* NeverFoundTheBody: According to Yang, Summer went on a mission and never returned. It's all she knows about Summer's fate. There is a grave, but no implication of a body buried there. Volume 8 brings up the possibility that her body has been mutilated and forcibly merged with a Grimm.

* AnAxeToGrind: In its melee form, Summer's weapon resembles a greataxe or halberd, deploying a blade from the butt of her rifle & using the barrel as the shaft.

In ''Literature/RWBYRomanHoliday'', he gives the 18-year-old Neopolitan a MaleGaze to which the goons escorting her voice their disgust because of the obvious age differences.

* VagueAge: While it's unknown how old he is, Yang does mock him for being too old to have "Junior" as a nickname. In ''Literature/RWBYRomanHoliday'', [[EvenEvilHasStandards his goons voice their disgust]] at his not-so-subtle MaleGaze upon the then at the time, 18-year-old Neopolitan, suggesting a significant age gap.
