She blatantly favors monsters and, unlike canon where she still had Mewman guards, only hires monster ones and even bars Mewmans (including servants) from attending her coronation. There’s also the fact that she’s still with Globgor even though he admits to killing her mother in this continuity.
* AntiHero: She truly wants to make things better for monsters, she just forgets to take care of Mewmans as well.

* • Unlike his canon counterpart who rejects Eclipsas offer to free himself from the Crystal and has mellowed out greatly from his past. Even so she makes Mina swear not to hurt Star or her family before agreeing to help her and initially intended the warriors to serve only to scare Eclipsa away from the throne. It's too bad that Mina had no intention of keeping her promises.

* AbusiveParents: He doesnt care about Tom as a son, just a way of gaining more power by having him marry Star.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Is an abusive parent to Tom and even joins Mina in an attempt to dethrone Eclipsa and kill Star out of disapproval of both of them.
* EvilIsPetty: He wants to kill Star for rejecting his son and denying him access to the Butterfly throne.
* WouldHurtAChild: See EvilIsPetty, even worse considering Star is pregnant.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Though still racist to monsters and was even in on the plot to Yadda-Yadda Eclipsa in this continuity, unlike the cannon Manfred who happily turned on Star and had little characterization beyond being a stuffy steward, this version is genuinely nice to Star, speaks highly of Marco for sticking by her and cares about Star to the point of sacrificing himself for her. He also started having second thoughts about joining the rebellion towards the end of his life.
* HeroicSacrifice: He took a fatal hit from Mina that was intended for Star.
