* HeroAntagonist: For a [[AntiHero certain]] [[NominalHero definition]] of "hero" anyway. Post-SanitySlippage, he seems to have deluded himself into thinking he's protecting humanity by ''murdering every single Amazons he can find'' despite the fact that the Amazons have retreated into exile and want nothing to do with human society anymore, though his action is pretty justified as episode 8 of second season shows that some Amazons are still attacking humans despite their exile. [[spoiler:In season 2, he tries to kill Chihiro, his own son to stop the spread of the new Amazons.]]

to:

* HeroAntagonist: For a [[AntiHero certain]] [[NominalHero definition]] of "hero" anyway. Initially, Jin was a BoomerangBigot who saw his crusade against the Amazons as a fight to protect humanity. While brusque and uncompromising, he had a vague semblance of right and wrong. Post-SanitySlippage, he seems to have deluded himself into thinking he's protecting humanity by ''murdering much of that civility is gone and in its place is a madman that tap-dances on top of the line between protector and serial-killer; murdering every single Amazons Amazon he can find'' despite the fact that the Amazons have retreated into exile and want nothing to do find with human society anymore, though a sadistic smile on his action is pretty justified as episode 8 of second season shows that some Amazons are still attacking humans despite their exile. [[spoiler:In face. In season 2, he even [[spoiler: tries to kill Chihiro, his own son son, to stop the spread of the new Amazons.]]

Added DiffLines:

* ProtagonistJourneyToVillain: Downplayed, given the GrayAndGrayMorality at-play. Jin starts off as uncompromising but fairly reasonable, with a vague sense of right and wrong and self-awareness in regards to his fight. Near the end of the first season however, he continues to pursue the remaining Amazons despite [[spoiler: Operation Tlaloc]] wiping most of them out. It's at this point that his crusade veers into unhealthy, obsessive territory: The sudden opposition to his crusade from numerous sides as well [[spoiler: as Nanaha being pregnant with half-breed Chihiro between seasons]] is what makes him finally snap; turning him into a major antagonist for Season's 2's endgame.

Deemed to be a character reaction and hence misuse of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome. More info here.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: WideEyedIdealism can only take one so far on its own. Haruka's insistence on only protecting the innocent while destroying the savage has little impact on a situation where everyone's forced to be savage. Haruka's [[HeroicNeutral sympathy towards Humans and Amazons]], while admirable, prevents him from dealing with threats like [[SuperPersistentPredator Jin]] and 4C. By Season 2 even the Amazons [[BrokenPedestal have lost faith in him]] and he's deemed a WildCard by just about everybody; nipping any chance of being a SpannerInTheWorks in the bud.

* WideEyedIdealist: PlayedForDrama. Haruka is just about the only character who believes peace between humans and Amazons is an achievable ideal in the face of both sides continuing to kill one another. This is however not portrayed as a positive. Haruka's idealism is generally derided in-universe as blind during the first season and outright detrimental in the second; ranging from [[WildCard inconsistency]] to outright BystanderSyndrome. His HeroicNeutral mentality is consistently demonstrated to be noble yet ineffective, [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome putting more people in danger than it saves]]. By the end of both seasons, only one person still (barely) trusts him and he's enacted no lasting change.

* FinishingMove:
** Violent Punish: A powerful slash capable of bisecting an enemy in one swipe.
** Violent Break: He has three variations using the Battler Grip. In its spear mode Haruka impales the opponent by throwing it, grabs the opponent and pull them into a slash with his arm blades in whip mode or brings it down like a pickaxe in scythe mode to finish Amazons off.
** Violent Strike: Omega's Rider Kick, a leaping kick resulting in the target being slashed by the blades on the back of his calves. Least used finisher, similar to the original Amazon.
