is still hearing his wife's voice, accusing him of letting "them" kill her. He breaks free of Jack's grasp and tries to come to his wife's aid, while other Champions try to reason with him and convince him that the voice isn't real to limited success.

At this point, Ravage decides it's time to bust out of prison. He tricks a guard into opening his cell by activating his cloaking device to make it look like he teleported away, then kills the guard and frees Megatron. He calls Subaru to arrange for pickup.

Meanwhile, the other Challengers discover that [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=870#comment-21733 Washington has sent a heavily armed gunship to either bring them in or bring them down]]. An aerial battle ensues, and while the Challengers manage to bring the gunship down, they lose valuable time and one of their hovercars in the process. They swing by the stockade to pick up Ravage and Megatron, then drive on toward the desert.

The city limits are just coming into view when the clock strikes twelve and the eclipse reaches totality--at which point the entire city is plunged into a sudden blackout. The moons disappear from the sky, leaving an unnatural darkness which [[TheStarsAreGoingOut quickly spreads to blot out the stars]]. At the same time, the glamour that made the Challengers seem like normal humans is dispelled, and Megatron and Bolas suddenly return to their natural size, tearing the hovercar apart around them in the process.

Meanwhile, Megatron has been trying to hack his PHI-module with no success. Eventually a voice speaks to him through the device, telling him he's wasting his time and that he should just sit tight until "the fun" begins. He tries to interrogate the voice, but it refuses to answer his questions. It advises him not to die before signing off. After this, Megatron and Ravage compare notes on their respective Nomad captors.

Back at the hotel, Dr. Langley explains that the assassins were members of an alien race called the karkarlikarrh, which had recently been at war with humanity. They seem to have been after Gordon, but she can't explain why. As the Challengers debate the assassins' motives and discuss possible countermeasures, the discussion turns to the subject of the desert ruins and the strange behavior of their Phi-modules. This confuses Dr. Langley, so Bolas [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=863#comment-21552 recites several of the glitched messages from earlier verbatim]]. She tinkers with her own PHI-module and confirms that something is seriously wrong with the planetary information network.

Worried, Dr. Langley leads everyone to their suite and tries to contact her husband Dr. Ikari, the head of the university's xenoarchaeology department, who is away on a dig at one of the ruins. When she gets his answering machine, the Challengers unanimously decide to go to the dig site and look for him. Dr. Langley arranges some transport.

Before they leave, Jack calls the security chief and Administrator Washington to inform them of the recent attack and network difficulties. Both men prove unhelpful: the former is too distracted by preparations for the upcoming anniversary celebration to pay Jack much heed, while the latter simply tells them to forget about Dr. Ikari and the ruins and lie low until whatever's going on has run its course. Dr. Langley strongly disagrees with Washington, as does Kimimaro. Washington threatens them not to go to the ruins, but Dr. Langley disconnects him.

The group then decides to learn more about each other's abilities while they wait for transport to arrive. The blatant supernatural powers on display leave Dr. Langley dumbstruck, and for a bit she becomes convinced that [[BizarreDreamRationalization everything going on must be a very bad dream]]. The Challengers manage to convince her otherwise, with varying degrees of sympathy.

Fifteen minutes later, the two hovercars that Dr. Langley summoned arrive. As the Challengers board the flying vehicles, they notice that the eclipse has already started and that the whole city is counting down to midnight. A grim mood settles over the Challengers as Dr. Langley informs them that they can't possibly reach the ruins before midnight arrives. Whatever is about to happen, they will not be able to stop it...

The recap of the crossover challenge is very inaccurate, not to mention a Wall Of Text. I am expanding and rewriting it.

The mixed Champion/Overlord team awoke in a spaceship via cryogenic pods before they landed in Thor. Once they arrived, they were given Phi-modules as a means of aiding them in their navigation around the planet, placed on their wrists with Ravage and Megatron being detained before the latter joined up with the team after they broke out. Being interested in these devices, the team begins to ask questions to the module on what the planet was like and as to how they were involved with Thor and the era they were in. As they got to the hotel with bookings to room reservations placed under the names of Gordon and Zod, they were attacked by creatures alongside a couple of civilians, university students who were interested to hear Gordon's talk. The team was initially overwhelmed in a surprise attack before they fought back and went to see Dr. Langley, who aided them at first before she told them that she was heading out to see her husband as he was trapped in an excavation site. The group arrived in a hotel and settled down while Dr. Langley called in to see if her husband was alright. Jack contacts the hotel's security chief and the planetary administrator regarding the attack, but receives a rebuff from the latter when he told them to take it easy. Spriggan was shocked during the time of the attack and thus, blamed himself for allowing the woman to die under his watch before he vowed to get revenge on whoever was responsible for killing the students. The team evaded security forces long enough to escape their sight as martial law was declared by the planetary administration with the military being mobilized to hunt them down. The team unanimously agrees to help Dr. Langley in rescuing her husband. While escaping with the doctor, the team was forced to fight back against the military by attacking their transports. In doing so, they were able to get away. But due to unknown reasons, the spinner transports the group used crashed after Bolas and Megatron grew back to their original, tall sizes. The starts were also absent from the night sky. Dr. Ikari tried to contact Dr. Langley to no avail, owning to communication difficulties. He warned her that the group shouldn't stare at the sky for a long period of time as the scientist said that most of his excavation crew had went crazy over this.

Ravage went to join up with Dr. Langley and the others, evading capture from the military and made their escape on a bus the scientist had secured as their main transport after he contacted Rey for extraction. During the escape, Rey begans to have hallucinations on hearing his wife's voice when he was with Jack, Spriggan, the Doctor and Link while everyone else began to engage a [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=uob7p22fde8x8xjk3zrwotce&page=883#22052 humanoid creature]]. Spriggan and the Doctor try to restrain him as he was being a danger to himself and the others, but Link was able to calm the wrestler down by magic. After this, Rey calmed down and the TGS agent calmly placed him on a seat and removed his restraints, being sure that he won't attack him and the others alike. Thanks to Link, the wrestler was able to relax. At this time, Narumi joined up with the group after he was initially separated, transforming to Kamen Rider Skull. Icarax caught up with the bus, getting inside with help from Kimimaro. As Link was resting, he begins to have chest problems before he collapsed while being in a dream, fighting a strange Shadow inside his consciousness. While Rey was having visions of his children, Dark Link appeared on the bus having taken over Link's body. Dark Link's presence made Icarax and Bolas challenge it before Kimimaro warned it that he won't hesitate to fight when needed. During an attack on the bus by numerous Morlocks, which was backed up by an enormous winged creature known as the Leviathan, Dark Link and the Doctor had a heated exchange, which prompted the Doctor to turn his defoliator on the being. This incapacitated him briefly, but he soon made a comeback. However, Link, from the depths of their shared psyche, managed to break the dark entity's hold on him, returning himself to reality and regaining some of his original power - but he was shaken by the event, Dark Link having tortured him and shaken his belief in himself.

The Doctor dies when Galen chokes him on the throat before the journeys resumes. The group infiltrates the temples and in the middle of the fight, Spriggan was captured before he was killed. Determined to avenge his death, most of the group went to move on and battle Washington as he was the culprit responsible for the events that happened in Thor. With Washington defeated, Lambda appears using Dr. Shinji's body as a vessel to communicate with the Challengers and the Overlords before they were sent back to the Common Room/All-Lair.

The mixed Champion/Overlord team awoke Champions and Overlords awaken to find themselves in cryo-pods aboard a spaceship via cryogenic pods starship. The medics who come to revive them explain that the ship will soon be landing on the planet Thor, where Gordon is apparently expected to give a lecture on astrophysics at a local university. The two groups are surprised and somewhat wary to see so many unfamiliar faces, recognizing that these strangers must also be prisoners of the Nomads. A fight nearly breaks out as the Doctor and Dalek Sec recognize each other, but a sudden bout of violent turbulence puts a stop to that. A second fight nearly breaks out between Megatron and Ravage, but the two Decepticons are quickly restrained by the ship's security systems and taken away.

The ship lands at the spaceport, at which point the Challengers are informed that they all possess Phi-modules, wrist-mounted devices which effectively act as smartphones. Kimimaro takes advantage of this to get everyone a basic overview of Thor's geography and twin moons

Once they arrived, they were given Phi-modules as a means of aiding them in all go to retrieve their navigation around belongings from the planet, placed on their wrists with ship's quartermaster. Meanwhile, Ravage and Megatron being detained before recognize each other as fellow Decepticons from parallel universes. They compare notes on their respective wars against the latter joined up with Autobots until an orderly tells them to shut up.

Everyone disembarks into
the team after busy spaceport terminus. Trouble arises at the security checkpoint due to the scanners detecting traces of proscribed "xenomatter" and "xenotech" on Megatron and Ravage. At this point the group is introduced to Administrator Washington, the planetary governor. He warns them that Ravage and Megatron could go to prison for a long time if they broke out. Being really have such things, but when the scan results detect traces of xenomatter on Washington as well, he dismisses the scanners as faulty and waves everyone through.

Here the group splits in two: while Ravage and Megatron are taken away to spend a night in the slammer, everyone else gets a luxurious limo ride to a fancy hotel where they have a reservation in Gordon and Zod's names. As they ride in comfort, a convenient news broadcast helpfully informs them that there will be a double lunar eclipse at midnight that very night, which is also the 50th anniversary of the colony's founding. The significance of this is not lost on some Challengers, though others are more

Immediately after this, the two groups arrive at their destinations. Megatron

They board an elevator along with two grad students (a married couple, no less) who geek out over getting to meet the famous Gordon Freeman. But unbeknownst to the Common Room/All-Lair.
Challengers, alien assassins have been watching them since they entered the hotel, and as they ride the elevator up to their suite on the nineteenth floor, the assassins make their move.

An explosion rocks the hotel, bringing the elevator to a screeching halt. One of the aliens decloaks, revealing itself to be a giant centipede wielding a shrapnel gun in each of its four hands. A brutal fight ensues, during which one of the grad students is killed. The Challengers manage to kill the first assassin, but the second one announces its presence by snapping the other grad student's neck and chucking his corpse from the elevator. As the Challengers try to avenge the deaths of these innocent bystanders, a third party finishes off the assassin by shooting it in the eye with an electromagnetic crossbow. The shooter introduces herself as Dr. Aska Langley, dean of the university.

The next day, [[Toys/{{Bionicle}} Hahli]], Toa Mahri of Water, awakens in what she believes to be her apartment after a night of strange dreams…only to discover that stepping outside deposits her not in the plazas of Ga-Metru, but in a strange hallway unlike anything she’s ever seen before. Confused and bewildered, she is joined in short order by a [[LaserBlade Beam Katana-wielding]], part-time assassin known as [[VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes Travis Touchdown]], a diminutive ice-fairy called [[VideoGame/Touhou Cirno]], and a [[Franchise/{{Halo}} Spartan]] SuperSoldier who answers to the designation of 052, or Jorge; all three of them are equally as ignorant of how they arrived in this strange place.

The Overlords, led by Zod, had arrived in the Watch Tower after emerging through a portal from the All-Lair. After being told what to do from Centum, Zod discovers that the Braniac has orchestrated multiple crises in four areas across the globe, and splits up the Overlords into four teams to deal with them. Of these four, the S.T.A.R. Labs, Centennial Park and Mars teams were able to complete their objectives in one form or another, and after defeating the villains involved (one of Brainiac's robotic duplicates, the alien menace Queen Bee and the White Martians, respectively), the Overlords prepared to confront Brainiac on the watchtower...only to learn that the insidious machine was nothing more than a pawn of the real villain, {{ComicBook/Darkseid}}. The Dread Lord of Apokalips made his presence known by casually ripping Bolas' head apart with his bare hands, and while the other Overlords made a spirited effort to subdue him they were no match for the New God, who soundly defeated them all with a single blast of his omega beams.
