* LegendaryInTheSequel: At the start of the game, Asahi, a Hunter initiate, talks about Flynn with awe, establishing that he is well known to the people of Tokyo. Though played with, as the game technically takes place in an alternate canon RIGHT before the end of the Neutral route, between Flynn becoming the inspiration of Tokyo and him taking the fight to Merkabah and Lucifer.

* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: Part of the reason why YHVH cannot properly function as its representative is because the Axiom exists on a vastly greater scale of existence that he cannot properly grasp its nature. Transcendent beings like Stephen is capable of grasping more of its nature and intentions, but even they are mentioned to simply have glimpsed a small part of the Axiom's cosmic movements.

Stephen, naturally, primarily uses Almighty attacks and elemental piercing moves, rendering those immunities moot. The only attacks Stephen has that the Demi-fiend can null are his Physical attacks, and other than his first attack, which is always Energy Compression on the Demi-fiend, the only time the Demi-fiend will ever get hit with one is if Stephen uses Convergence, which randomly targets.

* Irony: His stat distribution favors Magic, when in Nocturne, Strength and Physical attacks were generally far more potent. While this was likely done since the Hero and Aleph were both Badass Normals and limited to mostly non-magic attacks, it's still notable.
** Then again, this Demi-fiend did technically lose against Lucifer who is best fought with a Strength-focused Demi-fiend. With Lucifer's resistance to everything, he'll only take decent damage from Pierce damage which is reliant on Strength so naturally, a Demi-fiend with lower Strength is more likely to lose.

* BoringButPractical: Before , Hallelujah only has 2 non-offensive moves with Chiro, Warding Shout (which prevents your party from being afflicted by status ailments for 1 turn) and Enduring Cheer (allows Nanashi or a party demon to survive a fatal attack once for 1 turn). Having only 2 moves at his disposal makes him look unimpressive at a glance, but Warding Shout is very helpful against enemies and bosses who specialize in status ailments while Enduring Cheer helps especially when fighting enemies that carry hard hitting moves. His small move pool also means his AI will reliably choose the appropriate move during a turn, such as almost always using Warding Shout against . Lastly, he prevents your demons from being blown out of battle and becoming "lost" while he's the active partner.

* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Despite Dagda's claims that your friends are useless, the gameplay itself contradicts his views and he himself isn't selectable as an ally and only settles with resurrecting you, giving you a weapon to fight Shesha, keeping track of quests and VR training. Your allies on the other hand are always helping you in battle and their skills each give you a niche to work with depending on your playstyle; their combined attack is also helpful with turning the tide of battle even during the postgame.
