Sho's [[TheRival Rival]], Aptom is a Lost Number who's power was defined by copying their opponents looks. After some modifications by Barcas and Sho injuring him, He gains the abilities to absorb other Zoanoids and copy everything about them, even their powers and appearances.

* BFG: A Hyper Zoanoid in book 27 has a large beam cannon for a torso!

* AffablyEvil: He consistently treats his allies with respect, and is actually much ''more'' understanding towards Sho than most of the latter's friends are. Just don't forget that he's got his own agenda.

* FromASingleCell: The Guyver's control metal can regenerate the host completely with there memories intact even from only the smallest scraps of tissue on the control metal.

** There's a bullseye on the ''forehead'' of any guyver also know as the control metal. Since the control metal is vital, damaging it will cause a host's guyver form to go wonky and destroying it will cause the armor to eat the host alive.

The Guyver is the product of a Uranus bio-adapted armor bonding and enhancing a human host. The armor itself adapts itself to the user so the power of the merged being depends on the host's potential. As humans were engineered to be bio-weapons, the bio-armor system increases there powers far beyond even the aliens that created them. Later, humans that had been merged with the armor were referred to as "Guyver" which in the Uranus' language means "beyond normal" or "Abnormal". This is because a Guyver is beyond the control of the Uranus' psychic domination.

* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Thancrus, sliced in half by Guyver III.

* UnskilledButStrong: For a large part of the manga Sho's only really able to give Chronos trouble because of the raw power advantage he has over Zoanoids while having no combat training. Played up in his fight with Lisker, who's equally powerful and also a black belt, and Sho only wins because Lisker's Guyver being damaged gave him an opening.

* RidiculouslyAverageGuy: Compared to Agito, Risker, and Valcuria he's extremely average, being a student while the other three have had combat training...it makes his acts of heroism and his level in bad ass all the more dramatic.

the third Guyver ever revealed, Agito helps Sho and the others ight Chronos in their plans for world conquest. However, he has his own agenda, which comes in conflict with Sho's desire.

* ObliviousToLove: Tetsuro is at disbelief that she didn't noticed Sho's Crush.

* PostHistoricalTrauma: finding out the origin of the humanity was too much for her.

First shown as journalist that takes interest on Sho and Chronos, Murakami is a proto-Zoalord bent on destroying Chronos, and by extension, Richard Guyot. [[spoiler: He was [[BackFromTheDead Revived]] by Archanfel, becoming Imarakum Mirabilis, the 13th Zoalord]]

* FlawedPrototype: As a prototype Zoalord, he's weaker than other Zoalords (though stronger than an average Zoanoid by a long shot) and [[spoiler: [[SecretlyDying doesn't have long to live]]]]. [[spoiler: now that he's a full fledged Zoalord, it doesn't seem to be the case anymore.]]

* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: He might be only as strong as a Zoanoid and he's exhausted after using his power. But he's a much better team mate against Enzyme III instead of another Guyver.

* TheSmartGuy: He knew a lot about Cloud Gate's security and used more strategy to fight, when he could.

* ContinuityDrift: Partially, one of the few in the manga actually, but he never attempts a doppleganger attack again after book seven, except in book 14 to teach Sho a lesson.

* FashionableAsymmetry: The body of Evil Aptom takes this up to eleven and them multiplies it.

* GoodCostumeSwitch: His recent form after being rescued by Sho and Hayami. After [[spoiler: Hayami sacrifices his body to let aptom absorb him and revive, Aptom who is deeply touch by his sacrifice, decides to carry out his wish to help destroy Chronos (it helps that Aptom hated Chronos anyway). His new form is insect like and resembles his previous form yet blends in a few of Hayami's zoanoid traits and has white as the primary colors. Overall, the form itself very humanoid and looks closer to a Guyver than a zoanoid.]]

* VoluntaryShapeshifting: that's how he get his new forms.

* NerdsAreSexy: She was part of the same sci-fi club as Tetsuro and yet is quite attractive...leads to..

* ADayInTheLimeLight: The first chapter of book 28 has he and Natsuki discussing events. Partially re-cap but at least we hear their thoughts on the matter. It's a better way tan usual.

Zoanoids are enhanced humans capable of transforming into a powerful and monstrous bio-weapons. The process of creating Zoanoids originated from extra-terrestrial visitors that manipulated Earth's biosphere for millennium until they created the perfect bio-weapon for their needs: humans. The first Zoanoids were created by the Uranus, approximately 110,000 years ago, as the final outcome of their bio-weapons development program.

* BoomHeadShot: In the OVA he get's half his head blown off with the pressure cannon...it just knocked him out for a moment.

Hyper-Zoanoids are a recent innovation of Chronos and where not originally envision by the Uranus. Hyper-Zoanoids are enhanced zoanoids that are much stronger than standard zoanoids with unique abilities. Unlike standard zoanoids, they are much harder to create and the process for making them requires constant oversight as processing conditions are unique for every individual.

The original zoalord that the Uranus created to command their zoanoid armies. Archanfel was completely loyal to the creators until the day they equipped a human with a bio-armor unit. Afterwards they fled the earth for fear that such a power would fall into archanfel's hands. In the present day, Archanfel is the founder of Chronos and the leader of the 12 holy commanders. For all of his power he has a hidden weakness that may spell the end for him soon.

* EarthShatteringKaboom: What happened when he used all of his powers to destroy [[ColonyDrop the asteroid the creators sent to destroy the earth.]] So..Kaboom but not quite so earth shattering.

* SuperPrototype: Archanfel is the first and only true zoalord. He was engineered specifically to be a zoalord. All of the other zoalords are just humans processed to mimic his biology and implanted with zoacrystals grown from samples harvested from his zoacrystal. It's even been stated that even if all 12 of the other zoalords combined their power, they's still stand no chance against Archanfel. [[spoiler: Not quite true. He jobs to Guyot in his first appearance.]]

* DarkIsNotEvil: Extremely loyal to Barcus and explaining if not for him he would never learn self respect or more about the world.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: In an interview Takaya gives a PetTheDog moment when he declares that Guyot has never known love thus it's why he's so cold and cruel.
