"Totally normal" humans generally do not live that long, and if he really is just a human he will not go to Hell (Where his tortured soul form could have waited out the contract). Plus in a more short term sense, when he is thrown out into the world as a defenseless baby, what little remains of Hole-kun emerges from his clothing, staring at him and stating how much it hates sorcerers. It's ambiguous as to whether the remains of Hole-kun will try will protect the human he is now, or will sense the magic sealed inside him and kill him.]]

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: oddly enough for a rambling EldritchAbomination, the people of Hole are almost universally on his side. His death and lingering curse form the basis of a very popular organized religion in the epilogue. This is implied to at least be partially thanks to the same instinctual process described in UnusuallyUninterestingSight. Dr. Vaux, who became friends with Magic Users and no longer wants their total destruction, cannot resist getting a Hole-kun statue of his own, and cannot explain why he cannot resist getting one.

* AgentPeacock: More like [[IncrediblyLamePun Agent Crow]].

A devil in pointy, papal looking robes, Dustin trains those looking to survive devil training and helps guide them through the [[JustForPun hellish]] days they will have in store. As befitting a teacher, he is patient and likes to see the growth of his students.

* OreOnna: She uses the masculine ''ore'' to refer to herself, making it harder to tell that she's a woman while her face is covered.

** [[spoiler:Using black powder is normally a death sentence for any family (and many non-family) Magic-Users if he finds out, due to it’s association with his nemesis. He spares Ebisu due to her mental illnesses despite having concrete proof she’s an addict]]

* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:En ordered to Ebisu and Dokuga to collect all the mushrooms to form him back.]] No one knows what's going to happen since [[spoiler:Dokuga]] ran off with a couple of Mushrooms and then [[TheDreaded Kai]] appeared before him.

* SlasherSmile: More notable because of how mild mannered and affable he normally looks without his mask. It’s also is much more a toothy sneer of hatred than an ear-to-ear grin.

The second in command of the Cross-Eyes, Dokuga was the most trusted member of the gang and has become it's unnofficial leader after the disappearance of the boss. Loyal to his gang, extremely skilled in hand to hand combat, and able to kill Magic Users with ease, he reflects the ideal of what a Cross-Eye should be capable of. He is extremely devoted to his small group of friends, who, like him, live in poverty to make sure that En does not find them.\\\

* TheUnintelligible: Can only make wet splashing sounds with what's left of it's neck. Aikawa still holds a full conversation with it.

** StoutStrength: ...yep. He makes his introduction by squeezing a thug’s brains out and tossing him into window.

* BodyHorror: Simple decapitation wouldn't be enough for this manga. Instead parts of his chest have been shaved off to, leaving a clear window into his innards.

* SadisticChoice: [[spoiler: She was undergoing training to become a devil when she was younger, the final phrase of which involves not using your magic until the Blue Night. Unfortunately, three days before her train ended, Noi and Shin were attacked by a pair of magic-users and Shin was fatally wounded from having jumped in to save Noi from a killing blow. Noi chose to ruined her contract and heal Shin.]]

* BenevolentGenie: [[spoiler:Kaiman’s temporary magic by the end of the series, after being filled with magic power by all remaining devils Chidaruma had betrayed, he conjures a talking gyoza that looks silly at first, but it proves itself to be the most powerful magic ability in the series, being a literal genie that can materialize all sorts of offensive and defensive measures for Kaiman to use at his request, the gyoza is quite friendly to its master to boot, advising Kaiman on what he should use against Hole-kun]].

* FriendlyEnemy: When she meets Nikaido, she is pretty impressed by Nikaido's strength, and declares that the two of should be friends. When Nikaido is kidnapped by the family in a later storyline, Noi cheerfully greets the BoundAndGagged prisoner (whom she doesn't remember from before), and even heals her injuries while cleaning her. [[spoiler:Later, when Kasukabe, Shin's close friend, starts to stay with them with several other Hole residents, Noi gets along with them just as well as Shin does.]]

* FakeBoobs: She notices the ...gap between her and Noi when taking measurements for their Blue Night attire, so Ebisu has her dress modified so it seems she “grew“. Noi is the only one who calls attention to it and isn’t squicked out.
