* The second hard copy collection of ''Webcomic/{{Bandette}}'' includes notes on which actors inspired certain characters: for example, Bandette is a blend of Creator/AudreyHepburn and Creator/AudreyTautou, Monsieur is an older Creator/CaryGrant, and Il Tredici is a blend of Creator/LeeMarvin and Creator/HenryFonda in ''Film/OnceUponATimeInTheWest''.

* Whether intentional or not is unknown, but Natla in the original ''VideoGame/TombRaiderI'' game bears more than a passing resemblance to then-singer Victoria Adams (now better-known as socialite and fashion designer Victoria Beckham)

** Creator/LanceParkin has an acknowledged tendency toward fantasy-casting his characters; in particular, Creator/IanRichardson gets a lot of "roles" in Parkin novels, most obviously in the Literature/DoctorWhoNewAdventures novel ''The Dying Days'', where scheming politician Lord Edward Greyhaven is quite close to his iconic role in ''Series/HouseOfCardsUK''. (Ironically, Parkin attempted to include a cameo by the 42nd Doctor [see Fanfic] in ''The Dying Days'', but it was cut. He does, however, appear in the ''Franchise/BerniceSummerfield'' NA ''Beige Planet Mars'').

** Cornell has also said he saw Franchise/BerniceSummerfield played by Creator/EmmaThompson (specifically, she's based on the character of Kate from ''Film/TheTallGuy''). This gets {{Lampshaded}} in ''The Dying Days'', where she's mistaken for Thompson, and the short story "Digging Up the Past" by Mark Michalowski in ''The Dead Men Diaries'', in which she says she'd like to be played by a CGI Thompson in a docudrama.

** ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'': Sokka's sword-fighting master Piandao looks quite a lot like Sifu Kisu, a man who works on the show as a martial arts consultant.

* Joe's partner, Crunchy, from ''ComicStrip/JumpStart'' was clearly based on Creator/EdwardAsner. He even has the personality of the types of characters Asner has a tendency to play, having a gruff exterior with a HiddenHeartOfGold.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'': Edna Mode was modeled on Creator/LindaHunt.

* Lord Farquad in ''WesternAnimation/{{Shrek}}'' was modeled on Michael Eisner, as a TakeThat from his former partner Jeffrey Katzenberg.

* ’’WesternAnimation/StrangeWorld’’ The Clade men are based on action hero archetypes of past and present. Jeager is very much Creator/KurtRussell from Film/TheHatefulEight. Searcher’s beard and bulbous nose are borrowed from Creator/JohnKrasinski.

* ''VideoGame/SpiderManPS4'' sees its Peter resemble a cross of [[Film/SpiderManTrilogy live]]-[[Film/TheAmazingSpiderManSeries action]] [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse Spider-Men]] Creator/TobeyMaguire, Creator/AndrewGarfield, and Creator/TomHolland (with the [=PS4=] version leaning closer to Garfield and the [=PS5=] version making him look closer to Holland) and Mary Jane resemble Creator/KirstenDunst. Norman Osborn resembles a cross between Creator/WillemDafoe, Creator/ChrisCooper, and an InkSuitActor of his voice actor, Creator/MarkRolston.

* Rex Mundi, the co-hero of Creator/RobertRankin's ''Armageddon'' trilogy, is repeatedly described as looking like a young Creator/HarrisonFord. The third book in the trilogy finishes with "credits" (including actors who at the time of publication were obviously far too old for the characters (or, in the case of Creato/OrsonWelles, too dead)). It also has a bunch of minor characters ''arguing'' over which film star they resemble as they [[NoFourthWall fight to get more page space]]. Note that Rex's co-hero is a time-travelling Music/ElvisPresley.

** On the topic of Franchise/{{Nasuverse}}, Lord El-Melloi II/Waver Velvet's [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/typemoon/images/b/b9/Melloi2.png appearance]] post-''LightNovel/FateZero'' bears a striking resemblance to [[Film/HarryPotter Severus Snape]] as portrayed by Creator/AlanRickman. Sometimes it's a case of DependingOnTheArtist due to Takashi Takeuchi's ArtEvolution.

* Doctor Reichwein in ''Manga/{{Monster}}'' bears a strong resemblance to American actor Creator/WilfordBrimley. Oddly, this is actually due to Creator/NaokiUrasawa's unrepentant Creator/OsamuTezuka fandom. Reichwein was modelled on Brimley because he was the closest RealLife actor to Tezuka's famed [[ReusedCharacterDesign "Mr. Mustachio" character]]. Still, any WebVideo/AMVHell clip of the character will include the [[StupidStatementDanceMix dance remix]] of "You know, I have [[MemeticMutation diabeetus]]..."

* Recently, it has been [[https://twitter.com/KonoRobu/status/1231260128571273216 pointed out]] that actor Bjorn Andrésen as he appeared in ''Film/DeathInVenice'' was a major influence of Main/{{Bishonen}} characters in TheSeventies (and beyond) on manga such as Gilbert Cocteau from ''Manga/KazeToKiNoUta'', Reinhard von Lohengramm from ''Literature/LegendOfTheGalacticHeroes'', Griffith from ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'', and Oscar from ''Manga/TheRoseOfVersailles'', among others. Some even pointed out that [[Franchise/{{Gundam}} Char Aznable]] bears a resemblance to Andrésen.

** Annie from "Growing Pains" was modeled after Natalie Portman in ''Film/TheProfessional''

* ''[[Fanfic/AbraxasHrodvitnon Abraxas]]'': The [[{{Kaiju}} Kaiju/Titans]] are able to communicate with each other and with the [[{{Metamorphosis}} transformed]] Vivienne Graham and the author has described what the voices of Ichi, Ni and Godzilla sound like [[https://hrodvitnon.tumblr.com/post/623720240777412608 here]]. She's also [[https://hrodvitnon.tumblr.com/post/623945202392055808/ toyed with]] potential voice claims for Thor, Mothra, and Rodan, and has stated Monster X's (San and Vivienne) voice in its first form sounds like the Gravemind's in ''Franchise/{{Halo}}''.

* ''Laser Squad'' is guilty of this in the IBM PC version. The cutscenes exclusive to this version use trace-overs of various scenes and/or characters from ''Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack'' for the Rebel Star team in the first level and the cyborgs in the second, while the team member portraits use various 1980s movie actors as facial sources -- Lorenzo Lamas, Creator/MichaelBiehn, Creator/AlecBaldwin, Creator/RutgerHauer, Creator/MichaelIronside, Creator/JohnHollis (who makes up the entire enemy squad in the second mission) and, surprisingly standing out from the rest of the list, Creator/ErrolFlynn. In a bit of HilariousInHindsight, there are also people looking like Creator/AdamBaldwin and Creator/VinDiesel as Riddick as he appears in the BatmanColdOpen of ''Film/TheChroniclesOfRiddick''.

* Speaking of Naughty Dog: Ellie from ''VideoGame/TheLastOfUs'' looks a ''lot'' like Creator/ElliotPage. The character design has since been modified to look a little younger and better resemble voice actress Creator/AshleyJohnson, though the resemblance did not go unnoticed by Page, who said he was "not pleased" at Ellie's close resemblance to him, mainly since [[InkSuitActor his image IS being used]] for the game ''VideoGame/BeyondTwoSouls''.

* ''VideoGame/PokemonXAndY'': Diantha was clearly based on Creator/AudreyHepburn, down to being an actress.

* The main characters in ''ComicStrip/ApartmentThreeG'' were all based on actresses who were popular when the strip came out: Margo is Creator/JoanCollins, Tommie is Creator/LucilleBall, and Lu Ann is Tuesday Weld. ** In ''WesternAnimation/SupermanTheAnimatedSeries'', Lex Luthor was based on Creator/TellySavalas and Metallo seems to have been based on Creator/JamesCoburn, while Dan "Terrible" Turpin is modeled after his creator, Creator/JackKirby. Likely because Season 2 started airing in 1997, the same year as the ''Film/{{Steel}}'' movie, the show's version of John Henry Irons was designed to look like Shaquille O'Neal, who played Irons in the movie.

* Balrog / Boxer in ''VideoGame/StreetFighterII'' is very clearly based on Creator/MikeTyson, which is especially obvious in his character portraits. The resemblance lessened in subsequent games, likely to avoid any potential legal issues.
