However, the Heralds are not plaster saints. * Cassie from ''Literature/{{Animorphs}}'' is presented this way: while all five of the other main characters experience significant CharacterDevelopment over the course of the fifty-four book series, Cassie stays the same from start to finish. Her particular brand of morality, while not always black and white, is portrayed as always ''right'', and though she criticizes her teammates from start to finish and puts them at risk several times to justify her worldview, she is never faulted for it or called out on it. At one point she makes the call to sentence an enemy to a FateWorseThanDeath and it's ''Rachel'' who takes the blame, even though Rachel was just doing Cassie's dirty work.

* Jun Kazama from the ''Franchise/{{Tekken}}'' series. It ''may'' be such an incredible level of purity that even [[spoiler:becoming Unknown]] hasn't eliminated it.

** Mitsuri has first joined the Demon Slayer Corps to find a strong man for her to be HappilyMarried to, but she feels regret for joining the slayers for that reason after realizing her strength and her past insecurities, but she does accept herself for who she is and later seeing how much in love she is with Obanai; thanks to some help from Shinobu and Obanai, at least. She has also been the only Hashira to oppose beheading Tanjiro. [[spoiler:Along with other people in the afterlife, she contributes to saving Tanjiro fron Muzan's corruption.]]

** Another character from aforementioned chapter is Koichi Hirose: He feels immense guilt for accidentally running over a "kitten", despite said thing being a trick by Tamami to activate his stand, leading to Koichi saving his siter and mother from Tamami and sparing the latter's life after defeating him. He also chooses to honor Giorno's respect and leaves in peace after hearing of his dreams and seeing his honorable nature.

* ''Manga/MagicalGirlSite'': Despite all the suffering she has endured, unlike many other girls, Aya Asagiri never used her power for selfish reasons or vengance and is even forgiving toward the people who made her life miserable. She is also ready to do anything to save and protect her friends like Yatsumura.

* ComicBook/BlackPanther, at his absolute best T’Challa is this. Yes, he has faltered e.g being a isolationist and divorcing his wife ComicBook/{{Storm}} over the actions of other mutants who hurt Wakanda and T’Challa is fully aware of his faults, but he’s still a man who will do anything for his beloved people and will extend his hand to others outside his country when he can. This is epitomised when he’s the one to wield the Infinity Gauntlet in ''ComicBook/SecretWars2015'' with Namor himself admitting compared to T’Challa he is definitely not worthy of wielding such power. Or the time he punched Mephisto in the face.

* ''ComicBook/HawkAndDove'': Both the original Dove and the legacy hero are so pure that in ''ComicBook/BlackestNight'' they are the only heroes who cannot be corrupted by the black rings.

** Jiminy Cricket agrees to the Blue Fairy to be Pinocchio's conscience for said puppet to learn right from wrong, such as keeping him ffrom joining Stromboli's show. He is even devastated when believing that Pinocchio has drowned after escaping Monstro.
** Cinderella is sweet to her animal friends, such as caring for a family of mice and protecting them from the stepmother's cat Lucifer. She also makes the story lighthearted (despite being a genrrally serious person) such as being very forgiving, kind and cautious like forgiving Anastasia, which lets the two turn the Fairy Godmother back to normal.
** Prince Philip stands out as the only hero among heroes like Princess Aurora and the Three Good Fairies, by being incorruptible and passing the admirable standard thanks to him being very forgiving and cautious such as when he first meets Aurora, udner the name "Briar Rose". Hhim breaking the curse means more than saving Aurora from her death-like sleep, it also means freeing the entire kingdom from an indefinte slumber.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Wakfu}}'''s main character [[CheerfulChild Yugo]] is this in spades. In fact, the episode "Remington Smisse" shows that he's ''literally'' incorruptable, as in he's so pure that the [[SealedEvilInACan Shushu]] [[OurDemonsAreDifferent Shadowfang]] is incappable of [[CastingAShadow stealing his shadow]] and turning him into a ghoul.

In Volume 6, Maria reiterates this sentiment, warning the heroes that a Huntress is supposed to fight to the bitter end to protect the people, and to never give up; although a living legend, she regards herself as a failure because an assassination attempt left her so frightened, she spent the rest of her life in hiding, protecting herself instead of the people. In Volume 7, Ozpin reflects on the enormous power fear has to corrupt even the best from their paths. Despite this, Blake admits Ruby is her symbol of purity who restored her faith in the world, Ozpin tells Oscar that she possesses an "[[TheParagon indefinable quality]]" that [[HopeBringer inspires others]] even in the darkest times, and [[BigBad Salem]] admits she wants to [[HopeCrusher tear down Ruby]] just to [[DespairGambit crush Ozpin's faith in humanity]].

** At one point Sam has the Ring all to himself, and the Ring gives him visions of becoming a mighty lord, overthrowing Sauron, and transforming Mordor from a wasteland to a gigantic garden. But Sam rejects this because he only wants to tend a garden on his own, not to lord it over others (and have them do the gardening), and when tempted to simply have a ginormous garden to himself, [[NoSell he simply shrugs it off]] under the reasoning that he wouldn't be able to tend a garden that big.

** Frodo is given the task of delivering the Ring to Mount Doom [[ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman specifically because of this trait,]] but he actually turns out to be a deconstruction. Not only is the constant process of resisting the Ring's influence an enormous psychological and even physical burden on him, [[spoiler:he eventually succumbs to its lure after lugging it all the way across Middle-earth to Mount Doom. No one, not even Frodo, is that pure. In Frodo's defense, he finally gave in to the temptations of the Ring only after bringing it to the single-most evil place in all of Middle-earth, which was so evil that even the Phial of Galadriel (which explicitly has the ability to shine where all other lights go out) stopped working]].
** Bilbo himself was tempted by the Ring for a short time when Frodo arrived at Rivendell, but like the others, he was able to shrug it off quickly, though he did ask that Frodo never show him the ring again. This is more significant than the other examples on this page, as Bilbo was in possession of the Ring for ''sixty years'' and was still able to resist it as readily as the others. Bilbo also remains the only person aside from Sam known to have possessed the Ring and willingly given it up.

* ''Anime/{{Monster}}'': Dr. Kenzo Tenma. No matter how complicated things get, he retains his idealistic views on humanity. He is one part of the morality triangle in which Johan has given in to completely evil, and Nina dives into GreyAndGrayMorality for all that it's worth.

** ''Manga/PhantomBlood'': Raised as a gentleman during the Victorian Era of England, Jonathan Joestar is an all-around NiceGuy that takes chivalry very seriously. Cue [[BigBad Dio Brando]], who makes his life miserable. Initially, he suffered in silence and didn't retaliate, until Dio forcefully kissed his girlfriend Erina. Jonathan fights for her honor, but [[ItsPersonal living in Dio's shadow was also no longer an option]]. Improving his fighting prowess, he later became a MartialPacifist that showed courtesy to many, even going so far as to ''speak politely to his enemies''. Instead of celebrating his third victory against Dio, Jonathan ''[[TearsOfRemorse sheds tears for him]]'' as he seemingly dies. [[spoiler:Later on, Dio returns and fatally injures him. Several other people's final words for a monster like Dio would be hateful, but not Jonathan's. He mentions how they had such a bizarre friendship, accepting his fate. He tells his wife Erina to live happily and [[PeacefulInDeath dies with a smile]]]]. Although Jonathan's descendants that were also nicknamed "[=JoJo=]" inherited his heroic will, [[GoodIsNotNice they definitely didn't inherit his pureness]].
** Robert E. O. Speedwagon appeared not only in this chapter, but also in '''Battle Tendency'': he has a sense of honor and has only robbed scumbags as a thug, but he is deeply moved upon hearing Jonathan's reasons while the latter is attacked by thugs, and that makes him a better person as he stops attacking Jonathan. He even makes up for it by helping him and his family, losing any corrupting qualities he may have, as his life and actions as a thug are offscreen villainy.
** ''Manga/StardustCrusaders'': Jonathan's great-granddaughter Holly Kujo is just as pure as he is, if not more so. She is very gentle, child-like, and isn't a fighter by any means. Not long along her son Jotaro awakens Star Platinum, she also develops a [[FightingSpirit Stand]]. Her peaceful nature, along with her lack of mental strength to control her Stand, caused her to catch an illness that would kill her in 50 days. This is why Jotaro and her father [[Manga/BattleTendency Joseph]] go on their journey to save her life.
** ''Manga/DiamondIsUnbreakable'': Tonio Trussardi is also this. Admittedly, the presentation of his Stand Music/PearlJam looked incredibly graphic and gory, making Josuke [[GoodIsNotNice assume he was up to something nefarious]], but it's only a temporary side effect that results about 5 seconds later of the person ingesting Pearl Jam being healed of any ailments they previously had. Really, so long as [[BerserkButton you don't make a mess of his kitchen]], Tonio is a sweet, honest man who just wants to make quality food for people and cure their ailments. The (non-canon) light novel ''Literature/PurpleHazeFeedback'' also implies that he [[spoiler:moved to Morioh because [[DisinheritedChild his family disowned him for not appreciating his line of work]]]].

** Same with his good friend ComicBook/{{Nightcrawler}}, a deeply religious and good mutant who looks like a demon, who actually attempted to become a priest, and when faced with a DealWithTheDevil punched said devil in the face. He even makes friends with the incredibly [[AntiHero anti-heroic]] ComicBook/{{Wolverine}}.

** Flik from the film ''WesternAnimation/ABugsLife'' is an example of this, and you can always count on him to act selflessly and do the right thing. His nemesis Hopper contrasts this by being extremely vile, though he's decent enough to honor a promise that he made with his mother.

** Bigweld uses his company Bigweld Industries to inspire others to make a change with inventions, to make them believe in themselves, and preaches positive messages throughout the Bigweld Show. Even though said company has his name on it, he never expresses arrogance or egotism. He tells Rodney that he wants to grow up to be just like him after [[spoiler: being jaded and telling him to give up on his dreams after retiring from his company when Ratchet mad it more profitable, and his regain of optimism is a sign of him ending his heating-up period and helping Rodney take a stand against Ratchet for his plans against outmodes]]. In the end, not only does he help Herb, he also gives Diesel a voice box, finally letting him speak.

** Monkey D. Luffy is mostly this while he doesn’t see himself as a hero (and adamantly states he isn’t one) Luffy is still innocent and carefree. He never actually does anything out of malice either because of his moral values or his naïveté. He is unable to feel temptation or lust as Hancock's beauty has no effect on him, also in ''Manga/CrossEpoch'' Luffy is shown being able to ride the Flying Nimbus meaning he is truly pure of heart.

* ''Franchise/Five Nights at Freddy's:Glamrock Freddy is the titular mascot of the Pizzaplex, alongside his band of Glamrock animatronics featuring Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator and Roxanne Wolf. But when Vanny entered, she corrupted most of the animatronics in the restaurant yet Glamrock Freddy managed to resist. When he returned to his room, he found Gregory hiding within his chest compartment. While surprised at first, after hearing him out Glamrock Freddy agreed to help him escape the Pizzaplex.

Throughout the game, Glamrock Freddy guides Gregory in every way he can, giving him the Faz-Watch so the two can communicate and stacking a pile of boxes to help him reach the vent. All the while, he has to work against his own friends, whom are being forced to hunt down Gregory. Glamrock Freddy begins to show his selfless and altruistic personality, thinking of nothing but his concern towards Gregory's safety and apologizing when things don't go Gregory's way even if it isn't his fault.

Suddenly, Glamrock Freddy ended up getting severely damaged and Vanessa threatened to scrap him and rebrand the Glamrock Freddy character with another endoskeleton, refusing to repair him. Gregory had to decomission the other Glamrocks to take away their parts (Glamrock Chica's voicebox, Montgomery's fists and Roxanne's eyes) in order to repair Glamrock Freddy, who was reluctant to take the upgrades due to being for his friends until Gregory lied to him, and he was willing to accept.

Once 6AM hits, Glamrock Freddy gives Gregory a choice, to leave the Pizzaplex by himself (resulting in him being revealed to be homeless), leave alongside him or solve the mystery of Vanny. There you're given multiple endings which determine Glamrock Freddy's fate in some endings he sacrifices his own life for Gregory's safety, or in others he follows him to live a new life in the outside world with Gregory (alongside a freed Vanny in the Savior ending). In the Real Ending, Glamrock Freddy is possessed by William Afton (who STILL won't stay dead for good) under the new name Burntrap and warns Gregory that he is not himself, and he will end up killing him if he gets too close. After beating Burntrap, Glamrock Freddy sets the restaurant on fire and escapes with Gregory.
** Fnaf World has Toy Chica,When using Chica, you will want to spam Cupcake as much as possible, and only use Party Favors when your team is at full health, or at least near it. Cupcakes will be your main method of healing during the early to mid and even sometimes late game, and only really gets replaced by Gift Boxes and Healing Jam 2. At first this might make Chica appear to be one of the best most important characters in the game until you realize that Party Favors and Regen Song simply aren't worth having, and that other starting characters like Bonnie and Toy Chica have better abilities while also having healing abilities that fill the same role as Cupcakes.

Party Favors Causes very minor damage to your enemies while only slightly healing your allies. In the very early game this healing is surprisingly good, however once you get only a few extra levels higher, the small amount of healing becomes useless as your team simply has too much health and enemies hit too hard to really justify using it. In the end you will most likely be spamming Cupcakes. Party Favors simply gets outclassed by any attack that deals damage in the game, especially since Cupcakes is much better at healing, there is never a reason to justify taking Party Favors over Cupcakes for healing, or for any other attack for damage.

As for Regen Song, on paper it sounds amazing, healing constantly over time actually is great, however the amount you actually heal quickly becomes useless once you make a little progress in the game. The enemies you face will deal much more damage then Regen Song will ever heal, since it only heals around 15-30 hp, on average 20-25, every 5-7 seconds or so. While enemies will be attacking for about 60 to 80 damage and will be attacking in groups of up to 4 at around the same interval, out damaging the healing and usually causing enough damage that a Cupcakes is required to keep a team member alive, or that Regen song simply wont heal enough and Cupcakes will still be required either way. Regen song becomes very reliant on defensive buffs and stuns to allow your team to out heal the damage the enemy team dishes out, however if you ever find yourself in this scenario, where you are out healing the damage your enemies are dealing, you should instead simply attack until they bring your team to around half hp and simply use Cupcake to heal all the damage taken, since the enemy mean will have no means of quickly finishing off your characters and you can safely use Cupcakes to keep them alive.

Chica is a character that gets quickly outclassed by any character, Bonnie's higher damage with other attacks while using Happy Jam the heal the team is simply better then Chica's Regen Song and Party Favors, while Toy Chica's Birthday and Waterhose do a better job supporting the team compared to Party Favors and Regen Song. As such Chica should be replaced by basically any other animatronic in the game for either extra damage, buffs, or better healing abilities in the late game, such as Gift boxes and Happy Jam 2.

* Gardevoir is very protective of its Trainer and if needed will risk its own life or create a small black hole that prevents harm before the black hole ceases to exist shortly after; this however causes Gardevoir to lose all of it's psychic power for a undetermined amount of time. Due to Gardevoir's impressive psychic power, they can also see into the future, can make it to where they don't feel the force of gravity and ultimately distort dimensions if needed.

** ''VideoGame/DoomEternal'': His unwavering will to purge demon-kind [[spoiler:invalidates his sovereignty, alienates him from his blood brothers, ''destroys Heaven'', and causes a cult of personality to form out of the broken survivors of mankind]]. At no point does he attempt to justify or regret his actions; if it has nothing to do with demons, killing demons, or cute furry animals, he doesn't care.

* Wrestling/{{Sting}}. He ''has'' been a heel a few times, but he came across as a DesignatedVillain and fans still cheered him anyway. And when he did turn face again, it would be revealed that he was GoodAllAlong.

* ''Literature/KyoKaraMaoh'': Shibuya Yuuri starts out pretty decent, kind of dumb, and nearly flat useless. Once SeriousBusiness in fantasyland shakes a few layers of normality off him, he starts to [[WideEyedIdealist be determined to save everyone and prevent war no matter what]], and before long becomes so shiningly all-fired good that [[HundredPercentAdorationRating people can come around to his way of thinking within five minutes of exposure]], and he's making a fair bid to forever overset politics as fantasyland has known them. In the Season 2 climax the BigBad [[EvilPlan reveals]] [[spoiler:that he was expressly designed to be utterly pure and so average he's not good for anything, to make good possession fodder]]. Then he [[spoiler:turns out to be the Messiah]]. That was the ''other'' {{plan}}.

In fantasy stories, this might allow the hero access to [[HolyHandGrenade holy weapons]] or magic for OnlyThePureOfHeart. Might lead to a HundredPercentAdorationRating or HundredPercentHeroismRating. Be wary that they might be TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth. Also very likely to be a CelibateHero.

Dark magic can only [[MoreThanMindControl heighten negative emotions one already has and can't make someone feel what they don't want to.]] Because Catarina literally has no negative emotions in her, attempts to use those powers on her are doomed to fail.

** In ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'', A rather extreme example of this is [[JeanneDArchetype Jeanne D'Arc]] from ''LightNovel/FateApocrypha''. It is said that she's so holy, any attempt to copy her is fated to fail because the copy is notably a downgrade to her true martyr spirit. [[EvilKnockoff Jeanne Alter]] is the result of such an attempt, and her personality is so horribly mangled compared to the real Jeanne that many of her allies feel compelled to comment on it during the Orleans chapter. Dantes later attempts to provoke her the old fashioned way, and that too fails because Jeanne is just too nice to be angered. In her NP rank-up interlude, Mephistopheles tries to corrupt her through a test. It doesn't work either. Her third interlude reveals all past three interludes have been Jeanne Alter's attempts to find any darkness in Jeanne, and the best she found is Jeanne would rather not be burned at the stake (a rather mundane thing most anyone would want to avoid).
