* TheSmartGirl: Ostensibly, of the Dawn Brigade, since Nolan was meant to be the leader. Later serves as such to Daein's various armies as a tactician. She actually proves to be a good enough leader to delay the Laguz Army in Part 3 [[spoiler: despite lacking her premonition powers because of the extreme chaos of war.]] An interesting contrast to some of her actions in Part 1, where she shows how her introvert personality makes her do... questionable decisions, such as [[IdiotBall wandering away from camp without telling anyone where she was going and getting cornered by Jarod and his men.]] The only reason she survived that is because the [[DeusExMachina BlackKnight showed up to bail her out.]] Fortunately, she never makes another decision that dumb for the rest of the narrative.

* WeaponOfChoice: Thani, her personal light tome, which works like a magic rapier, effective against Armor and Cavalry. The fact that unlike most of the ''Fire Emblem'' protagonists she doesn't have a proper [[SwordOfPlotAdvancement Ultimate Weapon]] makes Thani her signature weapon, connecting its effects to Micaiah herself. For example, in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' every single version of Micaiah has Armor/Cavalry slaying, even her dancer alt (despite only base Micaiah having Thani properly).

* WeaponOfChoice: ''Heroes'' gives him Peshkatz, which allows him to give himself and all allies within 2 spaces of him +4 to all their stats and inflicts on his target and all foes within 2 spaces of that target -4 to all their stats after combat if Sothe attacked. A refinement raises that to +5 and -5 to all stats, and the unique refine allows him to gain +4 Attack and Speed during combat and allows him to give himself and all allies within 2 spaces -1 special cooldown and inflicts on the target and all foes within 2 spaces of the target +1 special cooldown after combat if he attack, all which activates if he is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.

* WeaponOfChoice: The Cymbeline tome, the second most-powerful Fire tome in the game, has 13 might, 95 hit, 10 crit, 5 weight, and effective against beast laguz (useless as, due to Ashera unfreezing beorc supremacists, Begnion not using Feral Ones, and the fact it's the Hawk Army, not the Silver Army, that brings Izuka to justice, she will never have the opportunity to fight beast laguz). In comparison, the Rexflame, the strongest of all fire magic, has '''only''' 14 might, 100 hit, 5 crit, a whopping 13 weight but gives +3 speed.

However, Kyza uses female pronouns and speech patterns in the Japanese version, and while this is normally a Japanese stereotype of CampGay characters, the 20th anniversary encyclopedia describes him as "the body is male but the heart is female?", indicating that Kyza may actually be a trans woman. It's difficult to say with 100% certainty though, because Kyza is OutOfFocus in the game. In ''Fire Emblem Heroes'', the English version [[GenderNeutralWriting uses they/them pronouns]] to refer to Kyza, enforcing the idea that Kyza might be trans or non-binary. It's worth noting that "the body is male but the heart is female" is a common, somewhat derogatory way to refer to gay men in Japanese. [[VideoGame/FireEmblemGaiden Leon]] is referred to in similar terms, but unlike Kyza the localization makes no mention of Leon identifying as anything but male, so original intent is difficult to determine.
