* MurderIsTheBestSolution: During infiltration of the Dreamers and while Iden is talking with the Mentor (Aka [[spoiler:Lux Bonteri]]), Gideon murders all the remaining Dreamers against Iden's orders. Later, during their mission on Endor, he wishes to attack some Rebel soldiers patrolling the land, but Iden reins him in. Justified, since his parents were murdered by a Rebel bomb when he was 10, it's hard to blame him for wanting as many Rebels to be killed.

* UndyingLoyalty: His loyalty to the Empire is absolute, and he does not even once question his actions since they are in service to the Empire. [[spoiler:He eventually takes part in the destruction of world despite it having churned out Imperial loyalists like himself simply because the Emperor ordered it. Even thirty years later, he is so loyal to the Empire that he joins the First Order]].

* SmallRoleBigImpact: Out of all of Inferno Squad, he definitely plays the smallest role, but in the final level of ''Battlefront II'', [[spoiler:he feeds Kylo Ren a false location for the map to Luke, throwing him off the trail ''just'' long enough for Poe Dameron to find it first and kick off the events of the sequel trilogy. The Resistance owes its eventual victory to him]].

Unlike Iden, Hask, or even Seyn, he's never mentioned as ever having been a top student in the Imperial Academy.[[note]]This line of promotion makes little sense, since, while a ground soldier might develop the skill to be a specops soldier with some additional training, a soldier trained in ground combat and peacekeeping duties would not have the required skills of a soldier[[/note]]

Not only is The Dragon already a ZCE here, but Dragon Ascendant does not apply, as Hask is pursuing a different objective and under a faction distinct from the Empire.

* DragonAscendant: [[spoiler: With Garrick Versio's death at the main campaign, Hask take over as the BigBad for the Resurrection DLC.]]

* EvilCounterpart: Iden could be considered this to Leia Organa [[spoiler: prior to Iden's HeelFaceTurn]]. Both are strong-willed women who sought to be like their fathers and live up to their expectations. Both are very passionate about their chosen causes, and filled with contempt for everything the other side stands for, with Iden being wholly committed to destroying the Rebellion in service to the Empire and Leia is just as wholly committed to helping the Rebellion bring down the Empire; this stems with Iden growing up on a mostly peaceful planet that prospered under the Empire's rule, while Leia grew up on a peaceful planet that was destroyed by the Empire, which prior to that had prospered. Also, Iden was raised to be a soldier, Leia a senator and diplomat, but ultimately both women came out very combat-capable and both are excellent shots with a blaster. Finally, Iden dresses in predominantly black while Leia dresses in predominantly white do distinguish the sides that they are fighting for.

* MoralMyopia: [[spoiler: Hask claims that Iden and Del took everything from him when they betrayed him, despite the fact that they only did so because they were disgusted with the Empire intentionally killing its own people. Plus, they only turned on the Empire not Hask himself and it was Hask's own choice to stay with the Empire and kill his own comrades.]]

** In general, Iden is loyal to ''the Empire'' - its people, its soldiers, and what it supposedly stands for - moreso than it's actual people in charge. She is one of the few Imperials to make it to a powerful position while retaining their ability to care about people (at least, as long as they're also Imperials), [[PoorJudgeOfCharacter and she assumes that the Empire itself also cares in that way.]] In the game, [[spoiler: the Empire laying siege upon her homeworld despite it being loyal to the Empire makes her realize that it's actually willing to destroy everything just for obedience, and leads to her defection to the Rebellion]].

The daughter of Iden and Del.
----
* ActionGirl: She is her mother's daughter, after all. Her first scene is the two of them flying X-Wings through a treacherous field of comet debris and trading light barbs, showing that she's also an AcePilot.
* DeadGuyJunior: She's named after Iden's late mother, Zeehay Versio.

* FriendlySniper: Iden is proud of her when she realizes the first thing Zay did after [[spoiler:surviving the ''Corvus''[='=]s destruction]] is building a sniper nest and maintaining her position while Jinata Security forces and the First Order slug it out.
* GuileHeroine: She's not above bluffing to intimidate enemies, as she convinces J-Sec's fleet to surrender after threatening to fire the ''Corvus''[='=]s concussion missiles (the ship is not, in fact, armed with such equipment).
* StrongFamilyResemblance: She greatly resembles Iden and Del.
