** In [[Fanfic/{{Buried}} "The Chrysanthemum and the Sword"]], Kim and Ron are recovering from a horrible ordeal (detailed in the fanfic [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2221453/1/Buried "Buried"]]) at the Yamanouchi Ninja School in Japan. While there, they were amused to discover that someone had created a {{Doujinshi}} manga based on their adventures. Among other things; Ron is depicted as carrying a {{BFG}} and rescuing a [[MostCommonSuperpower very well-endowed Kim]], while Shego is depicted as a demoness who has fallen in love with Mr. Barken.

* Both LetsPlay/{{Markiplier}} and LetsPlay/{{Jacksepticeye}} are vividly aware of the infamous "Septiplier" ship and the fanfics thereof. They were both initially quite cool with it, even jokingly referencing it in a few videos, but both stepped in to call a halt when some fans started to legitimately believe it was a possibility; both of them were/are in long term relationships with other people and didn't want hate directed towards their partners from rabid shippers.

** Also one of the scenes from the WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall ''Warrior #2-3'' review features an alternate Dr. Insano pawing at the alternate Linkara (both based on Johnny from ''Film/TheRoom''), who tells him to stop [[HoYay giving the slash ficcers material]].

* In an omake chapter of ''Manga/GirlFriends,'' [[SenseiChan Narumatsu-sensei]] learns that Tamamin has drawn a rape manga of her and some girls in the class. This naturally freaks her out.

* In ''Literature/GonnaBeTheTwinTail'', someone in Souji's class mentions that there's "tons" of [[{{Sentai}} Tail]][[GenderBender red]] fanart online (including, it's implied, plenty of Rule 34), and he completely flips out.

* ''Literature/{{Durarara}}'' actually has ''canon'' examples of this. Far from being just very vocal [[ShipperOnDeck shippers]], both Walker and Erika have been known to write fanfic (porny or otherwise) of their friends, and [[TooMuchInformation don't care who knows it]].

Including the explicit ones. Which is especially awkward because Rosamund is an AuthorAvatar for Caroline and her love interest is a WriteWhoYouKnow for her hot editor.

* Creator/MichaelRosen famously used to be quite against people making WebAnimation/YouTubePoop videos out of his recorded poems, mainly out of the concern that some of the more risque parodies could have an impact on the target demographic of the original videos, but in recent years, he's taken on a considerably more approving stance on them.

When Sasahara asks her out, she (reluctantly) tells him about it; he's surprised, but not shocked. Ogiue then shows said doujinshi to Sasahara, who good-naturedly teases her about it. ** For a bit Agatha traveled with a theatre troupe that specialized in plays loosely inspired by her father and uncle's adventures, in which she often played her own mother. Agatha takes it better than most of her companions.

* ''Webcomic/GirlGenius'': Upon arrival in Paris, Agatha discovers that she's become the subject of [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20150601#.Wd-50Dtrxpg an opera]] and a [[http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20151026#.Wd-59ztrxpg book series]] (with at least fourteen volumes so far), with a great deal of emphasis on her supposed romantic relationships. Zeetha and Violetta approve.

* In the ''Literature/OctoberDaye'' fandom, there are fics where Toby or other characters close to her discover the "[[https://archiveofourown.org/tags/November%20Nighte%20Universe%20(October%20Daye)/works November Nighte]]" books, which are clearly RomanAClef novels, mostly focusing on the romance between "Ember" (Toby) and "Paris" (Tybalt).

** ''[[Fanfic/AreYouKiddingTheresPornOfUs Are You Kidding?! There's Porn of Us?!]]'' is not only this trope in action (in which Rarity discovers fanmade porn of her), it [[DeconstructedTrope deconstructs]] the trope itself, quietly dissecting and analyzing it behind a light-hearted story. (Well, about as lighthearted as a fictional character becoming upset over discovering porn can be, anyway.)

* ''Fanfic/PeekingThroughTheFourthWall'' has the kids read and comment on random fanfics about themselves, with there also being a spin-off fic (appropriately titled ''Peeking Through the Fourth Wall: After Dark'') having the teenaged siblings read more inappropriate and disturbing content after the others have gone to bed.
* ''[[https://funnyjunk.com/channel/loudhouse/The+loud+kids+react+to+loudcest/bnymLoa/ The Loud Kids react to Loudcest]]'' is a fanart about the Loud kids...well, reacting to [[BrotherSisterIncest Loudcest]].

* On the ''Franchise/StarWars'' fanfic series "[[http://boards.theforce.net/message.asp?topic=14159579 Male Bonding]]", the guys discover a world-wide web. (Only one world? They must be primitive.) Everyone knows their stories. Jokes include:

* ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8063013/1/Planktons_Eye_View Plankton's Eye View]]'' starts with Plankton himself reading ''Fanfic/OneLessLonelyGurl'', a ''WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants'' TrollFic written by the same author.

* ''[[https://funnyjunk.com/channel/loudhouse/The+loud+kids+react+to+loudcest/bnymLoa/ The Loud Kids react to Loudcest]]'' is a fanart version about the loud kids..well, reacting to [[BrotherSisterIncest Loudcest.]]

* Another Real-Life example, which in turn inspired a fic: first, the hosts of Britain's ''Friday Night Project'' surprised Creator/DavidTennant with dramatic readings of explicit Series/DoctorWho fic. * In ''This Is Not A Game'' by Creator/WalterJonWilliams, the protagonist is stranded in Indonesia when its currency collapses, causing rioting. She enlists the help of a bunch of alternate reality gamers to get her out, not all of whom believe it's really happening. As a gag gift, one of her friends later presents her with a bound copy of the Fan Fiction some of these gamers wrote about her.
* In ''Young Sentinels (Wearing the Cape Series Book 3)'' by Creator/MarionGHarmon, one of the trainee superheroes asks series protagonist/team leader Astra what's the downside about being a superhero, and she says "Fanfic!" ("I'd never heard her swear, but the way she said it sounded filthy.")
