* [[ParodiedTrope Skewered]] in ''FanFic/ThoseLackingSpines'', which sees Vexen, Lexaeus, and Xaldin of Organization XIII (as it was in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'') gallivanting around the worlds of ''Kingdom Hearts'' fanfiction. Along the way, they encounter exaggerations of each of their Nobody comrades, as commonly portrayed in Kingdom Hearts fiction, and they routinely make fun of them.

** Some fanfiction, particularly of the DarkFic variety, will have Luan [[StepfordSmiler hide sadness under a happy exterior]].
** Fans occasionally see Leni as [[ObfuscatingStupidity faking]] at least some of her DumbBlonde rep for various reasons ranging from [[UnderestimatingBadassery wanting to be underestimated]] to [[NiceGirl wanting others to feel better about themselves]]. It varies whether any of her siblings know the truth but if any do, it's Lori.
** Some fans have decided that Leni is [[ClosetGeek also secretly a fan]] of [[MyLittlePhony Princess Pony]] even though there's no indication of this.
** Some fans like to interpret [[TeensAreShort Lynn]] as experiencing HeightAngst, [[BigLittleBrother considering she's older than Lincoln yet is the same height as him]]. This is especially evident in fanworks where the two siblings are aged up, showing Lincoln being a foot taller than Lynn.

** Sally Acorn, of ''WesternAnimation/SonicSatAm'' fame, is widely known as one of the very few female characters whose design averted the standard PantslessMalesFullyDressedFemales design scheme, with her clothes consisting of nothing but boots and (later on) a vest much like the male characters in the franchise. Despite the show and the [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics follow-up comics]] never exploring or even calling attention to this aspect, fans often portray Sally as a CulturalRebel and a ShamelessFanserviceGirl who refuses to play along with the setting's "[[DoubleStandard dress code]]," going around "naked" in the same manner as someone who [[DoesNotLikeShoes prefers walking barefooted]].

** Sally Acorn, of ''WesternAnimation/SonicSatAm'' fame, is widely known for being one of the very few female characters whose design averted the standard PantslessMalesFullyDressedFemales design scheme, with her clothes consisting of nothing but boots and a vest much like the male characters in the franchise. Despite this aspect never being addressed in the show and the [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics follow-up comics]], nor influencing her canon personality in any way, fans often interpret Sally as a CulturalRebel and a ShamelessFanserviceGirl who refuses to play along with the setting's "dress code" and its {{Double Standard}} on modesty, going around naked in the same manner as someone who [[DoesNotLikeShoes prefers walking barefooted]].

* Hal Jordan, hero of the ComicBook/GreenLantern corps and, if the fandom is to be believed, perpetual tryhard who feels he never gets any respect as a hero. Became an AscendedMeme as of ''WesternAnimation/TheLegoBatmanMovie'', where Hal is TheFriendNobodyLikes.

* ComicBook/{{Superman}} is most famously a MemeticTroll or MemeticPsychopath, but failing that, he'll be portrayed as utterly clueless to his own SuperpowerLottery and expect everyone else to have a litany of cool superpowers they can use as well. This especially frustrates ComicBook/{{Batman}}, for [[BadassNormal obvious reasons]]. In ''Blog/TextsFromSuperheroes'', Supes is written as scoffing at the idea of not using his powers at every opportunity. For instance, when the daily planet made its employees use a step counter, he tried to give it to Batman instead because Perry would be suspicious if it showed only one or two steps. When Bruce suggested he stop flying everywhere, Clark's reaction was a grossed-out "I knew you wouldn't understand".
* Speaking of Batman, due to the character himself being vastly dependant of [[DependingOnTheWriter the writer]] and [[AdaptationPersonalityChange medium]], it's hard to call anything a MemeticPersonalityChange for him, since most any way you could portray him probably has been canon somewhere. That being said, one bit of BlackComedy that nearly always finds its way into comedic/satirical depictions of the caped crusader is his tendency to see ''any'' recently-orphaned child as a [[ChildSoldier potential Robin]], despite (usually) already having one. If the continuity is set before Bruce had a Robin, he'll be depicted as excited to finally try the idea out. Sometimes this can extend to even children with living parents (in the aforementioned Texts From Superheroes, he seriously considers hiring some kids he [[MistakenIdentity mistook for his current Robin]] during Halloween trick-or-reading). The canonical Bruce Wayne actually had most of his Robins foisted on him by coincidences, he never went out of his way to recruit one. In fact, in one case, it was actually the other way around, and in two others, he was basically trying to rehabilitate them... which didn't work and they died, both times[[note]][[DeathIsCheap and both got better]], but that's neither here nor there[[/note]]. Hence the Memetic Personality Change as a reckless child endangerer.

* ''VideoGame/LoveLiveSchoolIdolFestivalAllStars'': Fans of the ''Fanfic/TokimekiPokeLiveAndTwinbee'' [[AdaptationalPersonalityChange fanfic series]] tend to portray Shizuku Osaka as being a GenkiGirl outside the songs she sings with the other members of A•ZU•NA though she's still calm and mature like her ''SIF ALL STARS'' counterpart, though officially, she's only excitable during the songs sung by A•ZU•NA.

A lot of this was kickstarted by his portrayal in the Super Smash Brothers themed webcomic Webcomic/BrawlInTheFamily and before then he was actually considered one of [[TheScrappy the most hated characters in the series]] because of his [[FlatCharacter lack of personality and presence.]]

** There's a surprising amount of "Lars is depressed" fics, some of which involve him [[SelfHarm Self Harming]] or [[DrivenToSuicide attempting suicide]]. In addition, some of those same fics feature the idea that Lars UsedToBeASweetKid, [[NotSoDifferent a lot like Steven actually]], and Sadie was a BullyHunter for his sake.

* ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel III'' and ''IV'' has fans depict Juna as bisexual due to the numerous amount of times she sees a member of old Class VII, a Thors graduate, [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky or characters from]] [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesZeroNoKiseki previous arcs]] and calls them beautiful or pretty and yet still crushes on [[TheHero Rean]].
** Taken UpToEleven in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesHajimariNoKiseki'' where the entire Magical Alisa minigame turns out to be nothing more than just a dream where she sleeps on her desk inside her dorm room. Considering the MagicalGirl outfits of some of those women in her dream plus her instructor and fans had a field day.

** Even though Shadow's personality [[DependingOnTheWriter ranges from]] a StockShonenRival to Sonic to an [[AntiHero Anti-Heroic]] {{Jerkass}}, much of the fandom portrays him as a memetic edgelord based on his gun-toting, PG-swearing[[note]][[MemeticMutation Where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?]][[/note]] NinetiesAntiHero personality in [[VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog his self-titled spinoff]], even giving him the [[FanNickname nickname]] "Ow the Edge". This became an AscendedMeme in the various [[WebOriginal/SonicTheHedgehogTwitter Twitter]] [[CharacterBlog Takeovers]], where, among other things, he says [[RealMenTakeItBlack he likes to eat whole coffee beans for breakfast]] and his favorite anime is ''Anime/KillLaKill'', which, like his memetic personality, has an edgy, weapon-toting protagonist who [[spoiler:has alien DNA]]. In less serious works it's also popular to portray him as trying to be edgy without actually knowing what that is, [[InternetJerk in a dig at some of his fanbase]].

** Also from ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'', it's widely accepted among the Japanese fanbase that Roy's TrademarkFavoriteFood is curry, occasionally to the point of obsession, due to a photo contest winner in the ''Melee'' days that quickly went memetic. It is also common fanon that Ike [[RealMenEatMeat has an obsession with meat]], most often chicken, especially in Japanese and ''Smash Bros.'' works. While he does mention that meat is his TrademarkFavoriteFood and is indeed a BigEater in canon, [[{{Flanderization}} it has never been to the point of obsession]].

** Due to the [[AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal minimalist outfit]] of her pre-reboot self clashing with the series's standard PantslessMalesFullyDressedFemales design scheme, fans like to portray Sally Acorn as some form of ShamelessFanserviceGirl who dislikes clothes and revels in her nudity, with her outfit often being regarded by her peers as unorthodox or eccentric at best.

** [[spoiler: The Fallen Child]] is, DependingOnTheWriter, a TragicVillain or a CompleteMonster. In Canon, all we have to base their personality on is what little of their actions and words we see, and Asriel's saying that [[AmbiguousSituation they weren't a very nice person]]. Complicating things further is the other bit of fanon that they're either the narrator or a representation of the player's actions, so whether they ''have'' a canon personality at all is a matter of debate. There is one thing that all members of the fandom can agree on, however: they ''definitely'' [[TrademarkFavoriteFood love chocolate]].

** Narancia being childlike, innocent and playful, as opposed to violent and quick-tempered.

** Not surprisingly the fandom has a lot of ideas about [[EvilIsCool Azula]], like that she bullied Zuko because she wanted to take the throne from him, that she'd be a [[MaternallyChallenged terrible mother]] (really just an [[AxCrazy extrapolation from canon]], honestly) and that she was a FilleFatale as a child (which the one time we see her as a child is not shown to be the case. [[NoYay Also, ew]]).
* ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6TheSeries'': [[BigBad Obake]] was seen eating a scone ''[[NeverLiveItDown once]]'' and yet is portrayed by the fandom as having a [[CargoShip borderline sexual]] fixation on them. They call him [[FanNickname Scone Daddy]].

** It's also popular to portray Garen as [[MySisterIsOffLimits excessively]] [[KnightTemplarBigBrother overprotective]] of his little sister, to the point of scaring Ezreal away from pursuing a serious relationship with her. Not much has been officially revealed on how Garen feels towards Lux, except as a stoically understanding big brother that believes she is a strong girl on her own and has enough willpower to make her own decision. He may even welcome Ezreal's companionship with Lux. Garen in general is mainly depicted as a professional Demacian soldier whose attraction to [[FoeYay Katarina]] is an interesting conflict of interest.

The real Sans shows some depressive traits, but they're more based on just plain [[DarknessInducedAudienceApathy not caring about anything]] [[spoiler: because he knows it'll just reset again and they'll never get a happy ending]]. In a more minor case, he apparently likes [[MemeticHandGesture snapping his fingers]].

** Sans never pays his tab at grillby's. He was only seen putting a meal on his tab once, but fans think it fits well with his slacker image.
