The Fanservice example already mentions that this is a mostly averted trope, so I don't really think that this needs to be here.

* MsFanservice: Per the norm though ultimately {{Downplayed}} (though unlike the previous 3 female companions, she's actually the least fanservice-y of them all, which is {{Justified}} as Iris actually looks ''10'' where as Misty, May abd Dawn didn't), Iris will occasionally gets put into wearing bikinis and bathing suits, though nowhere near to the extent that Misty, May and Dawn had. Her bikini scene debut actually appears 3 episodes earlier before theirs did in their own series.

This doesn't really give a specific example, but the first time she does this was in the Striaton Gym challenge, where Ash still won (i.e. the narrative doesn't really agree with her here). For now, I'm removing this one mainly due to it not specifying anything in particular.

Badass Normal is only for characters with no powers whatsoever. Iris herself qualifies because she's a human, but all Pokemon have superpowers with or without the extra gimmicks.

AmbiguousSituation: Her return in ''Journeys'' features brief flashback shot with a Goodra alongside her Gible and Clair, but it’s never made clear if she caught at some point on her journey after catching Gible. She’s implied to own at least one more Pokémon by ''Journeys'', as she's [[spoiler:a regional Champion and competed in the Masters Tournament]], both of which require full teams of six, but whether or not that Goodra is her sixth Pokémon is never addressed.

I feel the dub change is worth noting since trying to become a Dragon Master is such a big part of her character.

Added DiffLines:

*DubInducedPlotHole: In the original Japanese version of ''Journeys'', while she is the champion of Unova, it is stated numerous times she is still not a Dragon Master and that she sees doing the World Championship Series as something on the path to being one. While the dub of her first appearance in the series keeps her line to Ash clarifying that, in the opening of the Masters' Tournament, the announcer calls her a Dragon Master, seemingly doing a 180 and going for an interpretation that becoming Unova Champion made her that, despite the original version's insistance that it didn't, making her reason for joining the World Championship series more murky in the dub (as well as it being a {{Retcon}} due to the earlier episode still saying she wasn't one yet).
