I wouldn’t be so sure that the Lophius would not survive the Valkyria bomb. It can only be destroyed by blowing up all four of the radiators on its back, and these radiators are invulnerable behind the armor plating as long as they’re retracted. The Lophius only needs to expose the radiators after a strenuous movement such as diving. The fact that Belgar keeps moving the tank around and driving underwater is the only reason he’s vulnerable to Squad E at all. The fact that the tank can still operate after three radiators have been taken out also points to his tactical stupidity rather than the inherent fault of the design, since the boosted mortar cheese wouldn’t have worked if not for him exposing all for radiators at the same time. If he had just sat there and retracted his radiators, I figure that the external weapon turrets would be the only part lost.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: He plans to study a fantasy nuclear explosion... from about a hundred feet away. The description of his tank says that he built it to withstand an explosion of that magnitude, but judging from the fact that a single powered up mortar shell can destroy his tank, it is safe to say he failed.

* WeaksauceWeakness:
** The secret to defeating his colossal amphibious tank is to build ladders on it.
** He built his tank to be theoretically fantasy-nuke resistant without testing the weakest parts of its armor against more conventional weapons like mortar shells, anti-armor lance warheads, and plain-old rifle bullets.

* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: Forseti is an often brutal-strategist for X-0, but he does want to save the Valkyrurs who were put up to the Federation's questionable experiments. However, he has zero qualms about killing ''even more'' innocent people in the process, and he openly supports the Empire, who treats their Valkyria ''worse''. Not to mention the fact that he is perfectly willing to throw ''anyone & everyone'' under the bus just to achieve his goals, including his friends and his sister. It becomes apparent to the player and to Squad E that Forseti is far more interested in his own personal ideals and resentments rather than actually trying to help others.

* PunchClockVillain: While Walz does [[BloodKnight find a lot of enjoyment in combat]] (particularly against worthy opponents), at the end of the day he's still a soldier just doing his expected duty in fighting for his home-nation, and dislikes having to put up with the blatantly evil members of X-0.

Boobs Of Steel is no longer a trope.

* BoobsOfSteel: Zigzagged. She's extremely busty due to being a Valkyria and is incredibly powerful, but she's much less physically capable than, say, Selvaria.

* EvilIsPetty: He's offended when Claude stalls for time by fishing for details on the proposed surrender, so he withdraws the offer entirely (reasoning that it's ''technically'' past the deadline anyway), deciding to go immediately to [[KillEmAll the alternative to surrender]].

* StatuesqueStunner: Towers over most of the main cast and is about as tall as Selvaria (who's no slouch in the height department. As for the stunner part, well there's a reason why there's a number of fanservice tropes related to her.

* WorldsStrongestWoman: Crymaria may actually be the strongest Valkyrur in existence, albeit a very unstable one. In-game description states that her powers eclipse all other Valkyrur encountered thus far, even if Crymaria herself does not believe this to be the case. If Selvaria was a OneWomanArmy, Crymaria is a One Woman Natural Disaster.

* NiceHat: Her furred ushanka-style cap. Her swimsuit DLC gives her a wide-brimmed one with a pointed cap obviously meant to be a stereotypical witch's hat.

* WitchSpecies: Noticeably absent in this game is the standard Valkyrur lance and shield (unless you purchased the DLC to enable Selvaria). As if to cement her image as the 'Winter Witch', Crymaria holds a staff instead.
