* ''Chapter 95.'' The whole of Riza's dialogue is this, as is Roy's reaction. Also a Crowning Moment because in all of the anime and all of the manga, there has never been a kiss or any sort of [[WillTheyOrWontThey declaration of coupledom]] for these two. But that moment, that exchange, makes it clearer than water anyway that they are indeed together and love each other [[spoiler: It helps that they were confirmed to be canon in the third art book.]]

* Father's sole [[PetTheDog pet the dog moment in the "present"]] is how joyful he was to learn that Van Hohenheim had a family.

* Meta: It was nice to hear everyone from the old series back for the new one. Especially in the English Dub. They even managed to bring back Aaron Dismuke (Al from the 2003 anime, who got too old to play him again) and they had him play a young Hohenheim. Even if he can't play one important Elric boy, you can be damn sure he can play an Elric who is just as important to the story.

* Wrath reuniting with Izumi in death in the movie. The content, serene look on his face as he walks into her open arms says it all.
* The ''Kids'' OVA. [[spoiler:"In 2005, Edward Elric will be 100 years old... somewhere in our world..."]]
* Winry hugging Ed after briefly reuniting with him in ''Conqueror of Shamballa''.
* In "The Stray Dog" it looks like Roy has gone all InspectorJavert, hunting Ed and Al down for the military on accusations of treason. When he finally corners them, though:

Once it's dark out, Winry flashes a light from the house so that Ed and Al can find their way home -- something that Trisha would do during the boys' childhood -- and Al happily waves to her before breaking into a run.
* In the movie, right at the end, when we see [[spoiler:Al deciding to follow Edward to the other side of the Gate and stay with him]]. His smile when he shows up, Edward's face upon seeing him -- it's suffice to say it never fails to procure some odd mist into my eyes...
** There's also the first time Al crosses the Gate and reunites with Ed. Al is initially shocked to see him (as is Ed, who notices that the suit of armor across from him is actually alive) and whispers "Brother?..." Cue an ecstatic Al bursting out of the pile of armor with Ed in his arms, nuzzling his brother out of sheer relief and joy. It's downright adorable.
* There's a scene early on where an exhausted Ed and Al are sleeping back to back on the floor in a room. Al's taken all the blankets, and Ed's covered himself with his jacket rather than take them back, despite Al needing neither blankets or even sleep.
* Izumi's fierce protectiveness of Wrath.
* Elicia cheering Winry up while she's at her birthday party. Shortly afterwards, Winry is comforted by Hughes as well when she reveals her insecurities to him. He assures her that Ed and Al ''do'' care, they just have trouble expressing themselves.
** Beforehand, Hughes clearly notices that Winry is upset when she storms out of Ed and Al's hospital room. After introducing himself, he wastes no time in distracting Winry with talk about Elicia's birthday.
* The fact that Ed doesn't get angry at Nina for calling him "little big brother."
** The Elric brothers' relationship with Nina in general, especially when they're making snow angels, which leads to Nina admitting she's lonely with just her father.
* Al's overjoyed reaction to seeing that Hohenheim has finally returned home. Upon racing over to his father, however, Al's excitement fades as he realizes that Hohenheim probably doesn't recognize him due to the armor. He starts to awkwardly explain, but Hohenheim merely grins warmly and says that Al has certainly gotten tall.
* Sloth immediately hugging Wrath in Episode 45 when Rose's baby triggers his traumatic memories of the Gate.
* The birth of Elicia Hughes after the Elrics and Nina help to deliver her.

* A very interesting Meta Example: At Anime Weekend Atlanta 2010, one of the panels had Voice Actors Creator/VicMignogna, Creator/TravisWillingham, and Creator/LauraBailey behind a curtain, and several of the characters each of them had played on screen (one of whom was Vic Mignogna as Edward Elric). You were allowed to come up and ask a character a question, and the voice actor would answer it as that character. One fan asked Ed (Vic) if he could sing 'Happy Birthday' for her. After he was done, Tohru (Manga/FruitsBasket) compliments Ed on his singing voice, then says, "I think you're the perfect height." The whole auditorium went ''Awwwww.'' * WordOfGod says that when Bradley and his wife were dating, he asked Lust and Envy for advice. While both their advice wasn't particularly helpful, it's nice to hear that the Homunculi were willing to help each other with something that has nothing to do with their plans [[TrueCompanions like a real family]].
* In a cutscene in one of the video games, Hawkeye drops a photo out of her wallet. Cue zoom in to reveal it's a candid of the rest of [[TrueCompanions Team Mustang.]]

* In the gaiden ''[[http://mangasaurus.com/view/37934-01087022 His Battlefield Once More]]'' (the one the OVA ''Yet Another Man's Battlefield'' is partially based off of), Mustang dreams of his time in Ishval, only to be waken up by his team. He then asks them what they would do if he ordered them to take the lives of thousands of civilians. Their response:

* Episode 18 of ''Brotherhood'' (or Chapter 41). After a series of things going bad: [[spoiler:Hughes died]], [[spoiler:King Bradley is really a villain]], [[spoiler:Ed and Al blame themselves for Hughes' death]], and now [[spoiler:Mustang went crazy with revenge and killed Ross]]. So it was a nice moment where we finally catch a break from the depression and get so see that [[spoiler: Mustang actually had a Gambit to have Ross FakingTheDead]].

Despite being a dark series that has both [[TearJerker/FullmetalAlchemist Tear Jerker]] and [[NightmareFuel/FullmetalAlchemist Nightmare Fuel]] pages, the characters' hope and determination toward to achieve victory have lead to a lot of heartwarming moments, and so much that it became a first Anime/Manga series that needed a separate page for all the warm moments.

* When Winry finds out who killed her parents in the manga and is confronted with him, she somewhat loses it, takes up a gun and points it at him. He tells Winry that she has all the right in the world to shoot him, but the minute she does that, she is his enemy. Edward is panicking, because this is [[spoiler:''Scar'']] we're talking about, and you ''don't'' want to be his enemy. He yells at Winry to drop the gun, but she is frozen and instead, [[spoiler:Scar]] leaps at her to take her down since she's this close to pulling the trigger... cue Ed jumping in front of her, protecting her with his body. After [[spoiler:Scar]] takes off, Winry still can't let go of the gun, and Ed has to bend it from her fingers. Then he tells her: "Winry, do you remember when you saved a mother and her child in Rush Valley? Do you remember that you gave me these arm and leg so that can stand on my own again? Your hands are not for killing. They are the hands that save people's lives. So please... don't...." [[http://video.adultswim.com/fullmetal-alchemist-brotherhood/healing-hands.html Winry promptly breaks down and cries in Ed's arms.]] Doubles as a TearJerker.

* It's really, really minor, but when Al regains his memory of the Gate in Chapter 30, in the middle of the images that make up the flow of information behind the Gate, there's a small picture of Hoheinheim holding baby Al in his arms and playing with his little foot. ''D'awwww.''

* Al's overjoyed reaction to seeing that Hohenheim has finally returned home. Upon racing over to his father, however, Al's excitement fades as he realizes that Hohenheim probably doesn't recognize him due to the armor. He starts to awkwardly explain, but Hohenheim merely grins warmly and says that Al has certainly gotten tall. D'awww.

* A combination of SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming|Moments}} and TearJerker: Two years after recovering their bodies, the Elric brothers begin to conduct research on how to return chimeras back to their original forms. They never forgot little Nina or their failure to save her from being forcibly turned into a chimera by her [[AbusiveParents Abusive Father]] and subsequent death, and they want to ensure that nobody has to suffer like she did again.

** In an odd way, Truth [[spoiler: taking Roy's sight instead of his eyes is heartwarming. Why did Truth do that? Because Roy didn't willingly performing human transmutation or play God, so Truth most likely felt that he didn't deserve a punishment on the same level as the other characters.]]

** A small one in between this: [[spoiler:When Edward leapt in front of Winry with his arms spread to protect her, Scar was reminded of a similar scene during the Ishbalan Civil War when his brother did the same for him. Because of that, he couldn't kill them at that moment.]]
** Immediately after this, Winry takes a phone call from Garfiel and her regular customers in Rush Valley. The outpour of enthusiasm, love, and validation leaves you feeling all kinds of positive emotions.

*** And the second anime went and added more of this than even the manga had, via an extension of a scene with Roy. In the manga, he wasn't really doing much when [[spoiler:Dr. Marcoh]] came to see him about [[spoiler:using a Philosopher's Stone to restore his eyesight]]. In ''Brotherhood'', he was studying up on administrative trivia so he could help the Ishbalans rebuild. And when [[spoiler:Marcoh]] made his offer, his reply was basically, "Sure, but [[spoiler:only if you [[TheMenFirst treat someone else with it first]]]]." Cut to Havoc answering the phone: "What?! You want me to come to Central?!" An adorable CallBack if ever there was one.

* [[spoiler: Hohenheim returning to Trish's grave after the battle is over and dying with a smile on his face. After centuries of wallowing in self-pity, its nice to see him happy in his final moments. What's more his grave is set next to his beloved wife as well.]]

* This one is a real life example between voice actor and seiyuu. Hard to imagine that Creator/VicMignogna has his share of flamers after watching [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOrpFLetvrU this]]. Bonus points for the SugarWiki/FunnyMoments near the end - Romi is requested to say the infamous "Dead sexy in a miniskirt" con line in Japanese!

* Episode 51 of ''Brotherhood''. Heinkel is seriously hurt and Alphonse is trying to drag him away while being cornered by Pride ''and'' Kimbley. It's heartwarming when Heinkel almost ''begs'' to be left behind so Al can get away, but Al says he will not leave him because he and Ed had made a promise of "not losing anyone anymore". Then it gets ''another'' moment of heartwarming when Heinkel reveals he has the Philosopher's Stone Kimbley had lost back in Briggs. Alphonse is hesitant in using the stone made of human lives, even if using it meant recovering his real body...

** "You've done it! ''That's the right answer!'' Good job, You've beat me! Go ahead, Take him home! The back door's right over there! ''Goodbye'', Edward Elric!" in a combined VoiceOfTheLegion of both Elric Brothers - a borderline SoProudOfYou speech coming from ''The Truth'', who's obviously overjoyed and proud that ''someone'' managed to understand the ultimate life lesson.

* From the final volume of the published books, [[TheStinger one last scene]] after the gag comics - the manga's equivalent of "post-credits". [[spoiler:Trisha and Hohenheim are reunited at last.]]
