* KindheartedSimpleton: Mungo would much rather make friends, than fight, and is easily distracted by small animals like kittens snd butterflies.

* DubNameChange: Called Isidoro in the European Spanish and Italian dubs, Berenguer in the Catalan dub, Pícaro in the Mexican and Venezuelan dubs (Spanish-language versions for other parts of Latin America kept Heathcliff), Nisse in Swedish and Harry in Polish.

* BagofKidnapping: Sonja got kidnapped in one episode which angers Heathcliff.

* CoolLoser: Though the leader of his own gang, Riff-Raff is all but outright stated to be second-fiddle to Heathcliff. Likewise, he's smart enough to know how to get things done, but his plans tend to fail half the time. The same can be said of his looks, which Cleo and other females have described as cute for an alley cat, but still scruffy-looking.

* GirlNextDoor: Cleo fills the role, despite her looks and uptown status, being that she's down-to-earth. At most, she'll demand a bit of excitement now and then. Otherwise, she accepts Riff-Raff for [[CoolLoser who he is]], rather than trying to change him.

* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: Hector and others have wondered why a fine feline, like her, would settle for a guy ''[[CoolLoser like Riff-Raff]]'' when she can easily have someone classier. A fact that she's well aware of and has weaponized whenever she thinks Riff-Raff is taking her for granted.

The defacto leader of the ThreeAmigos (at least, [[SmallNameBigEgo in his own mind]]), Hector thinks he's smarter, stronger and braver than he really is. His particular brand of {{Zany Scheme}}s usually revolve around his own personal gain -- and naturally backfire spectacularly.

* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: Cleo and Bush move in with Riff Raff and his gang in "Cleo Moves In" after they get ejected from their music store home due to an animal ban on the property. Riff Raff initially welcomes the idea, but Cleo's NeatFreak tendencies and redecorating quickly get on his and the others' nerves (not to mention she threw Riff Raff out of his own house so she can use it). The Catillac Cats quickly try to find a way to get the animal ban on the music store lifted so Cleo can return back to her own home. After this happens, Cleo and Bush decide they actually want to stay in the junkyard, permanently... so Riff Raff and his friends have to force them out.

* BagofKidnapping: Sonji got kidnapped in one episode which angers Heathcliff.

* NiceHat: Always wears a red knit ski cap.

* SycophanticServant: The lackey to [[CoolLoser Riff-Raff.]]

* IdiotSavant: While an DumbMuscle, he is skilled in cooking, and has astounding strength, and fighting prowess.
* KindheartedSimpleton: Very gentle but also quite dimwitted and lighthearted in personality.

* TheStarscream: Particularly in "Hector's Takeover", where he tries to depose Riff Raff as leader. It doesn't go well. In "Lard Times," he outrights states that it was his goal to take over Heathcliff's territory.

* TheBigGuy: Mongo's the biggest one in the gang in terms of height, girth, and brute strength.
* DoesNotKnowHisOwnStrength: Which often results in Mongo accidentally breaking things, or ripping car doors off their hinges unintentionally.
