A mashup of ancient Greece and Rome, with the curiosity and scientific advancement of the former and the militaristic expansionism of the latter. Generally logical, straightforward, and blunt.

The skunk society is very loosely based on ancient Persia and other Middle Eastern cultures. Entirely matriarchal, somewhat like radical Islam in reverse, skunk females take charge of protecting, feeding, and providing for their families, while the males are prized for breeding, have few individual rights, and lead humble (albeit pleasant) lives as second-class citizens.

Wandering packs loosely based on Romani and nomadic tribes, the wolves are highly social and stress the importance of community. They are born explorers and have a fascination with astronomy: stars, planets, and other heavenly bodies.

A society in which almost everyone is a mage, run by a {{Magocracy}} and highly invested in the spiritual, mystical, and occult. Ferrets are very open-minded, but can also tend to be overly nervous or paranoid.

The raccoons are a total mystery to everyone, having withdrawn almost entirely into themselves. Secrecy and mystery are the cornerstones of racoon life, to the point where they refuse to speak the names of two of their Gods to outsiders, and only reveal their true names as a sign of utmost trust and intimacy.

A crossbred species of half-wolves, half-foxes. Since crossbreeding is considered one of the ultimate taboos in the series, wolfoxes are generally treated as second-class citizens at best. Wolfoxes tend to travel in groups for their own protection, since their numbers are so few and they're at such a risk for persecution. Much of their culture is based around music, dance, and the mental arts, with quite a few of them being gifted mages.
