* FakeBoobs: She notices the ...gap between her and [[BoobsOfSteel Noi]] when taking measurements for their Blue Night attire, so Ebisu has her dress modified so it seems she “grew“. Noi is the only one who calls attention to it and isn’t squicked out.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: While Kaiman is violent during combat, he makes sure to direct his anger towards assholes and villainous mage users. And despite his rather gruesome fashion of offing his foes, Kaiman would make sure that they deserved it. It also doubles with him being a BullyHunter.

[[spoiler:It turns out that the person the man inside his mouth is looking for is Kaiman himself, or rather Kai, the previous personality to inhabit Kaiman's body.]]

* AntiHero: Pragmatic Anti-Hero. He's rather nice with those he considers his friends, and it's mostly because he lives in a CrapsackWorld that he brutally slaughters any sorcerers that come to Hole, who usually show up there to [[BalefulPolymorph practice]] their magic on people. On the other hand, his killing spree of mages is ''indiscriminate'', he kills them immediately after biting their heads solely on the grounds that they're mages. (he would have killed a fortune teller had Nikaido not shown up and he turned out to be benevolent, and he later kills a taxi driver just so he wouldn't have to pay a tab with a currency he didn't have).

* BalefulPolymorph: Twice.
** [[spoiler: Asu turns him into Nikaido as a stand in for her, after she was momentarily freed of En's brainwashing into being his magic partner. Chota was most definitely not happy about it at first, until he realized that it would bring him closer to En.]]

* AmazonianBeauty: Most people thought she was a guy thanks to her usual outfit of choice: a loose-fitting jumpsuit + gruesome mask which conceals her entire features. Later on, her gender is revealed and some characters are surprised to find out that she's actually quite busty, not to mention has a very feminine face despite her bulk. Even later she starts wearing more flattering clothes and there's even a couple of panels where she's completely topless.

* KnightOfCerebus: After his appearance, the whole story becomes DarkerAndEdgier. He kills En and takes over the Magic Users' World, leading to wholesale slaughter. The {{Gorn}} gets taken UpToEleven.

* TheArchmage: Considered by Chidaruma himself a contender for the strongest sorcerer in the world, En's power is only silly at first glance, later in the series he shows ludicrous aplications to his mushrooms and boasts natural black powder reserves to absurd levels, with no other sorcerer matching said feat, [[spoiler:like protecting his crew by spewing a magic mushroom shield for ''26 hours straight'']]!

** [[spoiler: Using black powder is normally a death sentence for any family (and many non-family) Magic-Users if he finds out, due to it’s association with his nemesis. He spares Ebisu due to her mental illnesses despite having concrete proof she’s an addict]]

Fujita's former partner. Said to be a competant mage despite appearances, his death at Kaiman's hands triggers the overall plot of Dorohedoro.

* ACupAngst: Has plenty of it. She's constantly jealous of Noi and Nikaido's {{Boobs of Steel}}.

* AxCrazy: He started off as coolheaded and rational, but the trauma of death and Hole's growing influenc turns him into a nigh-feral lunatic who leads the Cross-Eyes a KillEmAll crusade against all Magic Users.

A new recruit to the Cross-Eyes after their return, and a gunslinger extrodinaire. He rose through the ranks rather quickly with his ability to incite others to fight for him and his combat skills. Unfortunately, he's ''very'' unstable.

* VerbalTic: often ends his sentences with a very Skeletor-like “Nyehhh”

* CoolHouse / BoringButPractical: It's rather normal-looking on the inside but can easily accommodate a dozen devils.

A Magic User and gang leader of a sort. His "Family" engages in various enterprises, obviously quite successful as he lives in what amounts to a small town. He has great influence in the Magic Users' world and has connections to Devils. If the origin story [[UnreliableNarrator in his movie is to be believed]], his magic was strong enough as a child to [[SelfMadeOrphan turn both of his parents into mushrooms]]. Afterwards, he was abducted by weak Magic Users who held him prisoner and sold his smoke on the black market. Eventually, he was discarded and ended up in hell, where he apparently impressed the Devils enough to escape. He returned to the place where he had been imprisoned and freed the others, starting his "Family." Somewhere along the line he sent his men to fight the Cross-Eyes, and many of them died. After that, En decided that his destiny was to take down the boss of the Cross-Eyes.

* IncompatibleOrientation: Chota has it bad for En, but En has shown no interest in men.
