** Lots of fans also intepreted his interactions with Shaw (Listed below) as this, doubly so after the artbook, ''Exploring Azeroth: The Eastern Kingdoms'', uses the two of them as a framing device, showing their travels across the Eastern Kingdoms after Battle for Azaroth. This ends up being entirely intentional, and the two receive a RelationshipUpgrade in the ''Shadows Rising'' novel.

* MuggleBornOfMages: Implied. A pair of gossips by the hedge maze at Proudmore Keep can be heard disparaging Brannon as worthless for being "A Stormsong who can't even call the seas" Which works to his benefit, since it saves him from the whispers that affect his uncle.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He's the Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras and Grand Admiral of the Alliance Navy, and in the third game at least, he's by far the most powerful of the Kul Tiran forces.

* BodyguardingABadass: Downplayed with the Elite Guard. Individually they are much weaker than his boss The Admiral Proudmoore, but they are still tough warriors who can keep waves of enemies at bay.
* BossInMookClothing:
** Admiral's Elite Guards, they look almost the same as the standard footmen, but are much stronger than a knight or a tauren.
** Captain Thornby in the second act of Rexxar's campaign. He looks like an ordinary human Captain, but he is strong enough to give your Hero party a challenge, if they don't have a high Level.
* EliteMook: Although the entire army can count due to being humans with increased stats, they have their own elite in the form of Admiral's Elite Guard, who can kill a Tauren in seconds.
* PraetorianGuard: Admiral's Elite Guard, the Chief Petty Officer and the Chief of Chaplains.
* PurposefullyOverpowered: The Kul'tiras forces are thought to be a threat to Rexxar and his party who at this point are high level heroes, all with outrageously powerful items, thus having much higher stats than standard human units.
* WolfPackBoss: As Rexxar and his group try to escape from Theramore they end up facing a Paladin, an Archmage and a Mountain King at the same time.
