* EvilIsSexy: He's played by Douglas Booth. Just look at his character image.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Something is clearly wrong with the guy (rapid mood swings, indifference to human life, complete lack of empathy, [[ParentChildIncest unhealthy obsession with his mother]]) but there's no explicit cause. Granted, it could all be chalked up to his insanely long life, but he seems a lot less stable than his siblings.

* AwesomeMcCoolname: Jupiter Jones sounds very cool, which was probably intentional on the part of her astronomer father.

* To be honest, though - Earth can't possibly be the only thing in her inheritance. If someone's around almost 90,000 years and plans on having her reincarnation written into her will, then there's got to be ''much'' more than a single planet available to that reincarnated self. It's much more likely that she simply wants her family to still live somewhat normal lives, and occasionally do things to help them out.

* NoodleIncident: He once ripped the throat out of an "Entitled." How and why he did it is never fully explained.
* ShirtlessScene: He has to take his shirt off to allow Stinger to heal his wounds. For some [[{{Fanservice}} reason]], he doesn't put the shirt back on once the wounds are healed. And then Jupiter is kidnapped while he's still shirtless, so he spends the next ten or so minutes of the film bare-chested as he chases after her.

* EvilSoundsRaspy: Throughout the film, he speaks as if he has a sore throat. However, there are times when he [[SuddenlyShouting raises his voice]].

* IronicEcho: One of Jupiter's first lines in the film is "I hate my life." In the movie's climax Balem tells Jupiter that his mother used to say the same thing.
