Striker also starts losing more and more potentially unique traits including his status as the team's Dragon type Pokémon once Johnnycash is introduced. * EverythingIsBetterWithPenguins: Starts out as a cute little baby penguin.

* ContrastingSequelProtagonist: With Striker, the starter of the ''[=LeafGreen=]'' Nuzlocke. The two start of at the exact opposite spectrum in general Pokémon competence and popularity. Striker is a Charmander, which is widely considered the best Gen 1 Starter and as such he begins his Nuzlocke as one of the most useful members of his group. In comparison, Mr. Stake is a Chikorita, a species [[TierInducedScrappy infamous for being the worst of the Gen 2 Starters]] and likewise was treated like a joke by Tantor, who constantly tried to kill him. Near the end of both their Nuzlockes this changed, Striker became less useful, often being [[OvershadowedByAwesome overshadowed]] by Wanda, Sandrew, and Johnnycash, gets continually mocked as being "a useless/overrated fire lizard" and lacks [[TheGenericGuy a defined personality]]. In comparison, Mr. Stake becomes one of the strongest members of Tantor's group, is filled to the brim with personality, and earns the respect of everyone in his group. * TheGenericGuy: Despite being the de facto main Pokémon of the ''[=LeafGreen=]'' Nuzlocke, compared to all of his other team members, Striker doesn't have much of a real personality, and is only categorised as being a strong fire lizard that the guys consider overrated.

* BasementDweller: Thanks to a Nasty Divorce which separated him from his Wife and Son, leaving him to occupy his Mother's house.

* DotingParent: While the circumstances of his divorce mean he doesn't get to spend as much time with his son as he'd like Tantor is a caring father to Larenti. According to WordOfGod Tantor has been following since the beginning of his Pokémon journey and had to restrain himself from jumping out and comforting his son [[spoiler:after Tinkerbill's death]].

* TookALevelInKindness: He becoming more of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold in later episodes and he gains more respect for Mr. Stake as well.

!Notable members of Tantor's team

The badly battered partner of Tantor, Mr. Stake is a Chikorita turned Meganium with a penchant of head-butts, the power of [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure a Stand]] and some slight mental deficiencies. Despite his continued abusive treatment of him, Mr. Stake is Tantor's most loyal Pokémon and seems completely unaware of the hate his partner has for him.

* ButtMonkey: Poor Mr. Stake, if [[PunnyName his name]] wasn't enough indication of this, the fact that he gets continually abused by his partner's other Pokémon and Tantor constantly putting Mr. Stake in life and death situations more then any other member of his team should be.

* TheHero: Arguably fits this roll better than [[NominalHero his partner]] as Mr. Stake is the kindest member of the team and the journey of the ''[=SoulSilver=]'' Nuzlocke is almost more about him trying to gain Tantor's respect and love at times then it is about Tantor trying to be the best trainer in Johto and Kanto.

* PokemonSpeak: He actually says his nickname from Tantor (and mispronounces it) instead of his species name, to try and impress his trainer. According to WordOfGod the strain of doing this actually made his mental deficiencies worse.
* PowersDoTheFighting: By the second half of the Nuzlocke Mr. Stake seems to primarily rely on using his Stand Frenzy Plant and Giga Drain to defeat his enemies as oppose to any physical moves on his part. This actually works out in Mr. Stake's favour as it helps give credence to his innocent nature by letting his powers kill his enemies for him obliviously.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: According to WordOfGod this is how Mr. Stake's Stand, Frenzy Plant, works. Mr. Stake communes with the trees that he head-butts and becomes friends with them. Afterwards during battle his tree friends will be summoned and attack his enemies for him.
* TokenGoodTeammate: In a group filled to the brim with psychopaths, bullies and creepy {{Eldritch Abomination}}s Mr. Stake stands out as the [[NiceGuy nicest]] one of the bunch. Although by the end of the playthrough the team seems to be mostly composed of good people due to the cast's HighTurnoverRate so Mr. Stake's goodness is no longer an oddity.
* TookALevelInBadass: Goes from being the mentally retarded butt of jokes who the boys want to be killed but eventually becomes nigh-unkillable and Stand powered, earning the boys respect.

A Slowpoke, later Slobro, haunted by Tantor's memories of his sister Mara.

* EldritchAbomination: She is one, to the point of trying to break into the real world

A Zubat, later a Crobat.

* ButtMonkey: Not to the same extent as Mr. Stake but Mancrobat has the designation of being the Pokémon on Tantor's team that gets the least amount of attention despite being one of his longest surviving Pokémon. Kirran even admitted in one stream that if Mancrobat died he would not really care.

* TheGenericGuy: Probably part of the reason that Mancrobat doesn't get as much attention as the other members of Tantor's team, other than having a portal filled with the souls of those he's killed in his mouth, Mancrobat doesn't have much of a defined personality to work off of.

* AttentionWhore: Every day's his birthday, which backfires on him when the boys' insistence on giving him the glory pits him against an Arbok that quickly curbstomps him. He dies on his own birthday!

* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Destroys Pryce's Dewgong to avenge Fleecity and Dwaynedelin. Likewise his death is what causes Tantor to declare bloody war on Team Rocket (and Arboks in general).

Caught as Mareep and died as a Flaffy, Fleecity is the mangaka of ''Kuchi Mama'' and uses the Raggety Ann doll in the Manga to fight.

* EleventhHourRanger: While the guys captured Soupspoon in episode 69 they didn't add him to the party until right before the battle with the Elite Four and Lance to replace the recently deceased Coolhanndlk. Thankfully while his screen time may have been brief [[OneManArmy he more then made up for it]].

* SurprisinglySuddenDeath: No one could have expected that she would [[spoiler: die in the finale.]]

* CharacterDeath: The first casualty of the Moon Nuzlocke.

* BigFriendlyDog: She even high fives Larenti in Pokemon Refresh!

** To add insult to injury, Gaks has two ground-type moves that would have been super effective against Skuntank if Gaks had been ten levels higher. Had the couch bothered to train Gaks, the three deaths in the episode could have been avoided entirely.

The badly battered partner of Tantor Mr. Stake is a Chikorita turned Meganium with a penchant of head-butts, the power of [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure a Stand]] and some slight mental deficiencies. Despite his continued abusive treatment of him Mr. Stake is Tantor's most loyal Pokémon and seems completely unaware of the hate his partner has for him.

* ButtMonkey: Poor Mr. Stake, if [[PunnyName his name]] wasn't enough indication of this, the fact that he gets continually abused by his partners other Pokémon and Tantor is constantly putting Mr. Stake in life and death situations more then any other member of his team does.
* ContrastingSequelProtagonist: With Striker the starter of the ''[=LeafGreen=]'' Nuzlocke. The two start of at the exact opposite spectrum in general Pokémon compatance and popuarity. Striker is a Charmander which is widely considered the best Gen 1 Starter and as such he begins his Nuzlocke as one of the most useful members of his group. In comparison Mr. Stake is a Chikorita a species [[TierInducedScrappy infamous for being the worst of the Gen 2 Starters]] and likewise was treated like a joke by Tantor who constantly tried to kill him. But near the end of both their own Nuzlockes this changed, Striker became less useful, often being [[OvershadowedByAwesome overshadowed by Wanda, Sandrew, and Jonnycash]], gets continually mocked as being "a useless/overrated fire lizard" and lacks [[TheGenericGuy a defined personality]]. In comparison Mr. Stake becomes one of the strongest members of Tantor's group, is filled to the brim with personality, and earns the respect of everyone in his group. Finally Striker eventually became the DecoyProtagonist of the ''[=LeafGreen=]'' Nuzlocke while Mr. Stake remained TheHero throughout the entirety of the ''[=SoulSilver=]'' run.

* NoOneShouldSurviveThat: What cements Mr. Stake's status as a nigh unkillable demigod, he starts resisting attacks which for all intents and purposes should kill him. This includes, getting hit with a Blaze Kick from a Hitmonlee, surviving several bursts of Outrage from Lance's Garchomp and [[spoiler:surviving at 4 points of health from an ice beam from Misty's Starmie, after already undergoing the effects of confusion, snapping out of confusion, and then killing said Starmie in one shot with his Stand]].
* ObliviouslyEvil: Mr. Stake is loyal to a fault to Tantor, which means that he seems completely unaware of his partners sociopathic nature, or the fact that he's actually killing other Pokémon when he fights them. This especially becomes true once Mr. Stake [[PowersDoTheFighting lets his powers do the work for him]] as he starts draining people dry of health or crushing them with his Stand without even realising he's killing them.

* BadassDecay: Initially MC Pinchee almost always hit everyone he targeted with both Guillotine and Crab Hammer and to top things off he was an amazing rapper to boot. However after his drug use takes a nasty turn his two signature moves consistently start missing and his performance on stage follows suit.

* DrivenToSuicide: The guys theorise that Pinchee secretly wanted to die and that his eagerness to fight Blaine after his intervention was actually a way for him to get into danger due to his guilt over [[TheseHandsHaveKilled the lives he took with Guillotine]].

* SurvivorsGuilt: The guys theorise that the reason for Pinchee's BadassDecay is that he felt guilty about Budge's death to Lt. Surge and his helplessness in being unable to help his friend contributed to his eventually rampant drug abuse.

* HeterosexualLifePartners: Formed a musical duo with Pinchee. Luke dies a couple of episodes after Pinchee and reforms their musical duo in the afterlife.

Sito lost his position to Maggie and becoming eventually became the DecoyProtagonist of the ''[=Moon=]'' like Striker [[spoiler: or at least after surprised dead of Maggie in the finale, he back with his status of TheHero]]
