* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Contrary to what he says and what Season 13 proves, he can reliably run multiple armor enhancements at once. It just requires deconstructing himself from the memories of the other [=A.I.=] fragments, essentially ending his existence as the Alpha reborn - and he does just that in order to power the Meta's armor for Tucker.
* DeadManWriting: Before sacrificing himself to allow Tucker the power required to run the Meta's armor, he leaves a recording for the Reds and Blues explaining everything and saying goodbye, along with other messages he left to each of the Reds and Blues for them to understand why he can't come back this time.

Tucker. Restoration later reveals the ramifications of this stunt, as his memory of Sigma is shown to be just as dangerous as the original.
In Restoration, he also leaves behind a series of pre-recorded messages for Caboose and the Reds in the event the Sigma Epsilon AI Fragment runs amok.

* GodzillaThreshold: Restoration reveals that Epsilon splitting himself into new AI Fragments based off the original emotional core Alpha AI Fragments was not only the last resort, but the only resort. Just as WordOfGod described them in the Season 13 finale, the Epsilon AI Fragments are not only the same as the original Alpha fragments, but just as potent. In the case of [=Epsilon!Sigma=], this is not a good thing as Epsilon's memory of Sigma shows himself to be just as malicious and obsessed with metastability as the original was. Epsilon realized this might happen and prepared a series of messages to help the Reds and Blues combat him in case he ran amok.

* KilledOffForReal: It appears he's dead for good following his sacrifice in the Season 13 finale.

* KilledOffForReal: It appears he's dead for good following his sacrifice in the Season 13 finale. While Restoration shows it's possible for him to come back in some form, its rendered moot by Caboose destroying the Memory Unit containing him and Texas.

* CloningBlues: If he can be considered a clone of the DirectorIn Halo lore, Smart AIs are created by "cognitive impression modelling", which involves machine-reading a living brain. As the brain is killed in the process it is common practice to clone an individual to use their brain as an [=A.I.=] template without killing the original. As [=RvB=] is (very loosely) set in the Halo universe it's probable that Church is an AI made by copying a flash clone of the Director.

Epsilon's more computer program than robot, so he fits Digital Abomination better.

* DigitalAbomination: Originally had shades of this before he gained a better sense over himself by Season 10, what with him being a highly dangerous and [=near-inscrutable=] MindHive that was (temporarily) worshiped as a god and even had to resort to AFormYouAreComfortableWith in order to communicate with others. Kill Em All is no longer a trope by itself because of a TRS decision and misuse.

* AlternateTimeline: Parodied during The Blood Gulch Chronicles. When he tries to travel back in time during Season 3 to SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong, he learns that he's stuck in a StableTimeLoop because of YouAlreadyChangedThePast. Any deviations he makes from the loop manifests as another copy of Church pulled from that resultant alternate timeline that appears in Church's "present" and with which his memory "syncs" with (i.e., the Church who tried to KillEmAll is pulled into the "real" present and all other Churches automatically know what he tried to do despite that technically never happening to them). Yes, it's even more confusing and nonsensical than it sounds here.

The closest the series has to a proper protagonist in the first several seasons -- the OnlySaneMan, a DeadpanSnarker, and world champion jerk, though he does have moments of kindness. A neurotic and almost perpetually angry individual who barely gets along with his teammates, Church is the defacto leader of the Blue Team since their commanding officer, Captain Flowers, died of a heart attack (or an aspirin overdose; it's kind of ambiguous).

** Epsilon showed a similar annoyance to everyone, but managed to better keep his anger under control for the most part. In Season 10, though, after he bonded with Carolina in "Out of Mind", he began to become just as dismissive of the others as she was, constantly siding with her against the others and brushing off their concerns as nothing important. It comes to a head in "Change of Plans" when he and Carolina make a plan to kill the Director, which involves turning the Reds, Tucker, and Caboose into glorified CannonFodder. When everyone else naturally refuses to go along with this plan, Epsilon tells them to "stop whining and do something useful for once", getting upset that they aren't willing to die for his personal vendetta. When the others all decide to walkout on him and Carolina for their mistreatment of them, he goes on a rant about how they all owe him this for everything they put him through over the years, blaming them all for his personal problems. Though he immediately regrets saying this and tries to apologize to them, it's to no effect. After this, Epsilon still snarked at the Blood Gulch Crew occasionally, but never purposely endangered their lives with a suicidal plan.
