* DropTheHammer: His main weapon is an enormous warhammer that makes the Chaos Eater look tiny by comparison. For that matter, makes War look puny. Judging by his personality, tastes in building design and location, skills and hammer, he's the inspiration for Thor amongst humanity.

* DropTheHammer: Carries a very huge one.

* DropTheHammer: It carries a massive one into combat.

* BerserkButton: He does not like people touching his things without permission, uninvited people on his property and strangers in general. One or all of those will most likely result in an ass-whooping, as the Hellguard (and almost War) learned the hard way.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He's the leader of the last Makers in the Forge Lands [[spoiler:and can shrug off a massive blow from the Guardian as if it was just a regular punch to the face.]]

A warrior Maker who (according to the description of the helmet you find in the side quest "Lost and Found") is also Ulthane's brother. His function in the game is to sell you combat moves and to give you optional quests to powerful {{Bonus Boss}}es: Gorewood, Bheithir, Achidna, and Argul.

* MercyKill: When giving the quest to kill [[{{Treants}} Gorewood]], he explicitly states this is the goal, as while Gorewood was once a stalwart ally to the Makers, he's too far gone to Corruption to be reasoned with or left alone. When Death returns to inform him the deed is done, he expresses sadness at the necessity of the mission in contrast to the other {{Bonus Boss}}es.

* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:He gives up his life force to purify the Guardian from the Corruption that drove it mad and resurrect it.]]
* HornyVikings: His appearance is much evocative of theirs. Bonus points as Makers are giant dwarves.

* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: They weren't kidding about it being the largest Construct; it's so huge that even a Warden would probably only come up to about its lower ''waist''. It requires no less than three Heart Stones to fully awaken when most only require one.

* DegradedBoss: After killing Gharn, Death will come across Construct Champions, who are effectively Gharn recast as a MiniBoss with the same moves and appearance, though in this case it's {{justified}} in that Gharn may simply had been Construct Champion with the privilege of a name.

A Construct created by the shaman Muria, who attempted to see if it were possible to create one without a Maker's soul. Using a fire elemental's soul, it was technically a success, but Ghorn went mad and escaped. Muria tasks Death with putting an end to Ghorn to stop his rampage and put an end to his own suffering.

* MagmaMan: Ghorn can manipulate lava, doing so by beating his fists into the ground and causing lava plumes to shoot up into the sky.

* UndergroundMonkey: Ghorn is effectively Gharn with a red color scheme, albeit with a few unique moves of his own.

A shaman of the Makers. Muria sell talismans and potions. She even tasks Death with collecting three special items needed for her to make him the Grim Talisman.

* MyGreatestFailure: According to one of the side quests, Muria once tried to make a construct without a Maker's soul. It... didn't go so well. She requests that Death destroy her creation, to both put it out of its misery and prevent it from hurting others.

* OlderThanTheyLook: How long they live isn't stated, but Kharn talks about 500 years as though it were young. To emphasize that, if you speak to Thane right after the Tears of the Mountain quest, he'll imply that a two ''thousand'' year old is the maker equivalent of a small child.

* EmbarrassingNickname: "Pup", given to him by his fellow Makers. Naturally, [[DeadpanSnarker Death]] starts calling him that too as soon as he's informed of it.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:His reaction to he and Death accidentally corrupting the Guardian and sending it on a rampage.]]

* WakeUpCallBoss: If you haven't gotten a handle of how Death's dodging skills go and fight him at the first available opportunity, Thane ''will'' punish you heavily for it with how just one strike from his [[MightyGlacier slow and highly-telegraphed axe will take out most of your health bar]] while you chip away at his massive health bar. Defeating him regardless at this early stage will make you a master dodger by the end.

* MightyGlacier: In his duel, he is quite slow with highly-telegraphed attacks, but if you fight him when you first meet him, he can and will one-shot you. His health is quite a bit higher than any boss faced up to that point as well.

* TheQuietOne: He hardly says a word, and merely grunts to communicate.

* BadassGrandpa: The oldest of the Makers, by the look of his title and appearance.
